Just some thoughts to consider please.

I also liked many of PeacefulWarrior's comments/posts. Personally had no problem with him. That being said, there are different ways to do things. Some good, some not such a good idea.

IF one wishes to exit a Public Forum/Site (regardless of the venue), then they should just do so. Why is it necessary to advertise that exit? The only purpose for such an exit is to take an opportunity to criticize the Forum/Site, and/or encourage complimentary statements from other members.

I do not know RoboOp, or any of the Owners, Admin(s), or the Moderators. What I do know is that the Owner(s), Admin(s) and Moderators invest a lot of time, effort, and expense to keep a Public Forum/Site online and running problem free. Often times, with little gratitude or even acknowledgement.

If the average Member actually realized what goes on "behind the scenes" they would have a greater appreciation for the people who work to provide them a Forum/Site to fellowship on. There are numerous attacks that occur every day upon Sites (especially Christian Sites) where the objective is to disrupt and/or shut down the Site. Then there are the Trolls who create a Member Profile and come to the Site to do the same thing. To create problems among the Members, and to gain attention to themselves.

These things have to be identified and the Site/Members protected from. There is nothing FAKE about the work required to keep such a Site as Christian Chat up and running.

I know that people can become upset, sad, disappointed, or even angry by the sometimes less than Christian commentary here on C.C. But, rather than blame the Admin(s), Moderators, blame the folks who are truly responsible. The Members. A Public Forum/Site is ONLY as good as it's Members (regarding the quality of content).

Again, I ask folks to consider, if someone determines (for whatever reason) that they no longer want to be a Member here on C.C. then simply stop posting. As well, they can send a Personal Message to the Admin(s) or one of the Moderators asking them to delete their Account.

I can not state that this is the Police of Christian Chat, but I would think if a Member did this, and had been well regarded during their Membership, and should they (at a later date) decide they would like to rejoin under a new Screen Name or Profile, they would probably be allowed to. Don't take this as POLICY, it is just my opinion. I know when I owned a Site, that I would do this for Members who simply needed a "break" from the Forum/Site.

Anyway, just my thoughts............

or.......just get used to having people reject you. When you put yourself out there it is bound to happen. I see it happen so much where someone feels rejected so they cope with it by pushing people away. Jesus was rejected in every way but still did everything to stay connected.

I'm probably gonna get yelled at by PW, but I don't really care. PW, you left once a few months ago, saying you were sick of all the arguing and bickering that goes on here, particularly in the BDF. Here's a news flash for staying away from all that: avoid the BDF altogether!! How cotton pickin' hard is that?! If you leave again, you won't have accomplished anything. The fighting here ain't gonna stop just because you've left. Employ your iggy button, that's what it's for. Avoid the BDF. Resist the temptation to write snarky replies of your own in response to someone else's post. It's easy to do if you apply yourself. Stop being a coward and running away, and stay and stick it out like the rest of us are. If you run away now, how are you ever gonna stay and fight when the fit hits the shan in the world, regarding Jesus' return??

Each mans perceptions are his reality.

Reality is only for those who are unable to deal with their fantasies.

Christ is real. Salvation is real. Condemnation is real. So get real.

What is with this childish nonsense of having to announce we are leaving, and publically asking that our account be deleted?

Just leave.

Our posts do not get erased, so what are we accomplishing by metaphorically stomping our feet and holding our breath in a little temper tantrum?

Are we so pitifully weak-willed that we crave attention like that? "Everybody look at me!" "I have had my feelings hurt!" "I'm gonna go eat worms." "Feel sorry for me."

If someone pissed you off, and you feel you just have to tell that person off, do so in a PM... and call them everything you have been aching to call them. If they report you, and you get kicked off, so what? Isn't that what you wanted anyway......... someone else taking the responsibility of making sure you don't log onto this site anymore?

I have to admit, I really don't understand this desire for the spot-light of negative attention.

I do. When people leave out of anger it's because of unmet expectations. I endeavor to put zero expectations in others. Why set yourself up for disappointment?

I wasn't just talking about simply leaving. I was asking why we feel a need to make a public display out of it. Frankly, most of the time, few people really care anyway.

Well, on that front, is it too much to ask that people not fight or argue or namecall? I mean, we ARE christians. SOME of us are anyhoo. :/ All the good people who have left here, have done so because they're fed up with the hate and strife running rampant on this site, and they want no part of it so they disconnect themselves from it and leave.

I wasn't disagreeing with you Willie. When I left at the beginning of the year I said goodbye. I wasn't angry or anything. There are some people here that I genuinely like and respect. When people leave the way you stated I was simply saying that they were mad because they had some expectations that weren't met. So out of their feelings of unmet expectations or rejection it is simply a response in kind....you hurt me so I in turn reject you. I'm pretty sure that it's simply that kind of statement.

There are always gonna be people who are unreasonable. If we just accept that and choose to ignore them their power is taken away from them.

That is simply not true, Willie. Many good ones who leave or are banned, are missed greatly by many of us. We are saddened and angered when the good ones get chased off by the bad worms here. Just because YOU might not care if they leave, does not mean that WE don't care, because we do.

It gets you out of here, but it offers less attention.

True, but there are some here who enjoy baiting the trolls, and even each other, and it just degrades from there. If ppl could resist the urge to reply, there wouldn't be so much hate on these forums..

i find the trolls useful at times for me. They give me pause to check myself and practice in controlling my emotions. Also for learning what my boundaries are and how to express them in a healthy way. What I practice here I put into action when I'm standing face to face with adversity.

I will suggest that it is just a little over dramatic to say that CC is fake. I will agree that there are a lot of fake or false Christians on CC but they are everywhere in the world as well.

Those who are openly hostile to Christ, the bible and the body need to be told to leave. Those who have questions should be allowed to stay and learn. If they demonstrate an unwillingness or inability to learn and contribute constructively then there is no reason for them to stay.

I always have mixed emotions over this subject but the good of the whole cannot be sacrificed for the amusement of one.
