“And war broke out in heaven; Michael and his angels fought against the dragon (e.g. Satan, the enemy of God). The dragon and his angels fought back, but they were defeated, and there was no longer any place for them in heaven. The great dragon was thrown down, that ancient serpent, who is called the Devil and Satan, the deceiver of the whole world-he was thrown down to the earth, and his angels were thrown down with him” (Rev 12:7–9 NRSV)
In the New Testament, Satan is the devil who is the archenemy of God that mounts a significant but ultimately futile challenge to God’s authority. Satan is the enemy of Jesus Christ, all humanity, and the kingdom of God.
The Greek translation of Satan is where we got the word devil and it has the connotation of a slanderous accuser. The devil was called also BEELZEBUL (Mt 5.37) and Beliar, or Belial (2 Cor 6.15).
Other characteristic appellations were the evil one (Mt 5.37), the accuser (Rv 12.10), the adversary (1 Pt 5.8), and the enemy (Mt 13.39).
In Lk 10.18 he is characterized as the leader of the devils who were subject to Christ and His Disciples. He was the tempter of Christ, a murderer, a liar, and the father of murderers and liars (Jn 8.39–44).
He was the strong man whom Christ was defeating (Mt 12.29), the prince of the world to be cast out by Jesus’ sacrifice (Jn 12.31; 14.30; 16.11), and the instigator of Judas Iscariot (Jn 13.2, 27) who ultimately is doomed to everlasting fire (Mt 25.41).
Etc...
My belief is NO, God no longer loves the devil and don't you either or that wicked creature will attempt to use it against you toward your destruction.
Love God, love your neighbor, love holiness, love the fruits of the Holy Spirit (e.g. love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control). Keep your eyes on Christ.
