Recently a friend asked my opinion on this issue. His words: "My granddaughter told me the other day that her third grade class was learning how to sing a song in sign language. The song is 'Imagine' by John Lennon. Anyone who does not know the words of this song should look them up. At the very least it says that the world would be better off without God. It also states that there is no God. My question is this, if we cannot teach in our public schools that God exists, why are they able to teach that He does not? The Law is that public education remains neutral. Govt remains neutral in the subject and practice of religion. The elementary school teaching the song 'Imagine' by John Lennon appears to me to have violated that Law. "
Does to me as well. In some things i believe Christians should yield. in others they should hold their ground. And in some, i believe we should push back. American Christians are every bit American as any one else. Paul, when it became advantageous, claimed legal rights afforded him by Roman Law. In like manner we should lay hold of and claim our American Rights afforded us by American Law. I believe that Soloflight-coG will take up Lee's cause.
Amen?
