Ah the United States economy. You gotta love it. Have you thought of making it at home? It couldn't hurt to try right? I love to cook and bake. Thats why I ask.

Sarah: What amazes me is, not that my wife bakes, but that she manages to do it so fast. Like, she just did it in no time...

Well once you have made something a lot it usually takes no time at all. Like for me, I have made my brwonies so much that its almost second nature. It also depends on the recipe. Some are very simple some are a lot more complicated. I know for my churches tailgating party I will be making little individual pies, german chocolate cupcakes and probably semlor. It sounds like your wife and I would get a long real well. :D

Sarah: Glad you're making progress!

Hope you'll soon also be able to concentrate well on your regular Bible reading.

Blessings.
Yes I am doing well. Though i am worried that one of my incisions is infected. The nurse says I should be fine until the second though.

Sarah:

Well, you have every right to make your concerns known to the nurse.

I reckon you may have gone through similar feelings when your tattoos were still healing.

If the wound thing is still a concern after a while, tell the nurse again.

Blessings.

Good morning Sister...........glad you are seeing progress........

Did the Dr. not give you/your Mom instructions on how to clean the incisions? They should have.

Well I've never had surgery before so im a little paranoid about it. I do keep the area around it and the incision itself very clean. But no ive never had this concern about my tattoos. Thats all really easy to care for. Really I usually keep it covered for a few days to a week make sure its never dry and always wash it when you shower. Tattoo care is super easy :)

Oh they told me how to properly care for it. The thing is, they didn't actually stitch it up. They used the steri strips. Now they worked fine on my other four incisions but this one is right beneath the belly button. I personally think they should have stitched it up. People use those muscles for pretty much everything. So I think it must have come off when I was getting out of bed at some point.

Sarah: Yes, cleanliness is very important, and I think women have a special instinct about keeping things clean. Particularly important, post-surgery, of course.

And you're quite right. Tattoo care is so widely known and practised and understood that it's so often a benign routine, what with the fact that many parlors are more like salons these days, and with at least 60% - 70% of people having done it being women in any case.

With surgery, though, it's good to avoid risks of infection.

Blessings.

ah, ok..........and I agree........they should have stitched that one up........I do not like the steri-strips, rather have staples.

Did you know that some folks.........including Paramedics..........use Super Glue in an emergency to close a wound?

It works!

I think you may be right on that one. I can not stand to be in dirty places. Its almost like a compulsive thing to clean it.

Yes, and it's maybe this wholesome women's instinct about cleanliness that has turned the atmosphere of parlors into more like salons as well.

Glad you are doing a bit better anyway.

You were in the military, Sarah?
No. That line of work just isn't for me. I do know a lot of people in it though. Two of my brothers are in it a third is joining and when Abram graduates high school he will be joining.
