"Five men are testifying on women's health" - N. Pelosi. Nancy...7 men were in the majority in Roe vs Wade. Let's hear ya complain about that.

shutting down government over funding of Planned Parenthood If you're not in favor of paying for abortions on demand and paying for women's contraception, you're anti-woman.

Opposing access to insurance for birth control If you aren't in favor of essentially free birth control for women, you're anti-woman. Never mind the stuff is $15 a month and condoms are $1. Never mind that I wouldn't favor viagra for men, either...which I guess makes me anti-men? How 'bout that...I'm an anti-men man.

The left's "war on women"...if you oppose paying for abortion and/or contraception demand, you're a part of the war on women and anti-woman.

I've always heard lots about the big apple,
So I thought I'd come up here and see,
But all I've seen so far is one big hassle,
Wish I was camped out on the Okeechobee.

Oh, so your glasses weren't big enough and they led you in the wrong direction [ha ha].

Well Friend, that's your loss.

For Brooklyn is God's Country!

Well, at least that's what the caption reads.

After all, Brooklyn is what made baseball famous, has the world's best and most diverse foods, has some of the finest public parks in the USA, has Coney Island, has produced more boxing champs any other city, and more songs have been written about it than just about any other part of the USA.

Yaaaaaay Brooklyn!

There sure is a war on women and on men from the devil.

*if My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land.15*Now My eyes will be open and My ears attentive to prayer*made*in this place.

You really need to tell the whole story about Ms. Sanger and her connection to the Eugenics Movement in America, and of those involved in that Movement. Were there Republicans? Sure. Where only Republicans involved? Yeah, not so much.

It's these kind of posts here that really bother me. Doesn't matter who they are for or against, what they are pushing or decrying............when they misrepresent the REAL TRUTH, the WHOLE TRUTH, they are not worthy of being posted, much less considered food for thought.

Your suggestion that there would be no Planned Parenthood today without Republican financing is not true.

I detest what Ms. Sanger stood for, attempted to accomplish, and those (all of those) who supported her in her efforts. But please do not try and paint this as a Republican sin.

I continue to search for Honesty, Integrity and Truth in Service. Whether that Service be to God, or to the American peoples, and I am not finding much to celebrate. It is sorely lacking when the subject of Politics is discussed, and, yes, that includes here on CC.

General Info on Planned Parenthood

Link: Planned Parenthood - Wikipedia, the free...

EXCERPTS:

Planned Parenthood Federation of America (PPFA), or Planned Parenthood, is anonprofit organization that provides reproductive health services in the United States and internationally. A member association of the International Planned Parenthood Federation(IPPF), PPFA has its roots in Brooklyn, New York, where Margaret Sanger opened the firstbirth control clinic in the U.S. in 1916. In 1921, Sanger founded the American Birth Control League,[SUP][4][/SUP] which changed its name to Planned Parenthood in 1942. Planned Parenthood is made up of 159 medical and non-medical affiliates, which operate more than 650 health clinics in the United States, and it also partners with organizations in 12 countries globally.[SUP][2][/SUP][SUP][3][/SUP] The organization directly provides a variety of reproductive health services andsexual education, contributes to research in reproductive technology, and does advocacy work aimed at protecting and expanding reproductive rights.[SUP][3]

Margaret Sanger Awards

Main article: Margaret Sanger Awards
In 1966 PPFA began awarding the Margaret Sanger Award annually to honor, in their words, "individuals of distinction in recognition of excellence and leadership in furthering reproductive health and reproductive rights". In the first year, it was awarded to four men, Carl G. Hartman, William H. Draper, Lyndon Baines Johnson, and Martin Luther King, Jr.[SUP][35][/SUP][SUP][36][/SUP][SUP][37][/SUP][SUP][38][/SUP] Later recipients have included John D. Rockefeller III, Katharine Hepburn, Jane Fonda, Hillary Clinton, and Ted Turner.[SUP][39][/SUP][SUP][40][/SUP][SUP][41]

Donors to Planned Parenthood have included the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, the Buffett Foundation, the Ford Foundation, theTurner Foundation, the Cullmans, and others.[SUP][85][/SUP][SUP][86][/SUP][SUP][87][/SUP][SUP][88][/SUP] The Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation's contributions to the organization have been specifically marked to avoid funding abortions.[SUP][85][/SUP] Some donors, such as the Buffett Foundation, have supported reproductive health that can include abortion services.[SUP][85][/SUP] Pro-life groups have advocated the boycott of donors to Planned Parenthood.[SUP][89][/SUP] Corporate donors include CREDO Mobile.[SUP][90]

[/SUP][/SUP]
[h=3]Political spending[/h]Planned Parenthood spends money on politics and elections through the Planned Parenthood Action Fund (its federal political action committee), through its Super PAC, and through a variety of related 501(c)(4) entities.[SUP][110][/SUP] Planned Parenthood endorsed Barack Obamain the 2008 and 2012 presidential elections.[SUP][111][/SUP][SUP][112][/SUP] In the 2014 election cycle, Planned Parenthood spent US$6,587,100 on contributions to candidates and political parties (overwhelmingly to Democrats) and on independent expenditures.[SUP][110][/SUP][SUP][113][/SUP]

When considering Planned Parenthood and Republican involvement.....such as Nixon's signing of Title X, it is important to understand that this was PRIOR to Roe v. Wade being decided by the Supreme Court.

The Roe v. Wade decision changed forever the discussion of abortion rights in America, and the support/opposition to Legalized Abortion.

Info on Roe v. Wade can be found here:

Roe v. Wade - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

This entire debate is a very complex series of actions/suits and ideologies/beliefs that can not be dismissed (from a Legal point) with a simple declaration such as was posted about Ms. Sanger and her supporters.

Margaret Sanger and Eugenics:

Margaret Sanger and the eugenics movement – The Denver Post

EXCERPT:

Now, nearly all Downs Syndrome babies are terminated before they are born, as part of a public policy by the U.S. Supreme Court laid down in Roe and reiterated again and again. Pro-life leader Alveda King, niece of Martin Luther King, Jr. writes, “Abortion and racism stem from the same poisonous root, selfishness.”
Largely, the eugenics/population control movement has been powered by huge trusts with billions of dollars in global assets. As investment vehicles, they likely receive income from corporations engaged in a global distribution of birth control pills, IUDs, patches, injections and so forth. If so, their capital holdings, dividends and bonuses are gilded by U.S. taxpayer funding for the system of product distribution, funding appropriated as a quid pro quo from politicians grateful for the campaign donations. Money talks. Blood money.

This is a forum, not part of a history curriculum. In the past I have researched this matter quite extensively because of my background as a pro lifer and promoter of the movement. Sanger's role in this genocide is no secret. But what has remained a "secret" for those too closed minded and too lacking in the honesty to admit it, is the role played by Republicans in the genocide.

But just to prove a point you may venture here:

https://www.google.com/webhp?source...TF-8#q=rockefeller financed eugenics movement

If you were a member of the pro life movement at any time in your life these writings would not serve as a new revelation to you. They are well established and have been so for a long time. You can easily find more online information on the genocidal Bush and Gamble without whom Planned Parenthood would not have existed. Significantly, the pro life Catholic Worker(s), Dorothy Day, and others associated with this ultra liberal movement were unjustly accused of being communist, subversive, and unamerican:

Dorothy Day's Pro-Life Memories

Here's more:

''The pro-life movement that we have always labeled ‘conservative’ was at one time much more deeply rooted in the liberal rights-based values than we might have suspected ... for the most part, the public rhetoric of the movement tended to be grounded in liberalism as seen through a mid-20th century Catholic lens,” Williams said. “It’s New Deal, Great Society liberalism.””''

http://www.theatlantic.com/politics/archive/2016/02/daniel-williams-defenders-unborn/435369/

While it is fashionable and politically correct to blame abortions on liberals and to praise the pro life movement as conservative in origin, it is actually the precise opposite that is historically true.

Rather than have me spoon feed you these truths, it is time for conservatives to desist in their illusions and to realize that the truth, more often than not, is usually the opposite of the myths they live by. It is time to stop the nonsensical blame game of blame liberals! blame Democrats! blame feminists! for problems such as this in our society.
For those of you who claim to be genuine Christians of integrity, it is time for you to fess up and admit that this is one issue where the blame properly belongs upon Republicans and conservatives. All the historical evidence to prove that fact is readily available.
