Donald Trump's Muslim US ban call sparks Republican outcry - BBC News

There has been a storm of condemnation from Donald Trump's fellow Republicans after the presidential candidate called for a ban on Muslims entering the US.

Carly Fiorina used her response to take simultaneous aim at President Barack Obama, saying his "overreaction is as dangerous as President Obama's under-reaction"(opinion vary)

side note, asking a lot of question, and giving no answers.

The girly men in the the GOP will do anything to get elected. The stance they are taking on this issue will also backfire on them. We are tired of these people.

Yup, this generation has had enough of islam and enough of the secularist lies in one decade to fill a whole lifetime. If Trump is the only one that will do that which is right, then so be it.

Seems the MSM is trying to capitalize on Trump's comments by emphasizing any perceived disagreements amongst 'conservatives'.

His main point is simply put a halt on the process until we are very sure what we are facing. No problem here.

Let them, this only proves the rightist and leftist are just two sides to the same crooked coin.
Let the leftist be vexed and let the rightist tremble.
They are both about to get Trump'd!

From Liberty Counsel................

"Appearing on ABC's "Good Morning America" this morning, Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump touched off a firestorm of commentary after suggesting he would temporarily ban Muslims from entering the U.S. until lawmakers could put together a plan to properly vet them.

"This is war," said Trump. Without the proper processes in place, he continued, "we can't identify what their attitude is."
Weeks ago, when President Obama announced that he was moving forward with plans to accept 10,000 Syrian refugees into the U.S., Trump loudly protested, warning that the influx of Syrians could represent "a Trojan horse."
While the argument is made that these refugees deserve a haven of safety and will assimilate, consider the contrary findings of a recent survey conducted by our friends at the Center for Security Policy...
"According to the just-released survey of Muslims in America, a majority (51%) agreed that 'Muslims in America should have the choice of being governed according to shariah.'

Even more troubling is the fact that nearly a quarter of the Muslims polled believed that, 'It is legitimate to use violence to punish those who give offense to Islam by, for example, portraying the prophet Mohammed.

Nearly one-fifth of Muslim respondents said that the use of violence in the United States is justified in order to make shariah the law of the land in this country."
There is no doubt that these incoming Muslims will desire the opportunity to practice their religious tenets, which is also the basis for their culture and laws. LCA fully supports freedom of religion, and unlike Donald Trump, would not advocate a religious test as part of our immigration policy. But we insist on vetting immigrants to identify and reject terrorists.
CNSNews reports of the 2,184 Syrian refugees admitted into the U.S. since the Syrian civil war erupted in 2011, only 53 (2.4 percent) have been Christians while 2,098 (or 96 percent) have been Muslims — this according to State Department statistics updated on November 16.

+ + U.S. lawmakers are duty-bound to protect our citizens.

With deadly violence here in the U.S. and evidence suggesting 1 in 4 American Muslims support a global jihad and wish us harm, it is reckless for the President to proceed with his plan."

They (all the political experts) have been predicting that for about a year now....I don't have a issue with the intention of what he said ...I think like always he said it in a way that folks could use it against him.

Trump will make another exaggerated statement, the media will jump on it, and forget the old statement. I think that his plan is to make so many ridiculous statements that the main stream media can't find one and harp on it long enough to make it stick. Right now he seems to be laughing his way to the GOP nomination. My 20 year old grandson and his friends are all proudly displaying his bumper stickers.

Our Republic was ultimately furnished for a people of a Western if not Christian cultural mindset. Believers in Sharia refuse to live under this paradigm. They therefore refuse to truly be Americans.

If one refuses to be American, then they ought not gain admittance to the United States.

Seems to be a good idea. But then again, he will most likely not get elected.

After Mr. Trump's latest travel ban request, you would not believe the number of fence straddlers that have jumped to his side and the reasons they offer for their decision. Full Steam Ahead

Agreed. The whole religion registry thing could've been toxic, but with this he has probably redeemed himself.

Amen...halleluja and rock on. It's really not all that complicated. The only reasonable conclusion to be made about Americans who disagree with this is they have a death wish. Like an abused spouse who keeps returning to their abuser.

Buddhist & Taoist Americans of Chinese descent built our railroads.

if one refuses to allow freedom of religion, they refuse to be American.

Trump should self-deport, IMO.

This thread isn't about deporting anyone. It's about a sensible immigration policy that doesn't get Americans killed ... As it is now, there isn't one.

If you apply the biblical principle of responsible management of resources.. our unfettered let em all come with reckless abandon policy lacks wisdom.
