1 Peter 4:16
Yet if any man suffer as a Christian, let him not be ashamed; but let him glorify God on this behalf.

Matthew 19:21
Jesus said to him, “If you wish to be complete, go and sell your possessions and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven; and come, follow Me.” :)

Matthew 19:21
Jesus said to him, “If you wish to be complete, go and sell your possessions and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven; and come, follow Me.” :)

People always bring this one up when debating:p
[SUP]29 [/SUP]Jesus said, “Truly I say to you, there is no one who has left house or brothers or sisters or mother or father or children or farms, for My sake and for the gospel’s sake, [SUP]30 [/SUP]but that he will receive a hundred times as much now in the present age, houses and brothers and sisters and mothers and children and farms, along with persecutions; and in the age to come, eternal life. [SUP]31 [/SUP]But many who are first will be last, and the last, first.”

1 Corinthians 12:22-27 New American Standard Bible (NASB)[SUP]22 [/SUP]On the contrary, it is much truer that the members of the body which seem to be weaker are necessary; [SUP]23 [/SUP]and those members of the body which we deem less honorable, on these we bestow more abundant honor, and our less presentable members become much more presentable, [SUP]24 [/SUP]whereas our more presentable members have no need of it. But God has so composed the body, giving more abundant honor to that member which lacked, [SUP]25 [/SUP]so that there may be no division in the body, but that the members may have the same care for one another. [SUP]26 [/SUP]And if one member suffers, all the members suffer with it; if one member is honored, all the members rejoice with it.
[SUP]27 [/SUP]Now you are Christ’s body, and individually members of it.

I don't know, about "book" popularity, but I am not aware of these verses (or the ones immediately preceding them) coming up too often.

Obadiah 1 New American Standard Bible (NASB)[h=3]Edom Will Be Humbled[/h][SUP]1 [/SUP]The vision of Obadiah.
Thus says the Lord God concerning Edom—
We have heard a report from the Lord,
And an envoy has been sent among the nations saying,
“Arise and let us go against her for battle”—
[SUP]2 [/SUP]“Behold, I will make you small among the nations;
You are greatly despised.
[SUP]3 [/SUP]“The arrogance of your heart has deceived you,
You who live in the clefts of the rock,
In the loftiness of your dwelling place,
Who say in your heart,
‘Who will bring me down to earth?’
[SUP]4 [/SUP]“Though you build high like the eagle,
Though you set your nest among the stars,
From there I will bring you down,” declares the Lord.
[SUP]5 [/SUP]“If thieves came to you,
If robbers by night—
O how you will be ruined!—
Would they not steal only until they had enough?
If grape gatherers came to you,
Would they not leave some gleanings?
[SUP]6 [/SUP]“O how Esau will be ransacked,
And his hidden treasures searched out!
[SUP]7 [/SUP]“All the men allied with you
Will send you forth to the border,
And the men at peace with you
Will deceive you and overpower you.
They who eat your bread
Will set an ambush for you.
(There is no understanding in him.)
[SUP]8 [/SUP]“Will I not on that day,” declares the Lord,
“Destroy wise men from Edom
And understanding from the mountain of Esau?
[SUP]9 [/SUP]“Then your mighty men will be dismayed, O Teman,
So that everyone may be cut off from the mountain of Esau by slaughter.

[SUP]10 [/SUP]“Because of violence to your brother Jacob,
You will be covered with shame,
And you will be cut off forever.
[SUP]11 [/SUP]“On the day that you stood aloof,
On the day that strangers carried off his wealth,
And foreigners entered his gate
And cast lots for Jerusalem—
You too were as one of them.
[SUP]12 [/SUP]“Do not gloat over your brother’s day,
The day of his misfortune.
And do not rejoice over the sons of Judah
In the day of their destruction;
Yes, do not boast
In the day of their distress.
[SUP]13 [/SUP]“Do not enter the gate of My people
In the day of their disaster.
Yes, you, do not gloat over their calamity
In the day of their disaster.
And do not loot their wealth
In the day of their disaster.
[SUP]14 [/SUP]“Do not stand at the fork of the road
To cut down their fugitives;
And do not imprison their survivors
In the day of their distress.

[h=3]The Day of the Lord and the Future[/h][SUP]15 [/SUP]“For the day of the Lord draws near on all the nations.
As you have done, it will be done to you.
Your dealings will return on your own head.
[SUP]16 [/SUP]“Because just as you drank on My holy mountain,
All the nations will drink continually.
They will drink and swallow
And become as if they had never existed.
[SUP]17 [/SUP]“But on Mount Zion there will be those who escape,
And it will be holy.
And the house of Jacob will possess their possessions.
[SUP]18 [/SUP]“Then the house of Jacob will be a fire
And the house of Joseph a flame;
But the house of Esau will be as stubble.
And they will set them on fire and consume them,
So that there will be no survivor of the house of Esau,”
For the Lord has spoken.
[SUP]19 [/SUP]Then those of the Negev will possess the mountain of Esau,
And those of the Shephelah the Philistine plain;
Also, possess the territory of Ephraim and the territory of Samaria,
And Benjamin will possess Gilead.
[SUP]20 [/SUP]And the exiles of this host of the sons of Israel,
Who are among the Canaanites as far as Zarephath,
And the exiles of Jerusalem who are in Sepharad
Will possess the cities of the Negev.
[SUP]21 [/SUP]The deliverers will ascend Mount Zion
To judge the mountain of Esau,
And the kingdom will be the Lord’s.

Malakyah 4:1-4,"For, behold, the day comes that will burn like an oven; and all the proud, yes, and all who do wickedly, will be stubble--the day that comes will burn them up, says Yahweh of hosts; and it will leave them neither root nor branch. But for you who reverence My Name, the light of righteousness will arise with healing in its wings; and you will go out, leaping like calves released from the stall. And you will tread down the wicked; for they will be ashes under the soles of your feet in the day that I will do this, says Yahweh of hosts. Remember the Law of Mosheh My servant, which I commanded through him in Horeb for all Israyl, with the statutes and judgments."

well, here's one you don't see everyday...

Song of Solomon 8:7
Many waters cannot quench love,
Nor will rivers overflow it;
If a man were to give all the riches of his house for love,
It would be utterly despised.

Micah 6:8

No! The Lord has told you what is good and acceptable in His sight. What is it that the Lord requires of you? It is to be just, to show mercy and to walk humbly with your God.

Zephaniah 2:3

Seek the Lord, all you meek of the land, who do what He says is just. Seek righteousness. Seek humility of heart. Perhaps you will be hidden from the Lord's displeasure.

Haggai 2:21

Go and tell Zerubbabel, the governor of Judah, that I will shake heaven and earth to help my people.

Jude verses 3 & 4

Dear believers, although I'm writing to clarify some things about the salvation we share, I also urge you to continue defending the faith entrusted to us against those who are challenging it. Certain men of dubious reputation who have caused trouble in the past have slipped in among you. You need to be aware of them because they change the grace of God into permissiveness for all kinds of immorality, thus nullifying God's plan to save us from sin and denying that Jesus Christ is our only Master and Lord.

Ecc 12:13 Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man.
Ecc 12:14 For God shall bring every work into judgment, with every secret thing, whether it be good, or whether it be evil.

[Lamentations 3:22-24]
It's because of the Lord’s loving kindness that we're not destroyed, for His compassion never ends. His mercy is brand new every morning. Great is His faithfulness! "The Lord is my share," says my soul. "All my hope is in Him!"

You know that game of trust you played as a child, where you'd stand on a chair and your daddy would tell you to fall backwards into his arms? Well, in that way I visualize putting my trust in God's Sovereignty. I can't tell you how many times a day I stop whatever it is I'm doing, close my eyes and in my mind sink back into the hands of God and say, "You're in control of everything. I have no choice but to trust You." It eliminates all anxieties when I remember that nothing is out of God's hands, that everything is under His command, that ALL my hope is safe in Him.

I quote Titus 3:5-6 a lot....Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Spirit; which he shed on us abundantly through Jesus Christ our Savior

A lot of people quote it and a lot of people reject what it actually states......!
Yes sir, the most famous of them all.
There's a good chance that's the one verse that a majority of the people on this planet actually know by heart...even if they like it or not?
Hmm,..... awesome how God works huh?

Whoever claims to love God yet hates a brother or sister is a liar. For whoever does not love their brother and sister, whom they have seen, cannot love God, whom they have not seen.
1 John 4:20

This Scripture changed my life. I was filled with hatred towards some members of society, and when I read the above Scripture I was devastated at the realization of how dirty my heart had become. I asked God to change my heart, and after an entire year of prayer, reading and contemplation, God indeed changed my heart. That said, I'm still a work in progress with other aspects of life and society.

I am just so glad that GOD so loved the COSMOS HAHHAHHAHHA !and Then GAVE his only SON and qualified it by saying...THAT WHOSEVER BELIEVES IN HIM IS HAVING EVERLASTING (ETERNAL) LIFE

Verb TENSE

Have eternal life when I believed
Have eternal life right now
Continuing to have eternal life into the future

Joel 2:25
And I will restore to you the years that the locust hath eaten, the cankerworm, and the caterpiller, and the palmerworm, my great army which I sent among you.
