You make a good point. However, I am not sure you are aware that the questions being asked had nothing to do with praising/worshiping God.
They had to do with "proving" God is Real, and that His Holy Word is infallible. To entertain the first of these questions is to "validate" that there exists a possibility that God is not real. This is not exactly a question that should be acceptable to fellow believers in Christ in my opinion. Especially on a Christian Web Site. What it does do is open the door to contentious debates/confusion, and divisions withing His Church. I do not think it is wrong for the Church to look unkindly towards such a question/discussion.
Given that there is nowhere in Scripture (that I am aware of........if there is please post said Scripture(s) ) where God commands us to "go forth and prove to the world that I am real. Do not use my words, or my creation to do this."
Not a single Scripture I can find that says we are to "go forth into all the World and prove that My Word, the Holy Bible is My infallible Word. You can not use any of my Word to do so."
As I said........if there are Scriptures instructing the Church to do these things........well, then, the questions would be relevant, and worth discussion. However, as there are not any Scriptures, the questions posed in the two Threads are nothing more than a way to create discord withing His Church in my opinion.
If you are fine with that, then that's ok. To each his own. I was simply expressing my personal opinion, just as with the one about murdering ones child if God asked someone to. Odd how some here forgot to note that I had problems with that Thread huh?
