isn't it like this?

If someone asks, 'What are these wounds on your body?'
they will answer, 'The wounds I was given at the house of my friends.'

(Zechariah 13:6)
For sure. Amen to that.

If you have to ask that you really don't know what I stand for....exactly how do you think we can grieve the Holy Spirit that DWELLS IN US?

Doesn't change the fact the we all sin occasionally...so are you sinless?
God gives us power to say no to sin...God hates sin...if God's Holy Spirit is in you and you continue in sin...do you think God's spirit is happy dwelling in the same body with sin?.....you seem comfortable in your occasional sin...that is what makes the HS grieve...

See, your problem is four fold with your above view concerning my own sin.....

1. I am not comfortable with my own sin
2. God convicts me of my sin
3. I seek forgiveness of my sin
4. Everyone sins!

1 Timothy 3:11
Even so must their wives be grave, not slanderers, sober, faithful in all things.
If you are going to post a remark why not post concerning the context of my statement...and the qualifications of a pastor's or deacon's wife is not what is being considered........! Faithful in all things concerning the qualifications she is to have in her life which does not mean that SHE DOESNT SIN!

everyone sins.... is not an excuse to sin...the scripture says ...sin not...that is the challenge to the believer...a position to try to attain...a high calling...
1 John 2:6
He that saith he abideth in him ought himself also so to walk, even as he walked.

she is only the wife of the pastor or deacon....we are the bride of Christ...which one requires the higher qualification?
bro if you wish to go around committing your occasional sin and think it is cool because everyone sin...that is your choice...God give me power to say no to sin and this is what my life in Christ is about....God hates sin I hate it too

God requires faithfulness...

Matthew 25:21

His lord said unto him, Well done, thou good and faithful servant: thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy lord.

Revelation 2:10

Fear none of those things which thou shalt suffer: behold, the devil shall cast some of you into prison, that ye may be tried; and ye shall have tribulation ten days: be thou faithful unto death, and I will give thee a crown of life.

No where did I say it is an excuse to sin......you should seriously take a class in English and how to understand words!

someone broke the rule by not posting somethign everything could agree on, they broke the spirit of the thread.

Of course, one of the lawyers, I should have known. They need to puff themselves up even if a thread meant to edify other believers. so sad!

DUDE I am done responding to you....you twist what I say, ignore what I say and assume things that I do not promote especially about sin.....You can argue all you want about the fact that you don't sin and the scriptures prove you wrong as there IS NOT A JUST MAN UPON THE EARTH THAT DOES GOOD AND SINS NOT!

Amen and every part is needed and required although not all parts are honorable or as honorable!

This is a quote by J. I . Packer

"Sin is an allergic reaction to God's law, an irrational anti-God syndrome that drives us to exalt ourselves and steels our heart against devotion and obedience to our maker."

I have a reason why I posted the J. I. Packer quote also. I have a serious allergic reaction to some things and trying to keep my mouth shut. :)
