As always I will start first. I attended a Christian School, so our PROM consisted of no dances. The theme SHAKESPEARE! So as no dancing was involved, we ate a meal of Cornish hens and watched videos created by each member of the student council depicting Shakespeare works of arts. I remember I used my dog as the horse for a scene in Hamlet...it was humorous. However a most boring prom. My date worse a all white TUX with coral bow tie and cumber bun. Shoes were shiny white. I opened the door and was like what???? He said he was my "white knight"! My dress was actually beautiful and still hangs in my closet if BIG and I mean BIG Ruffled shoulders come back in. HAHAHAHA How about yours?

Haha that was a sweet story!
I didn't go to my prom. All my friends had dates and I wasn't invited, so I felt bad going alone. Honestly though, I'm sure I wouldn't have liked it. I'm the type that doesn't like to be in the crowd, especially dancing. I've never danced with a guy before so I have no idea how to do it! LOL

I too went to a Christian school that, by the sound of it, would have probably been condemned to hell by your Christian school :) seeing as it allowed dancing (wouldn't that be funny if both schools rented out rooms for their proms right next to each other?) :D

All I can says is: Prom Night. Big Dress. Big Date. Bigger Hair.

As the time of my Junior Prom approached, I was, what seemed to be typically, dateless and boyfriendless with No Hope. I say that in humor--my friends were so confident for me that they bought me a white bear in a tux and said he could be my date!

Alas... there was a guy I liked at work... and so I asked him... Prom was actually our first date. And we were together 4 years after that.

Mine was a bit pathetic, see me and my two best friends who were both girls were never asked to go to the prom so the three of us went together and I don't dance so we basically stood there drinking punch, do you hear the tiny violin playing?

I had just broke up with my boyfriend, so I was not planning to go to prom, but a guy friend asked me and I end up going with him. We went to Catholic school so a ballroom was rented at a local hotel with a sit down dinner and all. It was very nice! I wore a pink Victorian type gown with a lace high collar and I also wore a hat and my date wore a grey tux. We matched well :)

Another 'Christian School' prom here. We rented a hotel ballroom, but it was very nicely done, very tasteful. Chaperones watching the dance floor like hawks with the "6 inch rule" (distance between couples).

I rocked a white tux like a boss.

I was asked to go, but I had no desire to, so I didn't lol. Not to mention there was an NBA playoff game that night that I wasn't going to miss XD. I never understood why it was such a big thing, but I find most ''social'' events repulsive.. so no surprise there :p.

Prom was awkward but really fun. My high school was huge with a large senior class so our proms were held at a beautiful hotel in D.C. I went with a group of friends. The day started out so fun with salon visits for hair, nails, and makeup. Seeing all the classmates in evening wear was awesome. Going out to eat at the all night restaurants afterwards with a big group was even better.

One hugely awkward part part of prom was dancing. Trying to have fun dancing with your friends while simultaneously discouraging your even more eager than normal male classmates from plastering themselves to you was interesting. I don't even want to think about the slow dancing, I sat that portion of prom out. Overall, I liked my prom experience.

It would actually be really cool to have a "CC Prom" in which we could all get together and celebrate either past memories or make up for anything we missed...

On one side of the room we'd have a banquet and dance floor for "traditional prom-mers"... And on the other side we'd have a large-screen TV and video game center for those who wanted to to spend prom time gaming (or watching games).

Hmm... whom should I ask? (Who would the unfortunate victim be...)

Oh no, now I'm not sure which side I would want to be on. I mean... I want to dress up all fancy and struggle through a dance or two, but I also want to be playing video games...

*looks forlornly from one side to the other*

As for me, I was homeschooled and had no prom. I did go to several dances at our local high school. They were awesome to let me participate even though I didn't go there.

Ha ha ha!! Believe it or not Grace, I was thinking of you when I wrote that post!! And, I'm thinking... You would look gorgeous in your dress with a "GO BIG OR GO HOME, YOU LOSER!!!" look on your face while jumping up and down with a controller.

I'd take lots of pictures. :p

P.S. I could spoon-feed you in between kills. After all, that's what friends are for!
