I reckon Alaska was impressive.

Blessings.
Alaska was amazing. Except for the coast. Others may disagree. But when they shovel tons upon tons of heavy wet snow and get whiplash from the wind, then they can tell me how "great" the coast of Alaska is.

Interior much better, regardless of the subzero temps in winter. Plus there are trees, which didn't have to be planted there by people. Bear, moose, salmon, wild lingonberries and blueberries, native bead-work and dancing, and who can forget the Iditarod?

Yes, Alaska's wildlife must be amazing.

A lot of Canadians do the Alaska coastal cruise, around Juneau, Sitka, etc.

Blessings.

None. I've visited none of the US states.
well, there is something to be said for living a "sheltered life......"

but, then, when there is an expanse of what..........4 or 5 thousand miles of ocean betwixt you and US.........one can understand your lack of US travel..........

Maine is pretty average, but it does have it's moments. Like when the wet snow weighs down the younger trees to bow over a pasture or make a tunnel through the woods on and old dirt road. Or when you're standing on the rocks on the beach watching the tide come in just 6 inches from your being, cold salt water splashing your face. Or when you're dipping Fresh soft shell lobster and clams into melted butter. Or riding through wooded unknown viewing the changed leaves and looking at wild turkeys and whitetail deer. Yeah it has it's moments.

Thanks BTW about the "panda". I change it up once in a while. It's due for a swap out.
not for nothing........but that description is far better than "standard" but, now, that may just be me....... :)

IMO the cruise does not give the real AK experience. So, to me it's just whale watching and glacier viewing. A bunch a malarkey. But I am sure that they have fun.

Aw only one of y'all has visited the land of Enchantment (or entrapment as the locals like to call it)

My home state aside

Arizona
Texas
Utah
Colorado (I've been to the four corners so I think it still counts)
California
Nevada (viva las Vegas!)
Georgia
Florida (I lived there for about 4 years)
New York

Aaand I think thats it. Though lately I've been wanting to visit Washington state, snd DC as well as Maryland. And its very possible that in the near future I will be visiting Louisiana.

Actually visited seeing sights

Florida
South Carolina
North Carolina
Tennessee
West Virginia
Washington DC
Louisiana Nawlins:D (pre Katrina)
Kansas
Colorado
California

The most impressive was Colorado just because when you walk out of the doors of Walmart the view was unbelievable. Just note manual transmissions strongly discouraged!

The beaches on the Gulf side of FL are spectacular.

I love love my home state of Georgia!! Beautiful state full of great things to do!

Sarah: Yes, the Southwest sounds great!

Santa Fe would be impressive, I think.

So you like Vegas, do you?

Blessings.

So you like Florida's Gulf coast more than the Atlantic side? less windy on the beach, maybe.

The water is see through clear aquamarine and almost pond like still. Alot of beaches the sand is powder white and you get to see the sun set over the water. Atlantic side is more gray blue colored, sometimes with strong rip currents, just wilder, rougher. But the moment the sun breaks the water at sunrise is pretty special too:) I will see about digging up some photos.

I actually love Santa Fe. Thats where I was raised. Its not huge. The down town area is my favorite. I strongly encourage you or anyone to visit during the spring maybe summer and definitely the winter. They decorate the downtown area for christmas and its really beautiful. Plus there are a lot of churches in the downtown area. Santa fe has a lot in general. But I love visiting the St. Francis of Assisi Cathedral. The Laredo Chapel is pretty famous. Ive never been in Our Lady of Guadalupe. I think I spelled that right. Ive been in the Scottish Rite temple....no offense to the Scots but that place creeps me out. Plus the mountains are right there and they are wonderful. There is also a lot of open to the general public entertainment in the plaza. Im glad im moving back.

We have been down as far as South Carolina (just think of all those freezing Canadians!) But the Gulf beaches sound wonderful, especially for those who have not yet bought the: "Don't do any tanning!" health advice.

Blessings.

Sarah:

What might go on inside the Spanish-looking cathedral in Santa Fe might not interest me, but it's an impressive building that must give character to the city.

Blessings.

Well....its the same as what's going on inside a English speaking cathedral. Only in Spanish :D. 3/4 of the population in new Mexico is Mexican so a lot of churches/cathedrals have spanish masses and services.
