Revelation 16:12
Then the sixth angel poured out his bowl on the great river Euphrates, and its water was dried up, so that the way of the kings from the east might be prepared.

Well it seems there has been news articles from 2009 all the way up to last year so far speaking of how the Euphrates river is drying up. This just might be another prophecy starting to happen right before our eyes within the world and news reports. We can see from Revelation 16 the final complete drying up of the river will happen at Gods wrath in the sixth bowl judgment, but this could be part of the leading up to fulfill that prophecy meaning the other prophecies are about to kick off. We are not to seek or ask for signs, but the Lord did tell us things to look for to know His coming was just around the corner. Here are some links;

When I look at it right now at this year... It looks like a normal river...

However it is EXTREMELY hard to find a picture of the water level of the current year. You have to rely on Google satellites...

But things with Isis trying to control the 16 or so Dams there could make things interesting.

Oh, for cryin' out loud!

Turkey is trying to starve ISIS of water. In the Tribulation, it will be God drying up the river.

Unless the OP's suggest is that Turkey is God, this is nonsense. And also "non-news."

This has been going on even before ISIS was an issue, and no Turkey is not God but you can not leave out the fact that God works through others to carry out His plans. Remember in Revelation God gives the man of sin the authority to destroy Babylon.

[h=1]Revelation 17:16-17
And the ten horns which you saw on[a] the beast, these will hate the harlot, make her desolate and naked, eat her flesh and burn her with fire. 17 For God has put it into their hearts to fulfill His purpose, to be of one mind, and to give their kingdom to the beast, until the words of God are fulfilled.[/h]
The 2009 report from the NY times I gave a link to show that Turkey and Syria cutting off the water flow has nothing to do with ISIS. They did it because of the misuse of the water by the Iraqi farmers and not because of ISIS. This is news as the Euphrates river has a major impact when it comes to end times events. Revelation mentions the Euphrates river twice in Revelation 9 and Revelation 16. Revelation 9 speaks of a war that starts at the Euphrates river where 2.3 billion people will be killed, and Revelation 16 speaks of it drying up so that the kings of the east can cross easily to come to war at the battle of Armageddon.

Well, true, Ken, but remember also, the curse of the Euphrates River drying up is in the latter half of the Tribulation, which hasn't started yet.

Yes I know that and pointed that out in my OP, but the point to be made is that all the events leading into the tribulation period are taking place before our very eyes. The Euphrates drying up because of the water being cut off by Turkey leads to many other issues like pestilence, famine, and other health issues without clean water easily available.
Some believe that Turkey is where the man of sin will rise out of, and I still am not to sure on this but it would make since as Turkey is a majority Muslim country and also has ties as it was part of the original Roman empire.
The final beast lead by the man of sin will be contain a combination of the Muslim and Roman empire nations as shown within the prophecies of Daniel 2, Daniel 7, and Revelation 13. Then you have Daniel 9:26 that says the people of the prince to come, as the prince to come refers to the man of sin. These people will destroy the temple, as the Romans did in 70 AD, so the man of sin will rise from within the Roman empire. Turkey fits with its ties to both.

IT COULD!

However people forget ol Saddam did lots of damage to the ecosystem of Iraq with irrigation projects. draining marshes and such.

Just cause a river level runs down a bit, or a earthquake happens don't mean its the end of the world yet.

people forget that no man know the hour, it will happen when it happens.

Please read what is being said before making comments as my OP is not calling for the end of world, nor did I say this fulfills the Euphrates river prophecy. I just started the thread of another on going thing that is working toward and ushering in the final span of the last days.
Turkey is deliberately cutting off the water supply, and it is not down just a bit as it is lower significantly then what it was 6 years ago. They have been doing this since 2009 that I know of do to misuse of the water by Iraq farmers.

And no man knows the time and day that the Lord will return, but the Lord did give signs that He said when we see them we will know His return is near. Nobody is trying to make a prediction and put a date on His return here.
But there is nothing wrong with looking at world events and seeing if they fit or not into fulfilling bible prophecies, as some are getting ready to happen before our eyes as things are lining up.

Well all one has to do is look at Revelation and where the 200 million man army comes from.
It says they come from the Euphrates river, and a study was done that came out that 3 factions can fend such an army. The first is the Muslim nations who surround, and ISIS who controls the Euphrates river area right now. The second is China who is to the east of this area, and the third is Ethiopia which is down south. Since it starts at the Euphrates river I would go with the Muslims first.

The Muslims are too disorganized to create such an army. China already has such an army (200 million).

Yet China is not at the Euphrates river, and the Muslim nations are slowly starting to band together minus the extremists that called ISIS. All it would take is one major event against Muslims by a western or other power to make them rise together, for many have already started to come together against ISIS.

Pre-WW 2 Germany was also in a mess, yet it didn't take Hitler very long to bring it together. There is no reason to believe that Muslims could not or would not unite against a common foe. They are expecting their great Mahdi to do just that.

I agree with the OP. It's significant, and worthy of taking note of.

I love how so many are so dismissive of end time prophecy, and the signs of the end. No, taking this one event doesn't mean the end is near. One piece of a jigsaw puzzle is not the whole picture either. Taking all of the events that are happening and holding them up against prophecy, one sees a much bigger picture emerge of a time like no other. Also, prophecy often states that God is going to commit an act, and he sends a person to do it. (Alexander the Great and Tyre comes to mind, so does Damascus.) In this case he says he will pour out a bowl. It doesn't say what form it takes.

I think it's fear that causes dismissive attitude. "If I just ignore it and ridicule it, it will go away. Wait, are those my fingers in my ears? How did those get there?"

Interestingly enough, a huge number of the major waterways of the world are drying up, either due to man's behavior, or for unknown reasons. The Ogalalla aquifer is drying up rapidly, as are Lake Mead and several other large reservoirs in the SW. The Colorado River no longer actually has a delta. It is just a dry little trickle. This year, the Cascade mountains in Eastern Oregon, as well as the Sierra Nevadas in Cali/Nevada got VERY little snow, which means the area I live in, Oregon, is going to be experiencing drought. California agriculture will be getting no water again: No irrigation water again this year for Valley farmers | Water and the Valley | FresnoBee.com

No, there's nothing in prophecy about these things drying up. Like I said, just interesting.
