Some just refuse to admit that God's promises will hold true...

Deut. 4:27 The LORD will scatter you among the peoples, and you will be reduced to a few survivorsa among the nations where the LORD your God will drive you. 28 There you will worship man-made gods of wood and stone, which cannot see, hear, eat, or smell. 29 But from there, you will search for the LORD your God, and you will find Him when you seek Him with all your heart and all your soul.a 30 When you are in distress and all these things have happened to you, you will return to the LORD your God in later days and obey Him. 31 He will not leave you, destroy you, or forget the covenanta with your fathers that He swore to them by oath, because the LORD your God is a compassionate God.b HCSB

Deut. 30:1“When all these things happen to you — the blessings and curses I have set before you — and you come to your senses while you are in all the nations where the Lord your God has driven you, 2 and you and your children return to the Lord your God and obey Him with all your heart and all your soul by doing everything I am giving you today, 3 then He will restore your fortunes,a have compassion on you, and gather you again from all the peoples where the LORD your God has scattered you.b 4 Even if your exiles are at the ends of the earth,a He will gather you and bring you back from there.b 5 The LORD your God will bring you into the land your fathers possessed, and you will take possession of it.a He will cause you to prosper and multiply you more than He did your fathers.

In that day the remnant of Israel and the survivors of the house of Jacob will no more lean on him who struck them, but will lean on the LORD, the Holy One of Israel, in truth. A remnant will return, the remnant of Jacob, to the mighty God. For though your people Israel be as the sand of the sea, only a remnant of them will return. Destruction is decreed, overflowing with righteousness. For the Lord GOD of hosts will make a full end, as decreed, in the midst of all the earth.
(Isa 10:20-23)

Isa 11:11 On that day the Lord will extend His hand a second time to recover — from Assyria, Egypt, Pathros, Cush, Elam, Shinar, Hamath, and the coasts and islands of the west — the remnant of His people who survive.
12 He will lift up a banner for the nations
and gather the dispersed of Israel;
He will collect the scattered of Judah
from the four corners of the earth.
13 Ephraim’s envy will cease;
Judah’s harassment will end.

Is. 14:1 For the LORD will have compassiona on Jacob and will choose Israel again.b He will settle them on their own land.c The foreigner will join them and be united with the house of Jacob.d 2 The nations will escort Israel and bring it to its homeland. Then the house of Israel will possess them as male and female slaves in the LORD’s land.a They will make captives of their captors and will rule over their oppressors.

?Is.62 (whole chap) I will not keep silent because of Zion,
and I will not keep still because of Jerusalem,
until her righteousness shines like a bright light
and her salvation, like a flaming torch.
Nations will see your righteousness
and all kings, your glory.
You will be called by a new name
that the Lord’s mouth will announce.
You will be a glorious crown in the Lord’s hand,
and a royal diadem in the palm of your God.
You will no longer be called Deserted,
and your land will not be called Desolate;
instead, you will be called My Delight is in Her,
and your land Married;
for the Lord delights in you,
and your land will be married.
For as a young man marries a young woman,
so your sons will marry you;
and as a groom rejoices over his bride,
so your God will rejoice over you.
Jerusalem,
I have appointed watchmen on your walls;
they will never be silent, day or night.
There is no rest for you,
who remind the Lord.
Do not give Him rest
until He establishes and makes Jerusalem
the praise of the earth.
The Lord has sworn with His right hand
and His strong arm:
I will no longer give your grain
to your enemies for food,
and foreigners will not drink your new wine
you have labored for.
For those who gather grain will eat it
and praise the Lord,
and those who harvest the grapes will drink the wine
in My holy courts.
Go out, go out through the gates;
prepare a way for the people!
Build it up, build up the highway;
clear away the stones!
Raise a banner for the peoples.
Look, the Lord has proclaimed
to the ends of the earth,
“Say to Daughter Zion:
Look, your salvation is coming,
His reward is with Him,
and His gifts accompany Him.”
And they will be called the Holy People,
the Lord’s Redeemed;
and you will be called Cared For,
A City Not Deserted.

Jer. 16:14-16 “However, take note! The days are coming”—the LORD’s declaration—“when it will no longer be said, ‘As the LORD lives who brought the Israelites from the land of Egypt,’a 15 but rather, ‘As the LORD lives who brought the Israelites from the land of the northa and from all the other lands where He had banished them.’ For I will return them to their land that I gave to their ancestors.b 16 “I am about to send for many fishermen”a—this is the LORD’s declaration—“and they will fish for them. Then I will send for many hunters, and they will hunt them down on every mountain and hill and out of the clefts of the rocks, HCSB

Jer. 23:3 “I will gather the remnant of My flock from all the lands where I have banished them, and I will return them to their grazing land. They will become fruitful and numerous.a HCSB

For I am with thee, saith the LORD, to save thee: though I make a full end of all nations whither I have scattered thee, yet will I not make a full end of thee: but I will correct thee in measure, and will not leave thee altogether unpunished.
(Jer 30:11)

Jer. 31:10 Hear what the LORD has to say, O nations.
Proclaim it in the faraway lands along the sea.
Say, “The one who scattered Israel will regather them.
He will watch over his people like a shepherd watches over his flock.” NET

Jer. 32:36-42 “Now therefore, this is what the Lord, the God of Israel, says to this city about which you said, ‘It has been handed over to Babylon’s king through sword, famine, and plague’: I am about to gather them from all the lands where I have banished them in My anger, rage and great wrath, and I will return them to this place and make them live in safety. They will be My people, and I will be their God. I will give them one heart and one way so that for their good and for the good of their descendants after them, they will fear Me always.
“I will make an everlasting covenant with them: I will never turn away from doing good to them, and I will put fear of Me in their hearts so they will never again turn away from Me. I will take delight in them to do what is good for them, and with all My heart and mind I will faithfully plant them in this land.
“For this is what the Lord says: Just as I have brought all this great disaster on these people, so am I about to bring on them all the good I am promising them. Fields will be bought in this land about which you are saying, ‘It’s a desolation without man or beast; it has been handed over to the Chaldeans!’ Fields will be purchased with silver, the transaction written on a scroll and sealed, and witnesses will be called on in the land of Benjamin, in the areas surrounding Jerusalem, and in Judah’s cities — the cities of the hill country, the cities of the Judean foothills, and the cities of the Negev — because I will restore their fortunes.”
This is the Lord’s declaration.

Jer. 46:27 But you, My servant Jacob, do not be afraid,a
and do not be discouraged, Israel,
for without fail I will save you from far away
and your descendants, from the land of their captivity!
Jacob will return and have calm and quiet
with no one to frighten him.
28 And you, My servant Jacob, do not be afraid—
this is the LORD’s declaration—
for I will be with you.a
I will bring destruction on all the nations
where I have banished you,
but I will not bring destruction on you.
I will discipline you with justice,
and I will by no means leave you unpunished.b HCSB

And again...

Ezek. 11:14-17 The word of the LORD came to me again: 15 “Son of man, your own relatives, those who have the right to redeem you,a,b and the entire house of Israel, all of them, are those that the residents of Jerusalem have said this to, ‘Stay away from the LORD; this land has been given to us as a possession.’
“Therefore say: This is what the Lord GOD says: Though I sent them far away among the nations and scattered them among the countries, yet for a little while I have been a sanctuary for thema in the countries where they have gone.
“Therefore say: This is what the Lord GOD says: I will gather you from the peoplesa and assemble you from the countries where you have been scattered, and I will give you the land of Israel. HCSB

Ezek. 28:24-25 “The house of Israel will no longer be hurt bya prickly briers or painful thornsb from all their neighbors who treat them with contempt. Then they will know that I am the Lord Yahweh.
“‘This is what the sovereign LORD says: When I regather the house of Israel from the peoples where they are dispersed, I will reveal my sovereign power32 over them in the sight of the nations, and they will live in their land that I gave to my servant Jacob. NET

Ezek. 34:11-17 “For this is what the Lord GOD says: See, I Myself will search for My flock and look for them. 12 As a shepherd looks for his sheep on the day he is among his scattered flock, so I will look for My flock. I will rescue them from all the places where they have been scattereda on a cloudy and dark day. 13 I will bring them out from the peoples, gather them from the countries, and bring them into their own land. I will shepherd them on the mountains of Israel, in the ravines, and in all the inhabited places of the land. 14 I will tend them with good pasture, and their grazing place will be on Israel’s lofty mountains. There they will lie down in a good grazing place; they will feed in rich pasture on the mountains of Israel. 15 I will tend My flock and let them lie down.”a This is the declaration of the Lord GOD. 16 “I will seek the lost,a bring back the strays, bandage the injured,b and strengthen the weak, but I will destroyc the fat and the strong. I will shepherd them with justice.
“The Lord GOD says to you, My flock: I am going to judge between one sheep and another, between the rams and male goats.a

Ezek. 36:16 The word of the LORD came to me: 17 “Son of man, while the house of Israel lived in their land, they defiled it with their conduct and actions.a Their behavior before Me was like menstrual impurity.b 18 So I poured out My wratha on them because of the blood they had shed on the land, and because they had defiled it with their idols. 19 I dispersed them among the nations, and they were scattered among the countries.a I judged them according to their conduct and actions.b 20 When they came to the nations where they went, they profaned My holy name,a because it was said about them, ‘These are the people of Yahweh, yet they had to leave His land in exile.’ 21 Then I had concern for My holy name,a which the house of Israel profaned among the nations where they went. HCSB

Ezek. 36:22 “Therefore, say to the house of Israel: This is what the Lord GOD says: It is not for your sake that I will act,a house of Israel, but for My holy name,b which you profaned among the nations where you went. 23 I will honor the holiness of My great name, which has been profaned among the nations—the name you have profaned among them. The nations will know that I am Yahweh”—the declaration of the Lord GOD—“when I demonstrate My holiness through you in their sight.a HCSB

Ezek. 36:24 “For I will take you from the nations and gather you from all the countries, and will bring you into your own land.a

Ezek. 37:21 tell them: This is what the Lord GOD says: I am going to take the Israelites out of the nations where they have gone.a I will gather them from all around and bring them into their own land. 22 I will make them one nation in the land,a on the mountains of Israel, and one king will rule over all of them.b They will no longer be two nations and will no longer be divided into two kingdoms. 23 They will not defile themselves anymore with their idols,a their detestable things, and all their transgressions.b I will save them from all their apostasies by whichc they sinned,d and I will cleanse them. Then they will be My people, and I will be their God.e

Ezek. 38:8 After a long time you will be summoned. In the last years you will enter a land that has been restored from wara and regathered from many peoples to the mountains of Israel, which had long been a ruin.b They were brought out from the peoples, and all of them now live securely. HCSB

Hos. 1:10 aYet the number of the Israelites

Their King will pass through before them,

Zech. 12:6 On that day I will make the leaders of Judah like a firepot in a woodpile, like a flaming torch among sheaves; they will consume all the peoples around them on the right and the left, while Jerusalem continues to be inhabited on its site, in Jerusalem. 7 The LORD will save the tents of Judah first, so that the glory of David’s house and the glory of Jerusalem’s residents may not be greater than that of Judah. 8 On that day the LORD will defend the inhabitants of Jerusalem, so that on that day the one who is weakest among them will be like David on that day, and the house of David will be like God, like the Angel of the LORD, before them. 9 On that day I will set out to destroy all the nations that come against Jerusalem.
10 “Then I will pour out a spirita,b of grace and prayer on the house of David and the residents of Jerusalem, and they will look atc Me whom they pierced. They will mourn for Him as one mourns for an only child and weep bitterly for Him as one weeps for a firstborn.d 11 On that day the mourning in Jerusalem will be as great as the mourning of Hadad-rimmon in the plain of Megiddo. 12 The land will mourn, every family by itself: the family of David’s house by itself and their women by themselves; the family of Nathan’sa,b house by itself and their women by themselves; 13 the family of Levi’s house by itself and their women by themselves; the family of Shimeia,b by itself and their women by themselves; 14 all the remaining families, every family by itself, and their women by themselves. Amen! His Abrahamic promises are to these classes of Jews:
1) Those who believed in God prior to Christ's coming. All unbelievers perished.

2) Those remaining in the end-time prophecies who have not believed in Christ but have believed in God (Jhn 14:1), who will believe in Christ after seeing Him, but will not be a part of the "blessed" (Jhn 20:29), who believed prior to seeing Him, which is the third class (Church--Christian Jews and Gentiles).

I believe it is a literal 1000 years.
Why do you question it? What is your basis for questioning the Word?
Because Scripture regularly uses a 1000 to mean a large number which is not specific. Thus the cattle on a thousand hills, a thousand generations, etc. It is doubtful if 1000 is used in Scripture literally except in measurements,

Note: Much of this article is still speculative with me and my hope in sharing it is that there might be more truth brought out concerning it. It is my belief that God has never “broken off” His union with Israel, just His fellowship, which will be reestablished during the final coming of the Lord Jesus.

Israel’s Final Restoration

One of the most important Biblical doctrines which has not been recovered, even within the Reformation is that which has to do with the dispensation of God’s people Israel. Scripture-obscurity is often the cause of misunderstanding various truths but nevertheless, God eventually reveals them to the persistent searcher.

Due to promises concerning Abraham’s grandson Israel (Jacob), God is going to “put My Spirit within you, and cause you to walk in my statutes, and ye shall keep my judgments, and do them” (Eze 36:27). It’s clear this prophecy relates directly to the lineage of Abraham by language such as “For I will take you from among the heathen, and gather you out of all countries, and will bring you into your own land” (v 24), which has been transpiring since the time of Israel’s rebirth as a nation in 1948.

It has yet to be seen concerning Eze 36:27, along with its companion-prophecy of Jer 31:31-33 which speaks of undeniable Jewish blood posterity concerning another but final law covenant “with the house of Israel” (v 33). The present position of Israel attests to the fact that these and all related prophecies (except the beginning of their present return to their land) are futuristic, and the Jews whom God will covenant with will be those who are still alive at Christ’s coming.

Those within the prior dispensation who believed (trusted) in God from Adam to Christ are in Heaven, but those who did not believe have perished (Heb 11:31). In the present dispensation since Christ’s coming, all who do not believe in Him perish, for they are “condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God” (John 3:18).

I consider dispensations as periods which have existed in the present life on the old earth, e.g. earthly dispensations, thus, in my opinion the final dispensation is from the initial transpiration of the occurrences within the prophecies of Revelation until the removal of the present old earth. I believe it is during this time period—and principally within the Millennium (Rev 20:4)—where most of the obscurities concerning Israel’s end-time prophecies exist and will then become clear.

My understanding is that it is during the Millennium (thousand years on this old earth) when God will bring to pass Israel’s end-time Scriptural prophecies and declarations, i.e. Eze/Jer, Luke 22:29, 30, etc. I strongly suspect that the remaining nation of Israel who will be alive at this time will not enter into these prophecies until they see the Lord Jesus at His return.

None of the Apostles and disciples were familiar enough with the concept concerning His resurrection to believe in it, that's why they couldn't believe in it until they saw Him (John 20:9, 20), even though this was foretold within the analogies of the OT sacrificial ordinances of the Law, and hinted of by Christ. I believe there is much instruction from what Jesus said, that “because you have seen Me, you have believed. Blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed.”

The learning here is contained within the word “blessed,” which I believe designs the intention of a greater glory and position for those who learn to believe on Christ’s resurrection—after His ascension—in order that faith in His resurrection cannot be derived from physical proof. I also do not think the fact of Christ’s resurrection was intended to be clear enough to His followers to attribute fault as to their being dull of hearing concerning His resurrection, which shows me that God did not want to reveal this until ‘ex post facto’, e.g. after He was raised.

It must be realized that though the post-ascension believers did not have the opportunity to see the Lord Jesus in His resurrected body, they do have the advantage of the Spirit of God “confirming” (Rom 8:16; 1John 5:6) everything to them in their faith (which the disciples did not have until after His ascension). The remaining nation of Israel who believe in God but not in His Son (John 14:1) will be the recipients of God putting His “Spirit within you, and cause you to walk in My statutes, and you shall keep My judgments, and do them” (Eze 36:27), which will finally bring them to faith in Christ, but the “blessing” of son-ship will not be known among them, only the position of being “people of God” (Jer 32:38-40; Heb 8:10).

This is unlike the position of son-ship and people of God for all who believe in Christ prior to His final return (Rom 9:24-26). He will be seen in the capacity of vengeance (Rev 19:16) but His final glory, which will bring again God’s fellowship with Israel forever will not occur until His final appearing at the “first resurrection.”

Dispensationalism is a Doctrine invented by Cyrus Scofield. The bible has only two dispensations, it talks of this Age and the age to come. All who believe in Christ are part of Spiritual Israel. Today many who have settled in Israel are secularists and in the world at large some Jews are Atheists ,Buddhists and people of all sorts of persuasions. How could they possibly all be part of Gods kingdom when they reject both the Father and Son? The church is a continuation of Gods
purpose. He chose Israel to be a light to the nations. This was fulfilled through Christ and his apostles who were all Jews.
The idea that the Church was put in place because the Jews rejected Jesus and God is now turning his attention back to them again is a fallacy. The members of the early church were mainly Jewish. The leaders of the Jerusalem Church were all Jewish up until 70AD when Jews were banned from Jerusalem.

This devalues the Gospel and makes a mockery of the death of Christ,
Salvation to Hebrew and Jewish believers prior to Christ was evidenced by their obedience to God and their faith in His word (Rom 4:3), and for those under Law, faith in His word concerning sacrificial ordinances (Num 15), which were analogies to Christ's coming, of which analogies I'm certain many were not aware or understood.

Since Christ's coming, salvation comes only in Christ, thus the unbelieving Jews who die since Christ and prior to His final appearance, perish. But my suspicion is that the Jews still alive at Christ's coming are the subject of interest concerning the Eze/Jer prophecies.

very true :) the early church was widely Jewish. Israel's final restoration will be found in our glory in the New spiritual earth., as we experience the unveiled glory of God Rev 21-22

You use as a proof text...

Jesus saith unto him, Thomas, because thou hast seen me, thou hast believed: blessed are they that have not seen, and yet have believed.
(Joh 20:29)

But I would offer you...

Jesus saith unto him, Have I been so long time with you, and yet hast thou not known me, Philip? he that hath seen me hath seen the Father; and how sayest thou then, Shew us the Father?
(Joh 14:9)

Those Jews that believed God also received Jesus as their Messiah...you can't believe in only one.

Hi Tan - I get most of my learning from traditional Bible commentators, for example, those who believe that sacrificial ordinances will be reinstated are mistaken. They misunderstand, for example, the sacrifices mentioned in Isa 56:7 are not literal but are in reference to Christian works of the Spirit, for God will never allow again sacrificial practices of animals and burnt offerings (Heb 10:8).

This is the result of many who do not use good Bible commentators, who mostly agree on everything.

The restoration of Israel?! How can you not read that and understand it supports the view of the restoration of the Jews?!? You need to read it again.
There is no restoration of Israel (like some massive conversion to Christianity in the last days), no reign of Christ from Jerusalem and no 1000 years era of pro-Israel national world-kingdom in the text.

I wonder where do you see that in the text you posted.

Throughout the Jewish lineage most believe in God, hence Jesus' statement, "You believe in God, believe also in Me" (Jhn 14:1).

There is no restoration of Israel (like some massive conversion to Christianity in the last days)
The Millennium Jews who have not died yet will inherit the Eze/Jer prophecies, which involves law, but "Not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day that I took them by the hand to bring them out of the land of Egypt; which my covenant they brake, although I was an husband unto them, saith the LORD" (Jer 31:32).

This is not the grace covenant of the believing Jew and Gentile, but nonetheless, God's promise of their inheriting the new earth. I understand that the concepts I'm presenting are ludicrous to many, but time will tell.

Great topic. From my understanding in Matthew 27:24-26 the Jews declared the Blood of JESUS CHRIST be upon them and their children speaking of generations. Now these Jews did not believe that JESUS is the MESSIAH. In order for Israel/Jews to be restored they must first Repent as a nation. GOD is a forgiven GOD and HIS Word says we all must Repent of our sins meaning turn from our wicked way of thinking and living. Some Jews have Repented and are now Christians. As a nation they are still under the law because they have not accepted JESUS as MESSIAH.

In Revelation 7:4-14 These are the Jews/Israel who have come out of the Great Tribulation and claim JESUS as their MESSIAH.

All throughout the Bible it teaches us that GOD made a Covenant with Jews in which GOD by Jacob named Israel. These people have sinned against GOD as well as have been restored by GOD. When they spoke on taking the penalty and having JESUS CHRIST BLOOD on their hands as well as on their children it took on a whole new meaning of sin. JESUS CHRIST has gave HIS BODY that we all may obtain Salvation.

This lets us know it is more than just sin it is the Jews/Israel not having a SAVIOR! Breaking the Covenant GOD made with them. Thus they must suffer a more consequence they must Repent and also go through the Great Tribulation to inherit the Kingdom of GOD.

Also, read Ezekiel chapter 2 13, 33 and 38. All of Ezekiel is worth reading/studying for a greater understanding.

Blessings!!!!!!!

Salvation to Hebrew and Jewish believers prior to Christ was evidenced by their obedience to God and their faith in His word (Rom 4:3), and for those under Law, faith in His word concerning sacrificial ordinances (Num 15), which were analogies to Christ's coming, of which analogies I'm certain many were not aware or understood.
salvation was by faith and imputed righteousness. Abraham believed God and it was counted to him for righteousness (Gen 15.5). There was never any other way of salvation. That is the way that the elect took. And that is how they were saved, belief in GOD. All the rest were helps once they had been saved. Christ died 'for sins done aforetime'(Rom 3.25-26).

Since Christ's coming, salvation comes only in Christ, thus the unbelieving Jews who die since Christ and prior to His final appearance, perish. But my suspicion is that the Jews still alive at Christ's coming are the subject of interest concerning the Eze/Jer prophecies.
Salvation has only ever come through Christ even for those who saw dimly. any other way of salvation is doomed to fail.

the great tribulation of the Jews is nearly ended. It began on 70 ad and has continued through the centuries. their only hope is to turn to Christ for salvation, as always.

I repeat. they make a mockery of the Gospel.

I believe the Jews who are alive during the Millennium are the ones who inherit the Eze/Jer prophecies, i.e. God putting His Spirit in them and causing them to walk in another law covenant, but "Not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day that I took them by the hand to bring them out of the land of Egypt; which my covenant they brake, although I was an husband unto them, saith the LORD" (Jer 31:32).

This "new covenant" for them will derive from Christ's "blood covenant," as all covenants do, but it will not be in Christ as the believing Jew and Gentile will be. I believe they will inherit the new earth and we (believing Jew/Gentile) the new heaven.

Blessings to you too!
