I want to read books again since my mom died, but I gotta say, I've tried quite a few times, and the words just all blur together.
I am sorry, Lil. :( You've been going through a lot! Hang in there, girl. :(

I liked the recording by Abing and Skittle. That's really good! Keep the tracks coming! :D

Oh boy, another SAP (self appointed prophet for the newbies who aren't familiar with Seoul's acronym) who doesn't know the meaning of the word civility.
Aw crud.

I gotta be careful.

Cinder actually pays attention to what I say... and remembers!! (Donkeyfish, too. He quotes things back to me I literally wrote years ago and had completely forgotten about.)

I'm doomed.

Wow. You really ARE doomed then. I'm the same as Cinder and Donkeyfish. I remember what people say long after they forget.

Obviously, I didn't know what I was getting into when I joined this site.

Intelligent, witty people who can rationally confront you with anything you've ever posted??

ARGH.

I never even knew that existed on the internet.

So I showed up for work today and good things happened :)

Boss was concerned and said I should've stayed home but I was stubborn so he said "I declare today it will be peaceful and you can rest even at work". I smiled at that. My mother texted me and said "I prayed you will have a peaceful day at work". I smiled at that. 8 peaceful hours have passed and I realized I'm glad to be alive and living. This isn't my dream job but the people I work with, with all their flaws, are heaven sent. I love my family who overprays for me lol. I'm pretty sure there had been many instances where I could've gotten into trouble if not for their prayers. I get the next 2 days off and I can start working on Christmas music projects! #exciting.

Why don't you try Audible?? It's like being a kid again!! Having someone read you story and make the character's voices and interpretations... it's pretty cool!! :)

When I first heard The Hobbit on Audible I really felt like a little kid again!! So wonderful!!! :)

That's the good part. The bad part is when they confront you with what they THOUGHT you said, then insult you over it. :p

Welcome to the internet. Anything you might have said has already been held against you.

You use audible too?!? Can we be best friends?!? I love it, it's my first month, I read/listened to one book and currently trying to finish one from the great courses (25 hours -_____-). Anyway I love it and I love you now too!!

Huahuahuahuahua

Abing, you are unique!! :)

Yes.. I love Audible... it's perfect for my long hours inside my car... traffic does get a hold on your nerves after a while... I don't even know how many books I have on my library... Let me check... 62... if I counted right... hehehehehe

It's so much fun!! But a word of advice?

ALWAYS listen a little bit of the book before buying it... I bought a book once and absolutely hated the narrator... I just couldn't stand the way he read the book... so I left it alone...

But most of them are pretty good!! :)

Martin Shaw is wonderful... and I'm nuts about Nick Podehl as well... :)

I've heard Hamlet read by Richard Armitage... I'm telling you... it was awesome!! Loved it!!

Just don't buy The Kingkiller's Chronicles until the third book comes out... it tests our sanity... really!

I am traveling for 3 weeks. Who wants to pack up all my bags and get my apartment ready for my hiatus from here and in RL?

Any takers?

I would do it in exchange for a year's supply of homecooked dinners :p
