I love this picture to catch a comparitive picture of redemption in, like if you jump from blotting out sins and as a cloud (at the end when Christ was taken up) is the "through whom" we have redemption (even the forgiveness of sins). Made white in the blood of the Lamb, our sins as scarlet (put on him) and his righteousness (on us).
Isaiah 44:22 I have blotted out, as a thick cloud, thy trangessions, and, as a cloud, thy sins: return unto me; for I have redeemed thee.
Acts 1:9 And when he had spoken these things, while they beheld, he was taken up; and a cloud received him out of their sight.
Col 1:14 In whom we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins:
John 1:29 ....Behold the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world.
Through him is preached the forgiveness of sins
Mat 27:28 And they stripped him, and put on him a scarlet robe.
Sins as scarlet, he who knew no sin made sin (that we could be the righteousness of God in Him)
Isaiah 1:18 Come now, and let us reason together, saith the LORD: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool.
Which reminds me of what followed after (let us reason together)
Acts 17:2 And Paul, as his manner was, went in unto them, and three sabbath days reasoned with them out of the scriptures,
Acts17:3 Opening and alleging, that Christ must needs have suffered, and risen again from the dead; and that this Jesus, whom I preach unto you, is Christ.
Isaiah 53:5 But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; andwith his stripes we are healed.
This is sort of cool though, repeating here sins, cloud redemption
Isaiah 44:22 I have blotted out, as a thick cloud, thy transgressions, and, as a cloud, thy sins: returned unto me; for I have redeemed thee
Acts 1:9 And when he had spoken these things, while they beheld, he was taken up; and a cloud received him out of their sight.
Col 1:14 In whom we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins:
