Well, I just heard about it and did not really read up on it yet. But it wouldn't surprise if this were to happen sometime soon.

Disney has blocked the word "God" from it's website (with people posting comments) and the company blocks the word "God" in their movies, etc.

There are even more attempts to purge "God" and "Christ" from our society.

No wonder, Walt blocked their being a Church building on Main St. in Disneyland back in the '50's.

I worry when people think Christianity had it's hay day in the 50's -
Definitely didn't. That generation growing up as toddlers in the '50's grew up disenchanted with materialism and meaninglessness of life in the '60's...better known as the hippies and yippies. I will say though, 'morality' was on a cleaner plateau in the '50's.

I normally don't get into talking about the news much. I prefer discussing the Word of God. But when I happened to be reading, and seen all the darkness, I was overcome by God's Spirit to feel great sorrow. Sorrow in love for those who are in darkness. I was overcome to pray. That is very rare for me. So it is not a bad thing. It is in what you do with the situation. Times are getting darker my friend. We cannot hide from it. The Pre-Trib Rapture may come, but I that doesn't mean the church may not be persecuted here in America before that point. For Christians are being persecuted elsewhere in the world. We should think about them, too.
Yes. I agree and I know this.
My father and brother are really, really into current events. I mean deep, deep world news. Literally, hundreds of Alt-News, forums, the works between them. My dad is retired and spends 10 hrs a day surfing everything about anything on what the world is up to and how it all applies to end times. I was into it all up until about 6 months ago, when I realized it did me no good to constantly dwell in it. Now I ask them, and they give me the hot points. (So I guess, there is ONE benefit to what they do :) )
I am very aware of how dark the world has gotten, and all of the horrible stuff happening here and across the pond.
I feel for them. I pray. I do what I can.
But..... I don't feel guilty for taking a day off here and there to enjoy the goods things God has to offer in life too. You shouldn't either.
I keep my eyes open- I just can't bury myself in all negative stuff, because I've come to see--that it can take away from God-especially if one spends 10 hours on news and 20 mins on Him a day.
You can show everyone that you do enjoy life like you tell me in PM man. Nothing wrong with that brother.

I think it is about finding the right balance. I was never a news guy. In fact, it was only recently these past few months that I did turn into checking out Christian focused news and I still do not check it every day as if my life revolved around that. My focus is Jesus Christ and how to conform more to His image according to His Word. I am merely sharing my story not to get anyone upset or in despair but to tune in to how God feels so that we can pray for those who are in darkness. To pray specifically for people in darkness and not just asking amiss. My story (testimony) was as I was reading one dark thing after another and being grieved deeply, I was then overcome by God's Spirit to pray for those who are in darkness around me.

It was my encouragement for people here to love others by praying for them.

If Disney owned that land, they have a right to do whatever they want with their land. The church should know it's risks of where it builds it's meeting place. Besides, if God wanted that church building to stand, then there is nothing anyone could do about stopping that from happening.

But Disney was not so overtly Anti Christian as it is today. Granted their films always had an element of paganism within them, but they also had once had some very loose Christian symbolism within them.

Side Note: The author of the article appears to be in agreement that Mary worship is Christian. But is not. That is Catholicism.

Actually, violent crime in the US is on a multi-decade decline:

FBI — Table 1
That's because violent crimes have now been legalized in the form of killing the unborn. But need I mention other things that are morally sick and depraved that are happening all around us? How do you not see it?

Maybe so? We are just 1/24th of the world's population fellas. A whole lot going on outside of our house.
We also have to factor in all the deaths that happen daily from babies being killed in abortions legally (Which was not legal at one point) and then we have to factor in all the murders and violent abuse that does not get reported, too; And then add in all the darkness (not just violence) morally all over the world (As you suggested), then that might give one a different picture of how things are declining on a moral level.

[h=2]55,772,015 Abortions in America Since Roe v. Wade in 1973[/h]by Steven Ertelt | Washington, DC | LifeNews.com | 1/18/13 1:13 PM

The United States marks 40 years of legalized abortion in all fifty states at any time for any reason throughout pregnancy on January 22nd, the anniversary of the Roe v. Wade Supreme Court decision. Since that time, there have been approximately 55,772,015 abortions that have destroyed the lives of unborn children.
An estimate published by the National Right to Life Committee this time in 2011 indicated there have been an estimated 54,559,615 abortions since the Supreme Court handed down its 1973 Roe vs. Wade decision allowing virtually unlimited abortions.
In the document, “Abortion Statistics: United States Data and Trends,” NRLC education director Dr. Randall K. O’Bannon estimates that there have been 54,559,615 abortions since 1973 based on data from both the Centers for Disease Control and the pro-abortion Guttmacher Institute, a former Planned Parenthood research arm. Guttmacher receives numbers directly from abortion centers themselves and is the prime source for more current figures because the Centers for Disease Control has never tabulated accurate numbers of abortions. The CDC relies on figures from state health departments, some of which rely on voluntary reporting — and it hasn’t had data from some states such as California and New Hampshire for more than a decade.

The OP was about the US, so that's what my comments were about. It would be interesting to see what crime statistics are like in other parts of the world though. My hunch is that the more industrialized, developed, and technologically advanced a society becomes, the more crime declines. Basically, with economic improvement comes an increase in living standards and decrease in crime.

25“Also, there will be signs in the sun and moon and stars, and on the earth anguish of nations not knowing the way out because of the roaring of the sea and its agitation. 26People will become faint out of fear and expectation of the things coming upon the inhabited earth, for the powers of the heavens will be shaken. 27And then they will see the Son of man coming in a cloud with power and great glory. 28But as these things start to occur, stand up straight and lift up your heads, because your deliverance is getting near.”(Luke 21:25-28)

Things Are Getting Darker.

Yesterday, I was reading ChristianHeadlines and I noticed how things are just getting more sick and dark.

Christian News Headlines

I usually read thru the news here (not because the author writes as if they are Christain and or from a Biblical perspective), but because it covers a lot of events that are going on that are Bible related. Yesterday, I was overcome with a vexation within my spirit as I read one dark thing after another. I was overcome in the Spirit to just pray. To pray for the people who are living amongst us. So it is my encouragment to any or all true believers here to pray for people and the darkness that they are in. Pray for them. Things are getting darker and we need to shine the Light all the more, my friends.
Amen for prayer.

I am more greatful everyday, for the loving salvation we have recieived in Jesus, and the most profound and simplest fo scriptures...
In the end there are three things that last, faith, hope and love, the greatest of these being love!

God bless

You are missing the point. The very fact tbat abortion is legalized is immoral and wrong. Men are not entirely truthful and states like California and New Hampshire have not disclosed their records; And like I said before, you are not looking at other immoral acts that are starting to surface in such ways that tbey didn't before. Not that I want to go into discussion about it, but being sued because you refuse to make a cake that goes against your religious beliefs is wrong. In other words, it's about the legalization of evil. Do you not see it?

While it is good that you are grateful and enjoy your salvation, what good does it do us if we do not pray or tell others about the lost? That is why we are to be in the world but not of the world. For the greatest as you pointed out is love. Not love of one's self in their salvation alone but in sharing that love with other people. That is what it is all about when we look at the world and or go out into it and we minister to those who are in darkness (Thru prayer and or in thru loving them and telling them the good news).

This is what I was saying in my original post. Your reply suggests you disagree with that.

In other words, I am getting the impression that folks do not want to see what is going on around them. That we should just rejoice in our salvation, go to church, praise God, go back home and read the Bible, work at our jobs, then do it all over again. But what about those people who are in darkness and need our help? That is what I am getting at within this post. Things are getting darker in this world. I do not need to prove that to you. The Bible already essentially says things are going to get darker in the last days. But this is our chance, not to run from the darkness and hide, but to shine forth the Light of Christ from within us as things get darker, thereby glorifying Jesus Christ. So yes. Focus on that whichi is good. Be not discouraged. But also help those who are in darkness.

All of this is happening is to unveil what is in us all; God is showing us what is all that winking is about.

Psalm 35:19
Do not let those gloat over me who are my enemies without cause; do not let those who hate me without reason maliciously wink the eye.

Proverbs 6:13
who winks maliciously with his eye, signals with his feet and motions with his fingers,

Proverbs 16:30
Whoever winks with their eye is plotting perversity; whoever purses their lips is bent on evil.

My comment

There are those who claim a Christian standing that have been taght that the world is getting better and better

This is the folly of religious organizations who espouse Kingdom now "dominion theology"

.... that the Lord is ruling over His millennial kingdom now and that their particular persuasion is that "kingdom" on the earth

This comes from faulty pretertistic/amil teaching

Things are not getting better and better on the earth, but jut the opposite .... the refusal to acknowledge this is telling

.... and the Lord is not ruling now ..... if He is there is a big problem for those that follow Him

But Satan is the "god" of this present world and those that think they bring in the Lord's millennial kingdom upon the earth without Him have fallen for a ruse

I found out Saturday we had a demonstration downtown in the city where I live in Michigan. Oh no. I don't see the reason for what they are all doing but it is scary because I have two children that go downtown on the bus to the community college.

People are so angry about things anymore and don't care who they hurt either. I've been praying for our city and my family members.
