I shop at Aldis usually once a week. I used to be able to roam around Aldis , well I think everyone caught on to how awesome Aldis is. Aldis is the place to be now.
I know what you mean, whenever I shop there I spend about $22 on average, and have enough food to last close to two weeks.

I had to utilize Google since I had never heard of Aldi before. I found a local article from two years ago announcing that they were opening a store locally but they must have scrapped the plans because I painted the Conn's that is in that location last year.

Woah. Guys. I just wanted to announce, this is an actual store you can find in Australia. We indeed have Aldi as well and its growing more common.

Mind: Blown.

Where I live Aldi is the place where the different people go. Hipsters, Mexicans, nerds, all the people that would go to Walmart if there were nothing better but prefer something better if they can get it.
All those "People of Walmart" people that you always see pictures of online... Yeah, you won't see that at Aldi.
Yeah there are many kinds of people that shop at Aldis , they have a lot of organic and gluten free. I shop at Wal-Mart for different things as well. We also have a store called Wegmans that has decent prices.

Aldo sounds like the Mexican version. Do they sell sombreros there?

The grocery stores in America have become large super centers that have everything. Aldi is simple, food a few other things and that's that. You bring your own bags you pay a quarter for your cart and there aren't carts all over the lot because people want their quarter back so they return them. I like the way they run the store. The line goes super fast you pack your own stuff and you're on your way. It's funny because my kids and husband know the quarter in my car and the bags in my trunk is for Aldi and they don't touch them, lol

Aldi is one of my favorite places to go. I practically avoid Walmart now. I don't like their store very well.

Amazing day at the market. Sold all of my bread in 2 hours... including the sample/rolls I make. I am trying to figure out (now) if I can make more of the same thing, or if I should try another type of bread (brioche is next I think), or if I should try making a par-baked and frozen pizza crust. Pray I listen to HIS guidance. I'm gonna need help soon if this keeps up (what a wonderful problem)!

THIS is when I wish I had a someone. I am so wrung out and I just want to be held, and to be told I did well and that he's proud of me, and to cry a little just to release some of the overwhelm.... and let someone just be there for me. God is so good, and I know he cares about me more than any human man could, but a pair of strong arms and a chest to lean on would be a very good thing indeed.

Ok, here's something crazy stupid and oh so typical of me!!!

I was trying to make a recipe tonight for "zoodles" (zucchini noodles) and so I was peeling away at zucchini with a serrated vegetable peeler... and happened to slice into the side of my finger. The gash is deep enough that you can see about 4 parallel peeled slices into my flesh and it looks like I'm growing gills out of the top of my hand! ARGH!!!! I have to cover it with a band-aid just because the sight of it is making me a little woozy.

The most insane thing is that I use a box cutter EVERY SINGLE DAY at work and haven't cut myself in a few weeks (that might be a record) and yet I come home and maim myself with a vegetable peeler.

Or... it might just mean that vegetables are dangerous.

I think I would have been better off if I had tried to fry myself a burger. I'm thinking one of the requirements I'll need in a significant other is a part-time nurse.

Or maybe just a chef so you can stay away from these dang sharp cooking utensils =P.

I'm thinking, a combination chef/nurse, just to cover all the bases :D.

(If he does all the "dangerous" work, I would gladly wash the dishes.)

Yeah, the ironic thing about the "zoodles" is that I had a craving for alfredo and I've always wanted to make this "healthy" version with zucchini noodles and a sauce made out of cauliflower.

I Still. Have. To. Chop. The. Cauliflower.

Good thing I still have my other hand intact, right? Though I might not after I get through.

If it makes you feel any better I was trying to grate zucchini "noodles" last week and I sliced my finger on the grater as well. Chopping veggies can be dangerous work and rough on the hands. Maybe you should get a machine to do it for you (cheaper and less fuss than a significant other after all).
