You are wrong. If you don't know American history then why don't you look that up? If you do, I would recommend you use a reliable source, because anyone can put anything on the internet, including ignorant people like you.

Requirements for President of the United States

Qualifications for presidential candidates have remained the same since the year Washington accepted the presidency. As directed by the Constitution, a presidential candidate must be a natural born citizen of the United States, a resident for 14 years, and 35 years of age or older. These requirements do not prohibit a woman from being president, yet this has yet to occur. What "unwritten" perceptions of presidential candidates have prevented this? Do you think these perceptions will change? What might cause such a change? When might it occur?

If you're right, you ought to be able to prove it to me with your own link. How about you do that instead? But, knowing you won't even try, I'll give you this:

Heritage Foundation: Presidential eligibility

"No Person except a natural born Citizen, or a Citizen of the United States, at the time of the Adoption of this Constitution, shall be eligible to the Office of President; neither shall any Person be eligible to that Office who shall not have attained to the Age of thirty five Years, and been fourteen Years a Resident within the United States."
- Article II, Section 1, Clause 5

... Under the longstanding English common-law principle of jus soli, persons born within the territory of the sovereign (other than children of enemy aliens or foreign diplomats) are citizens from birth. Thus, those persons born within the United States are "natural born citizens" and eligible to be President. Much less certain, however, is whether children born abroad of United States citizens are "natural born citizens" eligible to serve as President. As early as 1350, the British Parliament approved statutes recognizing the rule of jus sanguinis, under which citizens may pass their citizenship by descent to their children at birth, regardless of place. Similarly, in its first naturalization statute, Congress declared that "the children of citizens of the United States, that may be born beyond the sea, or out of the limits of the United States, shall be considered as natural born citizens." 1 Stat. 104 (1790). The "natural born" terminology was dropped shortly thereafter. See, e.g., 8 U.S.C. § 1401(c)
Now, you can go on fussing, fuming, fiddling, and fulminating all you want. You will still be dead wrong.

Lambiebear, you are right and you are wrong. Constitutionally someone needs to be a "natural born citizen" of the United States to be President however someone does not have to be born on American soil to be considered "natural born." Although the Constitution does not define "natural born" immigration laws do.

According to the standards set forth in the Immigration and Nationality Act of 1952, he does qualify as natural born. The qualifications set forth in that law (that apply in his case) and all of those conditions are met in his case.

  1. The person’s parents were married at the time of birth
  2. One of the person’s parents was a U.S. citizen when the person was born
  3. The citizen parent lived at least ten years in the United States before the child’s birth;
  4. A minimum of 5 of these 10 years in the United States were after the citizen parent’s 14th birthday.

It doesn't matter if Ted Cruz runs or not, he will not win. I could never abide to have Cruz as my presidential servant, but he does amuse me enough to want to see him act a character in the primary. I do wonder if he runs; what sort of amusing literature quotes we can expect from him? Seeing as he has all ready covered Cicero and Dr. Seuss perhaps he will find some middle ground and go with one of Aesop's Fables.

My grandson was born in England, and he has American citizenship, because his mom registered him to be a US citizen, passport and all.

I wonder if he would want to grow up to be president?

And speaking of dictators, come to Canada if you want to see how it works. We've had Stephen Harper for over 6 years, and he literally dictates everything. Elected officials have left the PC party over it. (That's Progressive Conservatives, not politically correct! LOL)

Cruz is the candidate feared by the left and supporters of who I consider a flawed dangerous, almost whacko Rand Paul.

I initially wanted, and may still support Ben Carson, but I'm not sure he"s ready for prime time. Cruz is right on virtually every issue and would be an incredible defender of the Constitution. Since I believe the U.S. will have to continue it's decay as we get closer to Christ's return, I think we will get the evil Hitlery Rotten Clinic.

As for Cruz not being able to run, that's going to end up being a silly argument no one but the left and paulites will moan about.

Yeah committed suicide with an ungloved hand and with a pistol, but no prints on the gun.....I had just thought of his name when re-reading my post while trying to remember the name of the corrupt prosecutor.......!

And no GSR on his hands....!
That is some creepy stuff. Also found this documentary online which covers that and several other "suicides" during the clinton administration:

Is Ted Cruz, born in Canada, eligible to run for president? | PolitiFact
Well, Rand Paul has some great ideas and a few strange ideas. I still would be happy with Cruz/Paul or Paul/Cruz ticket.
Carson would make a great surgeon general, I don't know if he'd be the best president though. Since we're picking who to go where here, why not make Judge Roy Moore head of The Supreme Court? :D

FYI: Ted Cruz, if he should run, is as far as I know - legal. He has already made a formal renouncement to Canada. McCain did similar in 2008 as he was born in Panama.

When he was a child, his mother had told Cruz that she would have had to make an affirmative act to claim Canadian citizenship for him, so his family assumed that he did not hold Canadian citizenship.[SUP][167][/SUP] In August 2013, after the Dallas Morning News pointed out that Cruz had dual Canadian-American citizenship,[SUP][154][/SUP] he applied to formally renounce his Canadian citizenship, and ceased to be a citizen of Canada on May 14, 2014.[SUP][167][/SUP][SUP][168][/SUP]

and he wants to give more rights to minorities.
Uh, they got the same rights as me and anyone else. I am sick and tired of special treatment for "minorities" they don't need special treatment, they don't need pampered. they have the same right as anyone else legally in this nation. actually they have more rights then any white male.

I'll buy dinner for everyone on this site if hillary becomes President.

Guess how much this statement is going to cost me? Nothing, because she's not going to win.

From your keyboard to God's ears! But I remember saying that there was no way the majority of Americans would vote (TWICE)! for a person that truly hates America as founded by our Constitution, and has vowed to "transform" our great nation into a hateful, divisive socialistic nightmare.

She is a liar and a snake and was tied to insider trading in Arkansas when her husband Bill was tied to Cocaine trafficking, the murder of witnesses and numerous lies that he told the people of Arkansas before being elected to his last term as governor and then President.....Mena, Arkansas<-----and even though many will argue this....many witnesses who were tied to this ended up dead and or imprisoned while being silenced dia a corrupt prosecutor who refused to testify and ended up in jail........A lawyer who had proof and was on his way to testify with proof was run off the road and executed and all evidence disappeared.......Anyone who votes for her needs their head examined!
There is no "Proof" of any wrong doing by Hillary! Please stop screaming along party lines. Open your eyes and see the truth! No proof, nothing wrong. She has been investigated and nothing was found illegal, let it rest. No matter how long the Rep's keep this up it will not change, they are only hurting their own cause by looking like idiots on a witch hunt!

[ . . . ] I am a Rand Paul supporter [ . . . ]
That explains a lot.

Rand Paul hasn't a chance at the nomination. He's "Hillary-lite" pretending to be a conservative.
