2Cor.10:2 .....some which think of us as if we walked according to the flesh(pride, self serving).
vs. 4 the weapons of our warfare are not carnal (driven by self ambition) but mighty through God (His truth exemplified by power) to the pulling down of strongholds (lies and deception. Carnal self interests)
vs.5 casting down (for they are in upper positions) imaginations (gr. logismos: arguments and reasonings that twist the word of God for fun and profit) and every high thing (reasoning) that exalts itself against the (biblical) knowledge of God, and bringing (by teaching His truth) into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ.
vs.7 ....if any man trust to himself that he is Christ's, let him of himself think this (through) again that as he is Christ's even so we are Christ's.
Ch.11:12-15 But what I do (preach the truth) , that I do that I may cut off occasion from them which desire occasion (to teach falsely, denounce us) that now they glory (in their self interests) they may (repent) and be found even as we.
For such are false prophets (that profit) deceitful (Christian ministry) workers, transforming themselves (by fleshly works) into the apostles of Christ ( for filthy lucre and esteemed upper positions).
And no marvel, for satan himself is transformed into an angel of light.
Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also be transformed as the (Christian) ministers of righteousness, whose end shall be according to their works (lifestyles and twisted teachings).
Now Paul is not talking about JW's or Mormons or Muslims or satanists. He's talking about Christian ministers, so called, charlatans. Redeemed individuals mainly, a few unredeemed, that had a choice to make. Be a ruling king or be a giving servant. Follow in Christ's steps or follow in Diotrephes steps. See: 3John.
Note how I point to scripture. A novel concept wouldn't you say?
