I saw some news this week that an Astronomer believes there may be another Planet on the edge of our Solar system.
He has observed Asteroids behaving in an odd way which appears to indicate that they are being influenced by a very large object that could only be a Planet. He made calculations and claims the Planet would be about ten times the size of the earth and would take 20,000 years to orbit the Sun. The hunt is now on to spot it. makes me wonder how many others might be out there. Any intelligent responses or views. Flat Earth devotees need not apply

I've always believed in a flat earth.

On the edge of our solar system? But that edge keeps getting farther and farther away, doesn't it?

Ask a military sniper. When taking a shot from extreme distances, up to a mile and a half for a 50 caliber rifle, the shooter has to factor in the curviture of the earth.. This is called the Coriolis effect

That would suggest the earth isn't flat.

In the early 1600's Galileo published a book claiming the earth was round and got into trouble with the church.
Actually, it was mostly the secular world at the time who had problems with his discoveries.

Wikipedia:

On February 26, Galileo was called to [Cardinal] Bellarmine's residence and ordered,

"to abstain completely from teaching or defending this doctrine and opinion or from discussing it... to abandon completely... the opinion that the sun stands still at the center of the world and the earth moves, and henceforth not to hold, teach, or defend it in any way whatever, either orally or in writing."

— The Inquisition's injunction against Galileo, 1616.
