Seems as if todays religion for some has nothing left to hang on the two greatest laws of love. LOL Those 2 laws are just there without any descriptive instructions. Make it up as you go philosophy, leaving the door wide open for the carnal mind to dominate and determined what it is.:p
You're one of the few posters I see on these forums who still uses his common sense.

Romans 8:7- The mind governed by the flesh is hostile to God; it does not submit to God's law, nor can it do so.

Romans 3:31- Do we nullify the law by this faith? By no means! Rather we uphold the law.

Mathew 5:18-
For truly I tell you, until heaven and earth disappear, not the smallest letter, not the least stroke of a pen, will by any means disappear from the Law until everything is accomplished. Therefore anyone who sets aside one of the least of these commands and teaches others accordingly will be called least in the kingdom of heaven, but whoever practices and teaches these commands will be called great in the kingdom of heaven.

Mathew 23:2-
The teachers of the law and the Pharisees sit in Moses' seat. So you must be careful to do everything they tell you. But do not do what they do, for they do not practice what they preach.
Thank you and may GOD bless you in the name of LORD JESUS CHRIST.

You betray your self-works religion by not allowing for the most important element in the Christian life--the Holy Spirit, both giving knowledge of, and enabling obedience to, Christ's two new covenant (Lk 22:20) laws.

You assume no Holy Spirit and the reign of carnality, mitigated only by observance of the Mosaic laws.

Yours is not a NT understanding of grace, both in its power and in its effects.

Is it getting lukewarm in here? :)

God's law is done away! Let's not read the old testament anymore! All we have to do is say we love God and love our neighbors! And the "Holy Spirit" is doing it all for us!

Please friend, they are not referred to as 'common sense' of this world, but an on-growing learning 'spiritual sense' to the 'Word/CHRIST of GOD' by the 'help' of the HOLY SPIRIT.

Sorry, I couldn't resist.

Anyway, I think it's important to remember that ALL scripture is profitable for instruction in righteousness. And that includes the OT. So rather than trying to single out certain parts o the Bible, let's just study the whole Bible.

Please 'slow down' friend and also 'explain', that CHRIST gave us 'two' New Covenant/Testament?

No rather let's undo what was written on fleshly tablets of the heart with what was written on stone tablets.

2 Corinthians 3:3 (KJV) Forasmuch as ye are manifestly declared to be the epistle of Christ ministered by us, written not with ink, but with the Spirit of the living God; not in tables of stone, but in fleshy tables of the heart.

Perhaps the oP is a bit ambiguous. My reference is to the radical misusage of Paul's writings. I learn from Paul like anyone ele, but I am seeing certain arguments here that are contrary to what our Lord teaches, and tehy are not from Paul, rather from his writings being misuinderstood and passed on such. The lates is that forgiving others is not always what we should do. I have seen others, ut I am asking if you who read this P have seen it also? I am not asking how radical or no Paul's writings are, though it is interesting what some are postin..........thank you ...God bless all in Jesus chist.
I do believe Paul has been misstated, misused because what Paul wrote agreed with how Jesus lived.....

The thing to remember too is that Paul was a very devout believer and he thought he was doing God's work in persecuting the Christians and it took Jesus Himself to literally knock Paul off of his high horse to get his attention.... It may take that for others as well because they sure don't take the writings of Paul as Paul intended them......

Straw men. . .do they usually work for you?

The Holy Spirit enables us to do it.

Are you not familiar with NT teaching?

If I understand you correctly, Mt 22:37-39 is the answer.

Amen. The Holy Spirit writes God's law on our hearts and on our minds, and causes us to walk in His ways.

What Paul wrote went beyond how Jesus lived. . .to life in Christ, to the church as the wife of Christ and, therefore, the body of Christ in the two-in-one enfleshment of the marital union, etc., etc., etc.

Sorry, we are also 'witnessing' what, 'All Scripture' by the 'help' of the HOLY SPIRIT 'taught' us in 'sound doctrine' knowledge 'understanding'.

Please do not 'mix' and 'match', when 'one ' is of 'bound' and the other 'one' is of 'free'.

JESUS said in HIS 'parable', that, "You cannot patch a new cloth onto a torn old cloth, for it will only shrink and make the torn bigger" and, "You cannot pour new wine into an old wine bag, for it will only swell and burst and the wine will be ruined."

May GOD the FATHER of our LORD JESUS CHRIST forgive and bless those who agree with you and you, to 'learn' from the HOLY SPIRIT.

Which is the way of love of God and love of neighbor (Mt 22:37-39; Ro 13:8-10).

How does one go beyond a perfect life lived on earth? Jesus is the only one to do it.

Jesus did pray for us to become one with Him and the Father as they were one.

Everyone wants to love Paul and what he said/wrote........... and granted he was lead by the Holy Spirit.....However, What about what Jesus said? I respect Paul but Jesus is God.....I think I will stick with what Jesus said as it was coming straight from the source.

Is there not a 'difference' between a 'bride' and a 'wife'?

Where is 'wife' mentioned in the Holy Scripture?

Aren't you kind of 'partially off' according to the 'written' and 'taught' Holy Scripture by the HOLY SPIRIT?

GOD bless you in the name of LORD JESUS CHRIST.

I hate to break it to you, but God's law is here to stay. No matter how much you hate it, and want it to be abolished, His people are still going to continue to obey it. The scriptures show that people from all nations of the world will go to Jerusalem to learn the torah during the milennial reign.

All your accomplishing by rebelling against the truth is making yourself the "least in the kingdom". It may also invalidate your prayers.

Mathew 5:19- Therefore anyone who sets aside one of the least of these commands and teaches others accordingly will be called least in the kingdom of heaven, but whoever practices and teaches these commands will be called great in the kingdom of heaven.

Prverbs 28:9- He that turneth away his ear from hearing the law, even his prayer shall be abomination.

Thank you, is the answer, 'as it is written', JESUS gave two 'commandments', or 'Covenant' as you have 'quoted'?
