His eye's grey clear, and quick,-in reproving hypocrisy, in admonishing, courteous and fair spoken; pleasant in conversation, mixed with gravity. It can not be remembered that any have seen Him laugh, but many have seen Him weep. In proportion of body, most excellent; His hands and arms delicate to behold. In speaking, very temperate, modest, and wise. A man, for His singular beauty, surpassing the children of men".

Jesus was Jewish, not an American. The pictures we have of Jesus was given to us by Satan to mislead people. Jesus was Jewish and Jesus did look a lot like what the Jewish people look like today.
They kind of look American to me.

Jesus spent a lot of time in the sun, so his hair may have been bleached golden by sun. Back when i use to stay out on the streets preaching, i would go with the birds, north in summer, south in winter, back then my hair had gold streaks in it and my hair is dark, well gray now. So maybe Jesus did have dark hair before it was bleached by the sun.

I cant think of what its called right now :/ But the blanket that was laid on His body after crucifixion that bears His resemblance, it had long hair.

I believe Christ had very dark hair, yes. It is a common trait in that part of the earth, I believe He was dark haired, dark eyed and dark skin. I could be wrong, yeah. But I doubt He really cares too much on how He looked on earth, but what He did for us anyways :p

I didn't ask if he was American. I asked if you think he had dark hair. I didn't even as if he did have dark hair.

And the purpose was, just once, NOT to argue. And good news, the vast majority aren't arguing. Give it a try. It's soothing.

i can't really say much about the description of Jesus since i never seen Him, but there are descriptions of Him by people outside the bible that have told what they seen. Publius Lentullus described it as being the color of the chestnut, full ripe. The letter from Pontious Pilate to Tiberius Caeser described His hair being golden colored. From other descriptions i've read i believe it was a golden color.
Wow! Cool. I didn't even know it was researchable. Of course, now I'm going to wonder what the Mediterranean region of that era considered golden. I had a BIL that, if you asked me, I would have said he was dirty blonde. Hubby, his brother, considered him brown haired. He's of the opinion that hair gets darker (before it goes gray) as we get older, so the only way to be a blond is to be a blond as a child, (bottle not included, of course. lol) Since his brother wasn't blonde as a kid, he couldn't be blonde as a man. So, I wonder if any Scandinavians moved south and settled in with the Romans and Greeks, or even into Judea. Boy, could that mix up the hair colors. lol

The very first picture of Jesus I ever laid my eyes on was from this old book:

I'm still unsure if Jesus did have short hair or long hair.
I wonder if he had male-patterned-baldness.

In the Song of Solomon, if you believe the man is representative of our Blessed Lord and Savior, He describes himself as dark. I would imagine black hair just would accompany being dark, but not always. So what have I added here? Not much.

I don't think He was the blue-eyed blondish Jesus I have seen depicted as knocking at the door in pictures, but we all hav our ideas. Actually, I do not, not really. It will be glorious to see Him when He returns. I can say this in all certain ty, He will not look anything like people around the world have depicted Him................but He is glorious forever, amen.
What have we addressed here? Everyone has an opinion, and yet the battle axes and broadswords are still at our sides. Pretty cool. It's possible.

My guess is that He was a manly man. From children's pictures we always get this soft features. I think He was a big guy :) with piercing eyes

We will be in awe flat down facing the floor... :) Oh come Lord Jesus come. Thank you ABBA Father for your Son who died for us all. Amen.
Yup, when the time comes, we're more than likely going to learn what the ground looks like, (It isn't gold! lol) up close and personal, before we get to noticing what God looks like. And yet, we won't really notice the ground, because our minds will be consumed with God.

You don't think he chuckled a little when he said, "Thou art Peter, and upon this rock...?"

I think he laughed often, just because I don't know how to have joy without laughter. (Maybe he does.)

I gotta be honest. I know this is totally meaningless and everything. But like...... seeing Him drawn with short hair.....its kinda unsettling :p

I mean, I have always seen Him with long hair, and it has always guided the way I see Him, 100% not earthly at all ever, that He didnt even keep His hair in anyway, and did not keep it cut and styled. So seeing Him with short hair, it kinda feels wrong to me :p

Sorry, that sounded angry. It wasn't even annoyed. I was enjoying how many takes were given on this question, and got a blast of Satan in an answer. And I'm not saying the answer was satanic. I just wasn't expecting Satan to show up on this thread. lol

(Now I see why people keep thinking I'm angry, even when I'm not. Doh! Sorry about that.)

Jesus was a carpenter by trade. It is unlikely that His hands and arms were delicate. More likely that His hands were rough and calloused and His arms muscular. Not only is Jesus divine in nature but He also was very human and understood full well the human condition. It is likely that He had a few good laughs now and then. Even now He can take on the physical human form as well as being in spirit.
