When I was younger,
I was in a karate group,
I've discovered this sport
by my parents.
In fact, my father had a girlfriend
(not my mom)
and she wanted me to be a cheerleader
and I told her to find another sport so.

It's from Internet,
but that was the sport I did
when I was younger and the reason
I don't do this sport anymore,
it's because I changed my mind
and my kind of activities then.

The West Indies love it, in Barbados it is on in bars cafe's on TV and on the radio - they all follow it.

Mitspa, it's funny you don't "get" cricket but I understand because I don't "get" American football, several years ago I was at a game, I didn't understand the 7? ref's and all the stoppages. Then all of a sudden all the players go off and a shed-load of different ones come on lol - what's that all about? LOL Oh and the guy picks up the ball and runs with it but almost never reaches it's destination. I left that game completely bemused by it all. We Brits think it looks like our rugby but really it's not. Incidentally why is it called football? Do they ever kick it?

Enjoy yourself, my Sister!

I'm leaving for a road trip tomorrow. Going to Pittsburgh to pick up my fraternity brother, then we're headed to Chicago to see the Cubs then off to Detroit to see the Tigers (you know who Tigger's routing for) then back to Pittsburgh to see ESPN's Sunday Night game of the week between the much hated Giants and God's beloved Pirates.

I went to a Pirates game last August at PNG Field. It was the most fun game I've ever been to, seriously.

Which game? Who did the Pirates play?
The Dodgers. Pirates won (of COURSE) 12-7. Hot sultry night, many laughs... WILD fan base.

I'll be honest, I'm not a HUGE sports fan, but I love to go to games live. Could really care less about seeing a game on TV. I like the Pirates, the Twins (what? I'm a homer), The Vikes for nostalgia (don't have a football team)... and I'm STILL mourning the loss of the North Stars to Dallas 25 years later.

For your information, kind sir, I'm not going to see the Yankees. Ha, and you thought you were SOOOOO smart ;) ;) ;)
Have you ever been to a Yankees game? My first game was in Tampa about ten years ago, the Yankees were playing the Rays. I went to my second Major League game last year in Tampa, and it was the Yankees, and I got to see Jeter's farewell tour. I've been to quite a bit of minor league games.
