My brother has been working on this for awhile now.
What do you see?
I'll tell you what he intended later on.
(I chose the rotation of the photo. He prefers it at a different angle.)

I see a long cavern or a bird's eye-view of the heavens eg. clouds reaching down to the earth below eg. an island surrounded by violent waters. Or a top-down view of the inside of a tornado. I'm not really sure. But I like it very much. :)

reminds me of the inside of that giant worm that was chasing Sandy Squirrel and Sponge Bob...I'm sorry I'm not good at guessing the meaning of pictures and ink blots and stuff

Yes, I see those also. I love the long cavern view.
Your last idea is very close to what was intended.

Abstract art doesn't require good guesses. Just imagination.

(Btw, you might have something there. It totally looks like the inside of a gigantic worm/esophagus)

Is it the eye of a hurricane?

Not to me, but yes.
The intention was to have light piercing the eye of a hurricane.
God being with you in the center of storm.

I like the "light at the end of the tunnel" view.

LT,

Put another on thread, but with the angel your brother prefers.

I see a solid ring at the forefront, manmade. Then clumpy stuff. Then separation like of liquid.

Bottomless pit?
Or, the earth was without form and void?

LT, put on another shot of it at different angle. It's making me upset.

I gots to know.

Is it the tunnel we have to travel through when we die? You know the one people see when they go under the knife. They always go through a tunnel. But that can't be it. It's got a concrete, plaster, stucco or something like that around it.

LT. What is it?

Really? That's interesting. My other guess was going to be the digestive tract of the great fish that swallowed up Jonah. But I decided against it. :)

The setting is in a metal discus.
The intention is "light in the center of the storm".

This is the first one he made in this genre.
He calls it "l'eau oublié".

If that is it, I would say it does need some more definition.

But don't be angry or hurt or disappointed. It's a great start. Really. Tell your brother not to abandon it. I tell you why. The setting in the metal discus is brilliant. Okay. It is.
Why? Because as wild as storms are, they are not sovereign. They are contained. God made it so.

Encourage your brother to keep working on it. I love it.

I'm not sure I understand what the 'metal discus' is. Isn't a discus something you throw horizontally into the air to see how far it travels? Like for Sports Days? The symbolism of the metal discus is confuzzling me.

That is beautiful!
And I don't mean to change the topic but I gotta say, the night I gave my life over to God, I had this thought/dream/vision whatever you want to call it..I won't go into detail but it was storming.. And after I made my decision the sky changed. It was still storming all around except right above me and that is what the sky looked like.. Just like it.
Thank you for posting it. :)

I call it a "discus" because that's what he calls it. It's a circular metal plate.
These things are like two feet wide, and weigh probably 20 pounds (could be much less if it's aluminum. I don't know). The picture doesn't really show the scale.

Galahad, I like your assessment of the picture :) fun fact: the light at the end of the tunnel phenomenon is supposedly caused by the optic nerve synapses firing off due to what happens to the neurophysiological state of the dying brain perceiving a light at the end of the tunnel effect, the reason why every one experiences the same when this happens...in "near death" experiences.
