When you were being witnessed to before coming to Jesus did the speel go something like this in describing the Christian life......
"God loves you and has a wonderful plan for your life"
'"When you give your life to Him, your days will be long and prosperous"
Or, was it more like this?...
1 Peter 4:12-13 KJVS
[12] Beloved, think it not strange concerning the fiery trial which is to try you, as though some strange thing happened unto you: [13] But rejoice, inasmuch as ye are partakers of Christ's sufferings; that, when his glory shall be revealed, ye may be glad also with exceeding joy.
2 Timothy 3:12 KJVS
[12] Yea, and all that will live godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution.
Hebrews 12:5 KJVS
[5] And ye have forgotten the exhortation which speaketh unto you as unto children, My son, despise not thou the chastening of the Lord, nor faint when thou art rebuked of him:
We do need to be honest with those we are sharing the Gospel to.
Yes, life will be eternal but there will be rough waters ahead.
