These are words of encouragement from the Lord that have come to me over the last 8 months and thought I would share it with the hope that someone will be encouraged today.

Stay positioned. no matter what your natural eyes see. Do not move, even when you have stared impossibilities in the face and they haven't bowed yet. STAY IN PLACE, STAY IN FAITH.

In all the tension, in the mystery, in the stretching, in the disappointment, in the not understanding. STAY IN PLACE...!

The Lord is not asking us to persist in any circumstance - but to persist in who He is and what He has done for us in the finished work of Christ and who we are now because of the new creation in Christ.

Regardless of what our current situation is or what our past experiences may be telling us, God is always doing more then meets the eye. Understanding this powerful truth releases hope and faith in Him and helps us war against hopelessness and depression.

Although God does not cause bad things to happen to His children, ( we can do a pretty good job of that on our own...and we do have a ruthless enemy that comes to steal, kill and destroy us ) The Lord can use any situation that has come to destroy us and create beauty out of any ashes that may have come. He is mighty to save!

Are you actually claiming; "Thus sayest the Lord" apart from Scripture?

If you are, Christians are bound to obey what you say - if what you say actually comes from God.

You need to be extremely careful when you claim such a thing. To speak for God is a serious matter.

Just a friendly warning.

No..words of encouragement are not "creating scripture".....they are just that..words to encourage people that are going through difficult situations...That their Lord loves them deeply and fiercely and is with them in every situation that they face.

I understand what you are getting at brother but be assured words of encouragement to trust in the Lord are not creating new scripture nor telling people to "obey someone".....bless you and have a great day!

My cause for concern is when you said:

These are words of encouragement from the Lord that have come to me...

Words from the Lord, to you.

But, since you deny that's not what you actually mean, I'll accept your explanation.

Be blessed, Bro. :)

Gotcha!.....now if I included words of encouragement "from the Lord" for you to send me $100.......I think that would be a great example of the abuse that can happen......( so..are you sending the $100 bucks ?)

Oh good grief Budman. It's in the Bible... this is no "new revelation" We are clearly told to be building up one another in the faith. To encourage one another with the encouragement we have been encouraged with and given. Do you honestly have a problem with that?

I have a friendly warning too, if you are looking for a "heretic" you WILL find one every time.

Relax, Lynn. I had a concern, and he explained himself. It was friendly and to our mutual satisfaction. Not everything is a fight in the making. One of the problems with communicating through the internet, is one of inflection. It's difficult to interpret emotion.

I asked what I did, because there are so many people who make claims that they say come from the Lord - directly. Television evangelists are famous for this.

I would expect, and encourage, Grace777X70 to challenge me if I said something that struck a cord as odd to him. Just as you did.

Blessings. :)

Actually, some of his post was verbatim copy/paste from someone's website who does claim to receive directly from the lord. A NAR 'prophet' to be precise.

A little difficult to see much sincerity in your words when you put it that way. I would have expected something more along the lines of: "Now that I better understand what you meant, I stand corrected." (That's a bit better than "accepting" what he said because you got him to "deny" your interpretation).......... It's like me saying that what you said was fine because you posted from "your ignorance." (See how nicely my kind and considerate words sat with you?)

Thank you Budman., I see you and Grace777 worked things out but I had already posted and couldn't take it down. Very much appreciate you both being able to communicate the way you did. Like you said., too often things get misunderstood on forums.

I've seen where even if a person does try to clear up a mis understood post, they are sometimes not listened to. So it's good to see you are the kind who listens and you and Grace777 are AOK.
:) Thank you for posting me., that was nice of you. Blessings to you too Budman! :D

LOL..that reminds me of these 4 best friends...one was a multi-billionaire and he was dying so he asked his other 3 friends to do him a favor....he gave them each $100,000 bucks in CASH in an envelope and he wanted them to put it in the casket with him so that he could have the cash in the afterlife.

The guy dies..his 3 friends go to the funeral and they each go up to him in the casket and slip an envelope into his coat.

The 3 friends are sitting around talking after ward and finally one of them..a minister said.."I have to confess I only put $50,000 in the envelope because a family got burned out and they needed the money..it was a waste to put this money in the ground".

The 2nd friend says...a doctor..." I too only put in $50,000 bucks as a family needed an operation and they didn't have the money".

The last friend being a lawyer said.." I can't believe you guys didn't give him the whole amount of money like he asked to do.."

The other 2 looked at the lawyer and said.."So, you gave him all the money?"

The lawyer says " Of course..I wrote him a check for the whole $100,000"........

The check's in the mail.

And I apologize for butting in. But as can be seen from my own post, we can all do with a bit of a slow-down in some of our flash posting.

Bro, as I was reading this, I couldn't help but think of the following Scripture:

Be still, and know that I am God. Psalm 46:10 :)
