Amen!..the hard part for me is the "be still.."...and it is in really "knowing" our Father and our Lord for who they really are that we live...thanks for your encouragement.

John 17:3 (KJV)
[SUP]3 [/SUP] And this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent.

Bro, as I was reading this, I couldn't help but think of the following Scripture:

Be still, and know that I am God. Psalm 46:10 :)

As we ALL should look out for others so they don't have to embarrass themselves by defending themselves.

Oh yeah, I forgot the kind clincher........ "Blessings  "
Well, at least you didn't say "bless your heart"....

Oh, and Grace.... I don't have $100 to send, can I just lay my hand on the monitor and send you happy thoughts?

By the way, I appreciate the words of encouragement... it's good to hear again.... to be reminded.

Oh I think grace777 is quite capable in defending himself. Why do you think he would embarress himself in just giving a simple explanation as he actually did?

Anyhow, its amusing and all can see it ;)

I think it was a good thing that Budman put up as it brings out the need to "test" all things....and he and I talked over the words with respect for each other and it came to a beautiful resolve....:)..( well except for the $100 bucks )

and sometimes it's best to follow this scripture below....

2 Chronicles 20:17 (NASB)
[SUP]17 [/SUP] 'You need not fight in this battle; station yourselves, stand and see the salvation of the LORD on your behalf, O Judah and Jerusalem.' Do not fear or be dismayed; tomorrow go out to face them, for the LORD is with you."

The point you can't seem to understand is that no one should have to be put into such a position of tooting their own horn.... but when they are, we should ALL be there to objectively address things.

Its OK willie, calm down, we all understand that you jumped to grace777 defence so that [in your own words] he would not embarress himself. ..your words not mine.. I don't think grace777 needs you too TOOT his horn for him.

P.s I understand ;) (reread post 28)

Actually, some of his post was verbatim copy/paste from someone's website who does claim to receive directly from the lord. A NAR 'prophet' to be precise.
I receive directly from the Lord EVERY SINGLE DAY

For in him we live, and move, and have our being; as certain also of your own poets have said, For we are also his offspring.
ACTS 17:28

I also am filled with the Holy Spirit and He leads and guides me into the TRUTH

For some of us, that is the NORM!

You can have that too if you like, but God does not force His will on anyone, unlike people

The Lord is not asking us to persist in any circumstance - but to persist in who He is and what He has done for us in the finished work of Christ and who we are now because of the new creation in Christ.

Just so and AMEN!

Amen!

Romans 8:14-15 (NASB)
[SUP]14 [/SUP] For all who are being led by the Spirit of God, these are sons of God.
[SUP]15 [/SUP] For you have not received a spirit of slavery leading to fear again, but you have received a spirit of adoption as sons by which we cry out, "Abba! Father!"

STAY IN PLACE, STAY IN FAITH.
This is an odd phrase because it is so open ended. If you believe it is said to you, you interpret it as God speaking to you.
If you believe it is not said to you, it means nothing. It could be seen as a commendation of a commitment to stay in something you started, and your faith in your action needs to be firm.

Unfortunately it is not a general statement for all christians or for none.
Live in purity, walk in righteousness, honour God in all you do, thus says the Lord.

Now I can show you where in scripture this is said and that it applies to every christian on earth.

This is why I have a problem with half statements, which could be totally wrong, and could completely miss-lead those with a weak conscience or discernment.

Someone needed to hear those words today. Me. I need to stay in place - and stay in faith. If one person received it in a personal way, it is worth the posting. It spoke to me directly related to a situation I'm in.

KJV.Romans4;17-24,17.(As it is written, I have made thee a Father of many nations,) before Him whom He believed, even God, who quickeneth the dead, and calleth those things which be not as though they were.18.Who against hope believed in hope, that He might become the Father of many nations, according to that which was spoken, So shall thy seed be.19.And being not weak in faith, He considered not his own body now dead, when He was about on hundred years old, neither yet the deadness of Sarah's womb.20.He staggered not at the promise of God through unbelief; but was strong in faith, giving glory to God.21.And being fully persuaded that, what He had promised, He was able also to perform.22.And therefore it was imputed to Him for righteousness.23.Now it was not written for his sake along, that it was imputed to Him;24.But for us also, to whom it shall be imputed, if we believe on Him that raised up Jesus our Lord from the dead.If we have the same faith as Abraham had it.We can get everything according our faith. Thanks Lord for this nice gift for His Children. We really feel blessed with that.

These are words of encouragement from the Lord that have come to me over the last 8 months and thought I would share it with the hope that someone will be encouraged today.

Stay positioned. no matter what your natural eyes see. Do not move, even when you have stared impossibilities in the face and they haven't bowed yet. STAY IN PLACE, STAY IN FAITH.

In all the tension, in the mystery, in the stretching, in the disappointment, in the not understanding. STAY IN PLACE...!

The Lord is not asking us to persist in any circumstance - but to persist in who He is and what He has done for us in the finished work of Christ and who we are now because of the new creation in Christ.

Regardless of what our current situation is or what our past experiences may be telling us, God is always doing more then meets the eye. Understanding this powerful truth releases hope and faith in Him and helps us war against hopelessness and depression.

Although God does not cause bad things to happen to His children, ( we can do a pretty good job of that on our own...and we do have a ruthless enemy that comes to steal, kill and destroy us ) The Lord can use any situation that has come to destroy us and create beauty out of any ashes that may have come. He is mighty to save!
1 Corinthians 7:20 Each person should remain in the situation they were in when God called them.
