Lol...I tried...I see we are still arguing. :)

Can I make a smart alec comment now?
Dangit! That takes all the fun out of it. It's hard to be controversial when people expect it!

Again, the relationship between a man and his wife is likened to Christ's relationship with His church. Does Christ want to dominate His church? A wrong relationship between a man and his wife is often indicative if not always indicative of a wrong relationship between a man or woman or both and Christ.
you're taking the metaphor too far.

does God also want to be intimate with the church in a way a man is with a woman, if you want to literally take it as meaning that

There is nothing "wrong" between 2 consenting married adults, you also seem to think dominant and submissive can only be in the context of abuse and no other way, which is wrong

In truth....here is the thing about sex in marriage. Every time a married couple engages in sex they are renewing their marriage covenant. I just cannot wrap my brain around how any type of bondage or pain or whatever you wanna call it...facilitates that fact at all.

False love? Pain? The only pain He ever gives me is if I ASK for it! Lets not get into the sexual aspects. You clearly do not know. There will be no more assumptions about our relationship. This thread is done and I am leaving. I don't know how to delete my account but good night and good bye. The only one who needs prayer is you. Do you know what assuming means? Might want to look it up. Done

I beg to differ.

she didn't get into what happens, neither are you right to make assumptions over such a subject.

anyway pain can be therapeutic for some people, don't be closed minded.

Now I'm closed minded? I'm sure adam and eve were tying each other up to trees and whipping each other with a cat o 9 tails and whatnot.....cuz thats what open minded people do I guess.

well for starters you know nothing about her relationship and how it functions, your experience is not her experience, also it's rather rude to insult her by calling her a "brainless indecisive child"

I see nothing christian about your attitude or opinion
I did not call that young lady names.

I know exactly what you are. It takes every bit of my self control to not to stoop to your level, so my little chicken noodle of a man I will pray for you.

According to Ephesians chapter 5, husbands are to love their wives as their own bodies and nourish and cherish them as if they were their own flesh. How many husbands do you know who tie themselves up, whip themselves, spank themselves, etc., etc. What would you think of a man who did such things to himself? You'd think that he has serious problems, but when he does it to his wife, then it suddenly becomes okay or normal? You also said that pain can be therapeutic. God can bring chastisement or correction into our lives which can be to our benefit if we yield to the same, but a husband is never to inflict pain upon his wife for any alleged therapeutic reasons. Rather a husband is instructed to wash his wife with the water of the word. BDSM is demonic in nature and has no bearing upon the nature of Christ whatsoever.

like I said the term is often reserved for the Lord Himself...so of course some might not relate to using that term for a man, even their husband.
This is true; but her usage is consistent with the definition of the word. We should remember, however, that Mr. is an abbreviation of Master; and Mrs. is an abbreviation of Mistress; even though the long forms have fallen into disuse.

your exact words are "brainless indecisive child"

I know exactly what you are. It takes every bit of my self control to not to stoop to your level, so my little chicken noodle of a man I will pray for you.
again with the name calling

you are definitely not any elder I would respect, you are not at my level but far below it

again no one has said anything about what they do in the bedroom, this "whips" stuff is literally just assumptions you are making up

people use to think rock music and dancing was demonic.

I still think certain dancing and some rock bands are satanic.

Really? Really? You're not forthcoming with any more details, you've been with this guy since you were fourteen. Along with the other things you've shared, it all sounds a bit dodgy.

She is 22 now . 2012 is about 3 years ago. that makes her 18-19 not 14 when she married.

Calculator lcds sometimes make 9s look like 4s. you need to watch that.
