I am 13, severely depressed, and I have depression with phsycotic features. I have been sexually assulted, and I have complicated family problems. My father abused me. I recently just overcame lung cancer, pneumonia, pleurisy, and a swollen throat. I am not the person with the strongest faith, so many doubts go through my mind but I have been trying to grow in faith.

Sometimes doubts are just growing pains for your faith. Don't fear doubt. Doubt can be a loss of faith, or a strengthening, depending on how you handle it. Thomas doubted Jesus resurrection. Jesus didn't condemn him for his doubt, but said he was still blessed despite it.

I try not to fear doubt but I am very scared of losing myou faith. But, I honestly did not see doubt like you explained it till now... thank you. ..

I have read this post and the other one about your dysfunctional family. Like your screen name, these are temporary circumstances. I'm glad that you are trying to grow in faith despite all of the hardship you have endured. I pray that you get placed into a loving foster family and get adequate medical treatment and counseling. Glad to have you join our family. Welcome to CC.

Awe Love and prayers. Sometimes the people that we are given to in this world to care for us well dont. That being sad you have a father in heaven that will never hurt you, let you down, or leave you. Now you have have a new big sister if you want one. My name is Amanda. I have a son about your age. One of the most amazing things about God is the family of believers He gives us. We may sometimes disagree on the small things but I think you will find like with most families when things are hard we all come together and rally. I am so sorry you have been sick and will pray for you. Love and Prayers

Thank you so much!!! Your message made my day!! I have recognized that I have a wonderful Father in heaven who will never hurt me, let me down or leave me. And I am eternally grateful for that blessing! I would love to have a new big sister!! :) My name is Natania (my pastor named me). About me being sick; it has been difficult of course, this year I was in the hospital for 4 months and 13 days, but I was blessed with the strength to overcome all that was put in front of me and I'm still alive and doing well :) :)

Dear Natania, Please don't be discouraged and don't let the enemy trick yoh into thinking that you don't have faith.

At 13, you've shown more faith than I have in my whole life, and many ppl would have given up or be contemplating it, no matter their age.

Just being here and being honest and trusting the Lord and us is a great inspiration and shows a tremendous amount of faith.

Try to remember that Jesus loves you SO much that He gave His life for us and adopted us into His family, and no one, NO ONE can ever take that away, He loves you with an everlasting love! :)

Also remember that our faith to believe in Him is also a gift from Him, and it's not about how hard we can muster up the strength to believe, but to rest in His finished work upon the cross and rejoice at the empty tomb as proof that our redeemer lives and will one day bring us home to be with Him for all eternity.

So fear not, and if that enemy tries to get you to doubt and think bad things about Jesus and salvation, you remind him that we believers are ALL adopted by God, He's our Everlasting Father who loves us and will never, ever leave us, and we have a pretty big family too, and Jesus is setting up His Kingdom for us, so you tell that enemy he better get his hands off! :D

Father in heaven, thank you Lord for Natania. Please continue to bless and strengthen her in Jesus' name and glory. Amen! \:D/

Hello ... Welcome to CC
I have cancer too (Leukemia) and having chemo here at the hospital I ve been sick for almost 2yrs already had pneumonia , sepsi (Wrong Blood Transfusion) , severe sorethroat and bloating of my whole body . We've been transferring to diff hospitals in the Philippines and now I m here in Dubai and soon will go for Bone marrow transplant in Texas . We are financial unstable .. My Mom is a single parent all the expenses and money we received to those ppl who care for us and understand our situations . It is because I have Faith in the Lord .. Jesus will Heal me as what He did in the Bible His Blood covered me so up to now I am still alive and Strongly fighting to my cancer . I share this to you bec I want you to know that despites of all the bad things happened to you . God is ib control . Have Faith in Him . Seek Him and May You found friends here including me . God Bless
