James 1:21 Therefore, get rid of all moral filth and the evil that is so prevalent and humbly accept the word planted in you, which can save you.

Heb 2:11 For both he that sanctifieth and they who are sanctified are all of one: for which cause he is not ashamed to call them brethren

Heb 4:4 That every one of you should know how to possess his vessel in sanctification and honour;

“Simon, Simon, Satan has asked to sift each of you like wheat. But I have pleaded in prayer for you, Simon, that your faith should not fail. So when you have repented and turned to me again, strengthen your brothers.”
Luke 22:31*-‬32

matthew 13:24-29 Jesus told them another parable: “The kingdom of heaven is like a man who sowed good seed in his field. But while everyone was sleeping, his enemy came and sowed weeds among the wheat, and went away. When the wheat sprouted and formed heads, then the weeds also appeared.
“The owner’s servants came to him and said, ‘Sir, didn’t you sow good seed in your field? Where then did the weeds come from?’
“ ‘An enemy did this,’ he replied.
“The servants asked him, ‘Do you want us to go and pull them up?’
“ ‘No,’ he answered, ‘because while you are pulling the weeds, you may uproot the wheat with them. Let both grow together until the harvest. At that time I will tell the harvesters: First collect the weeds and tie them in bundles to be burned; then gather the wheat and bring it into my barn.’ ”

As Peter says, as such

1Peter 1:5 Who are kept by the power of God through faith
unto salvation ready to be revealed in the last time.

Who is now strengthening the brethren

1Peter 1:6 Wherein ye greatly rejoice, though now for a season,
if need be, ye are in heaviness through manifold temptations:

1Peter 1:7 That the trial of your faith, being much more precious than of gold
that perisheth, though it be tried with fire, might be found unto praise and honour and glory at the appearing of Jesus Christ:

matthew 13:36-43 "Then he left the crowd and went into the house. His disciples came to him and said, “Explain to us the parable of the weeds in the field.”
He answered, “The one who sowed the good seed is the Son of Man. The field is the world, and the good seed stands for the people of the kingdom. The weeds are the people of the evil one, and the enemy who sows them is the devil. The harvest is the end of the age, and the harvesters are angels.
“As the weeds are pulled up and burned in the fire, so it will be at the end of the age. The Son of Man will send out his angels, and they will weed out of his kingdom everything that causes sin and all who do evil. They will throw them into the blazing furnace, where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth. Then the righteous will shine like the sun in the kingdom of their Father. Whoever has ears, let them hear.

matthew 3:11 "I baptize you with water for repentance. But after me comes one who is more powerful than I, whose sandals I am not worthy to carry. He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and fire.

Mark 1:10 And straightway coming up out of the water, he saw the heavens opened, and the Spirit like a dove descending upon him:

Mat 4:1 Then was Jesus led up of the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted of the devil.

Jesus is a "tried stone", also says,

Zach 13:9 I will bring the third part through the fire, and will refine them as silver is refined, and will try them as gold is tried:

Satan needs permission to sift, Jesus prays for Simon's faith, this pertains to the trying of ours

James 1:3 Knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience.

And tribulation worketh patience, the same come to Job

Job 10:23 But he knoweth the way that I take: when he hath tried me, I shall come forth as gold.

Jobs patience is what we are to behold

James 5:11 Behold, we count them happy which endure. Ye have heard of the patience of Job, and have seen the end of the Lord; that the Lord is very pitiful, and of tender mercy.

And for ourselves

James 4:1 But let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing.

He didn't build it on Peter, he built it on Himself. This is a big misnomer among the church. Jesus is the rock and the true foundation.

bro, I'm not trying to be rude or anything, please don't be offended. but I'm trying really hard to keep opinions and personal views out of the thread as much as possible. again and from my heart this is not to offend you. opinions are the cause of arguments. this one particular thread, I'm hoping will be respected as a scripture thread, and limited to blessings, and expressions of peace and brotherly love in the spirit of Gods word. you are welcome to state opinions on any opther thread I post. a third time, please don't take offense
