The thing is, I just don't know how to respond to arrogance. Plus, I do kid around a lot. I do.
You know, I will try to tone things down. Okay.

I will try to remember "A soft answer turneth away wrath."

One time I apologized to a fellow member. She became so inflamed. She did. Accused me of not being sincere.
In the mean time, she's posting all sorts of hard and smart mouth responses.

I am not referring to ATWC. Okay. It was someone else. So, even if an apology is made, BAM! KABOOM! POW! FIRE AWAY! We have a weak one. Destroy him.

The Bible says "Better is open rebuke than love concealed". If one cannot take the heat, run from the kitchen. Are CHRISTIANS to always be so egg-shelled and thin skinned? We should be understanding and forgiving..but silly willy comments and immaturity and always trying to be 'politically correct" is not Biblical at all. Don't you think that for one moment that those temple sellers went home and rejoiced that this weird man named JESUS of Nazareth suddenly appeared in the temple courtyard, yelling, screaming "YOU have made my FAther's house a den of thieves!!! THis JESUS made a whip and started snapping it, turning over our money tables, our wares and upset the animals and set them free....HOw dare HE!!!!!! Did anyone walk up to JESUS and say "Now, now, dearie, calm down..You have discouraged someone's economy and you should never upset people like YOU just did!...shame shame."

I know this sort of goes against the original intent of the OP, but....

My favorite part of this thread is all the people who are venting about people who want to vent.

The levels of irony are *hysterical*

I do agree with this. I know PW has tried this, but with certain people his personal messages go ignored, his questions unanswered, and any "chance of clearing the air" and making things right again go unanswered. What do we do when people still try to accuse us on here even after a pm is sent and there is no response? Do we just ignore them and let them go on accusing and even to the point of them becoming untruthful? Anytime anything is said in rebutle to certain people in public (because they will not even try to set it straight in private) it is taken as harassment, and they continue with the accusations and do not even try to make things better. It is so frustrating to see this happen which is why PW and I are seriously considering leaving this forum. I don't want to as I have learned a lot and have found so much comfort here, but it is so hard to see past some of the hatred and arrogance.

This post is not directed to you, crossnote. I just quoted your post because I really wish that more people would do this, instead of continuing the hatred/slander to others in public. And i really don't know if i have skin thick enough to tolerate it :( I am an emotionally weak person, and i know i get my feelings hurt easily :(
General, PW DON'T LEAVE, Please. Please Please.

I was going to leave at one time. Someone suggested I take a break from the forum. I think it was that Mormon guy, Utah. Is he Mormon? I don't know. Utah! Why not New Mexico? Or Alaska? How about Mississippi?

Anyways, don't leave. Please General. Stay. Okay. You too PW.

I've tried to take your peace making suggestions. In fact, applied them to another member. Sent a rep point to the member. You know who I am talking about.

Don't leave.

Yeah...but Jesus could tell the difference between money-lenders and bruised reeds. Many here cannot and simply use their whips and doctrine sticks to beat on others indiscriminately. When the responder fails to comply with the control attempted to be levied, they just get another beating. The vast majority of people who post in the forums and who chat in the room are looking for human connection. Once they receive a little empathy, then they are able and ready to hear, "Did you know that Jesus has more for you?"

I understand what you mean and I'm glad JESUS wasn't a respecter of persons and I'm glad he didn't ignore us, but men can't perfectly interpret someone's intentions.
So true. Thank you for your response.

Can you clarify: "JESUS wasn't a respecter of persons"

Sincerely,
PW
With GOD the truth is right regardless of who posted it.The truth is there are cliques in here, and I am guilty as the next person of overlooking someone's post regardless of how deep it was and liking someone's post even though it wasn't much to it.

I have been challenged on this exact behavior by users here. It's interesting; I have seen no site guidance on "like" button etiquette -- but I am learning, through fellow members.

Thank you for your response, Sir.

I have noticed clicks, yeah. But I dont think its a big deal, any time you have a gathering of people you have "clicks" :p

I usually find one or two people I get along with on a forum and make my own click with them at some point anyways, so its not something I consider a bad thing :p

Isn't venting another word for gossiping? What does venting do for a person except make him/her feel better? (And I'm not saying that's always a terrible thing, but if it is at the expense of someone else it is.)

For what purpose?
Perhaps the person being referred to could remain anonymous?
Hello MadParrotWoman
Whether we mention their name or don't mention their name GOD still knows the heart.

I just posted in another thread about my softening of heart regarding my words and actions, and I am sincere about that. Yet I have seething anger for Pharisees who shut out the Kingdom of Heaven against others. Their arrogance throughout the ages have caused countless people to fall away from having faith in Christ. The gloves come off when it comes to them.

there sure is, especially if their anything like the snobby, judgmental cliques in the BDF and Singles forums.. :/

I will miss you, definitely. Hope you return. You are so very encouraging. Very much so. Keep the faith. Stay strong.

And live long and thrive. You know. That guy on that commercial. Oh well. It's a beer commercial. I just like the saying "Live long and thrive, my friend."

Myself, I may be following you out as well.

Utah is like you. Positive and encouraging. Oh, thegeneral? Gone as well? I'll check.
