Don't blame you. You have a guy on here who thinks he is prophet Isaiah and curses people because he thinks he's kinda special.

Start a thread and people want to try and start an argument.

I thought arguing with JWs, Mormons, LDS, & COC was bad enough but to argue with those over scripture placing their ideals above the word is just how can I put it? It's just sickening!

Good Luck and God Bless I can't blame you for your decision.

Yes it is. Here is an example.

Then read the following post. Context and grammar? What is the accusation? I'm ill-litter-ate LOL?

Another good example of inciting argument:
my post

elin's post which does not apply to my comments

There you go again, using a part of what I said and out of context, at that…again.
Furthermore, how does your lengthy post apply to what I wrote? Of course God never breaks covenant but I was talking about our responsibility to His covenant!

[SUP] I'm helping others who read this to" [/SUP]mark them which cause divisions and offences contrary to the doctrine which ye have learned; and avoid them. For they that are such serve not our Lord Jesus Christ, but their own belly; and by good words and fair speeches deceive the hearts of the simple." Romans 16:17-18

Another good example of inciting argument:

just-us-2 said:
Think about how far the obligations of being a party to Covenant reach, even in secular history, let alone what God requires –
we are bound by the nature of Covenant to
bless one another because we are not in Covenant
with God alone.
The other parties are all other Christians everywhere.
The New Covenant is unilateral, initiated and fulfilled by God alone, as was the land covenant.
Unilateral covenants are unconditional, and do not depend on the performance of the participants, only on the performance of God,
as in the
unconditional unilateral land covenant (Ge 15:9-21).
They are in the nature of an
unconditional promise from God.

The Old (Mosaic) Covenant was bilateral, initiated by God, and fulfilled by both God and the participants.
To remain in force, both the initiator and the participants have to fulfill
their corresponding terms of the covenant.
Because the covenant depends, is conditioned on the fulfillment of both parties,
if either side to the covenant fails to fulfill his terms, the covenant is broken and nullified.

The
unconditional unilateral New Covenant is:

I will put my law in their minds and (I will) write it on their hearts.
(God will cause them to obey willingly, there will be no failure to comply.)
I will be their God, and they will be my people.
I will forgive their wickedness and (I) will remember their sins no more
.

The unconditional unilateral New Covenant is fulfilled by God alone.
Those in an
unconditional unilateral covenant with God cannot break it,
as the people could not break the
unconditional unilateral land covenant (Ge 15:9-21).
Unconditional unilateral covenants are not conditioned on anything from the other party.

An
unconditional unilateral covenant remains in force, as did
the
unconditional unilateral land covenant, until God breaks it, or cancels it.

So theunconditional unilateralnew covenant does not bind us to anything,
it binds only God to performance,

just as the
unconditional unilateral land covenant did not bind them to anything,
because an unconditional unilateral covenant is in the form of an unconditional promise from God.

God alone places one in the unconditional unilateral new covenant, and
God alone keeps one in that covenant,
by making them willing to obey,
as God alone placed the people in the
unconditional unilateral land covenant (Ge 15:9-21).

And God never breaks his
unconditional unilateral covenant with anyone.
There you go again, using a part of what I said and out of context, at that…again. Furthermore,
how does your lengthy post apply to what I wrote? Of course God never breaks covenant but
I was talking about our responsibility to His covenant!
The context exactly. . .read it again.

The way I read it is that we are in covenant with our fellow brothers and sisters together in this new covenant with Christ. It was pretty clear to me. It involves loving our neighbor as ourselves. So what I see in the response is a mental glitch of misunderstanding that we are one body in Christ. And then I think to myself, what was the purpose of the numerous unilateral comments you made? It is confirmed that there was little comprehension of what was being said in the first place. If the shoe fits wear it Elin. You have been marked.

I also believe unity is very important. There is far too much arguing. It would be so much simpler, and we wouldn't have all these problems, if everybody just agreed with me.
I know you're just kidding around but that's the most truthful post on here. Deep down it's how everyone really feels.

Yes, we are in the covenant with all the born again,

but we are in covenant (in promisory relationship) with God only.

The law of Christ (Mt 7:37-39) is not the basis of the New Covenant,
nor is it the terms on which it is set up.

The terms of the new covenant are those stated in Jer 31:31-34:
God will put in their minds and write on their hearts his law of his new covenant,
and will forgive their sins, remembering them no more.

Obedience to God's new covenant law of Christ is what God promises and fulfills in the New Covenant
by putting that law in their minds and writing it on their hearts, causing them to understand and
willingly obey it.

The new covenant promises and gives a transformed mind and heart, which are the new creation.

On a highway, just outside a city, two clergymen of different denominational persuasions were returning from their monthly ecumenical meeting of pastors. During the course of their ride, they engaged in a doctrinal discussion which quickly turned into a heated argument. The car they were driving began to swerve from left to right as it continued to pick up speed. Neither of the two passengers were aware of the careless manner in which the car was being handled nor were they aware that behind them another car was following. In this car sat a lone driver surrounded by an assortment of empty beer bottles. His car was also swaying as he watched the action in the car up ahead. As the two pastors continued arguing, their arms raising up and down, their fingers pointing at one another, they failed to negotiate a sharp turn. Spinning out of control, they hit the shoulder of the road and rolled down a steep embankment coming to rest upside down on the roof. The drunk following saw the whole thing and being concerned about the occupants of the overturned vehichle, brought his car to a sloppy stop. He was angled into the breakdown lane, his front wheels coming to rest on the grass at the top of the embankment. Carefully, he opened his car door, using it to support his weight and holding onto the car to keep from falling, he made his way to the left front fender, far enough to see down to the car below. As he was looking, he saw the two clergymen crawling out of the car windows to safety. Though drunk, he, in a slurred speech, cried out, “Hey, guys! Are you alright?” There was a moment of silence as the pastors caught their breath and then one of them replied, “We’re OK, we’ve got Jesus.” The drunk responded with concern in his voice, “Well, you better let him ride with me, you guys are gonna kill ‘im.” Of course, this is a joke, but what’s happening today is not a joke. There are too many arguments between Christians, too many scenes like this are being played out before the unsaved and we’re killing the Lord right before those whom he came to save. We’re killing any desire that the unsaved may have to be part of the family of God.

Really...and you think he wasn't. Did you read his post or are you selective? Need a reality check! Not everyone likes taking crap from people on the chin. Especially me!

Didn't ask to reply my post in support of thread to only be hacked at by some 60 something year old. BIGOT!!!

It was the exact reason why the Thread created. For every action there is going to be a reaction. Deal with it.

Take a look in the mirror...nice Meme...HYPOCRITE!!!

I'm attempting to expose how arguments begin, so we all know who to watch for and avoid them as scripture tells us to do. Read all of my recent posts and follow them through and you ill clearly see what is and has been happening on CC for years.

There are probably several hundreds of threads to choose from and we should just put in our 2 cents and move on if an argument gets heated.

Agreed. It is good to identify those for the sake of the church so all can avoid them.
Romans 16:17 Now I beseech you, brethren, mark them which cause divisions and offences contrary to the doctrine which ye have learned ; and avoid them.
