Hello guys

I am looking for some decent vitamin and mineral supplements, For myself and also I want to take care of my family. At this time some of my family members are in real need of some, and I dont know where to start really. I have researched some but they seem to have preservatives that are harmful or coatings that are. So i am very much interested in finding Organic vitamin and mineral supplements that are on the market that are safe and have plenty of good things in them !
I myself eat or try to eat a balanced diet but sometimes alittle extra is good. I want to be able to help my family as they dont have alot of money to buy these. And some dont have a clue about what they are eating so I want to try to educate not patronise them however, on healthy eating and the kinds of natural foods and supplments they can implement into their lives for clearer minds and bodies so they themselves in turn can help others. please can anyone help me out?! thankyou very much

I went through a lot of reading and trial and error before I found great quality supplements. I am significantly anti medication, as I equate it to poison that ultimately alters your brain and shortens your life. To my knowledge supplement companies can give their products any name they like and they're not mandated in any sense to actually have particular consistent ingredients with the chosen label description. After a few years I found 1) invitehealth and 2) integrated therapeutics. Neither of which are sold in my country unfortunately, so I have to get them flown from New York to LA and then to Australia, but it's definitely worth it. At invitehealth you can email them for advice before you purchase anything and they'll make suggestions. Hope you find something that works for you like I did for myself.

Hey you have come to the right Guy or I cam to you LOL. I workout and take a daily portion of Vitamins and other supplements. I work out daily and maintain good health and I understand about fining the right supplements that are clean natural and healthy. Since you said you want something that will not break the bank. You do not need to spend a boat load of money on supplements. You don't need name brand.

Liquid is best either in Gel, Liquid or tablet. Or Just straight Liquid. One thing with tablets and Gel tabs your never, no matter the brand are going to get away from the coating. The brand that I have used for years is "NOW Foods". The nice thing about now foods , is they have Vegetarian, Gel, Liquid, and tablet forms of the multi - vitamins and and A-Z minerals if you need a certain mineral. A lot of nutritionist even recomend NOW Foods. Reason I stress liquid or Gel tablets is because your body absorbs liquid easier. Its not as hard on your liver as it filters the mineral while in a liquid form.

1. NOW Foods - Adam Multi Vitamin

2. SAMe400 - by "Jarrow Formula" This stuff simply works! It helps with your brain function. Look into it.

3. Now Foods - Fish Oil or Flax Seed Oil.

4. Now Foods - "Cats Claw". This is probably one of the oldest natural immunity support boosters in the world. It can clear up a lot of aliments. South Americans claim that it has cured cancer. Don't take my word for it , research it.

5. Water - This is in abundance. Are you getting enough water per body weight daily. You will be surprised that your not getting enough water. You may be dehydrated.

4. Protein - Before you pick up a bottle of protein powder. Understand how to use it. Its not something you use to replace real food. It is used for those who weight lift and body build or if your not getting enough protein in your meal plan. You can use it as a meal replacement. However nothing can replace good old clean food. Besides you will get tied of replacing real food with shakes and powder. If you are counting Macro grams and you are not in-taking enough real food protein grams per body weight and burn off during your workouts or training then adding in that protein powder will catch you up. Without ingesting alot of calories, fat, carbs and unnecessary things. Also protein shakes instead of reaching for that sweet or salty snack. This is a better choice. You will be more filled with protein.

Protein powder I highly recommend for how clean it is... 1st Phorm Level 1

If you need more information on the additional supplements such as Pre-Workout, Creatine, and things like that I can also tell you about those as well.

I hope this helps you out. This is your boy Burly Carl. Until next time!

if you eat a healthy, varied diet, and don't have any disorders, you don't need supplements.
Even iron (yea I know it's not a vitamin) , which could be an issue for us ladies, can be gotten from i.e. fish and green vegetables + red meat, liver etc.

For most parts, you will, quite literally, pee out the excess vitamins, so for many it's a waste of money without them even being aware of it

Be careful! I cannot emphasise that enough, you must be careful what supplement you take. I used to take Multivitamin tablets every day and one got stuck in my neck... I have also taken Ginko Biloba and the same happened with that... the doctor told me to never take supplements again and that he has seen guys my age (22) in hospital with liver failure because they have been taking supplements. He also said that in the "western world" there is no need for them.

Innate vitamins is also a excellent brand. Some others mentioned here are also fine.
By the way, anyone here, no matter what age, or what level of health your at, would do well to be taking some types of supplements.
For some of you it may be very few.
For others, it may be quite a bit.
A plan would need to be formulated by a qualified person to get you into the right balance.
But to assume you would not benefit (and for some of you the benefit would be significant) from a good brand of certain supplements, I will be blunt, your deeply mistaken.

It is true to many supplements for to long a period of time can over tax the liver and kidneys.
But the standard American western diet can do that to.
The answer is not to forego supplements, but to understand what your doing.
A simple approach would be to take about 2 weeks off every 6 months and then the likelihood of any damage is nil.

As far as choking, your kidding me right? You can have the same risk, if not more, with food.
If you can't swallow them, then chew them. Simple enough.

I will be blunt again, many doctors have a dim understanding of supplements because they did not study it in school. They have a very narrow understanding of certain things because in some ways, as comprehensive their education may be from a western perspective, they have a narrow level of understanding the big picture.
Also, some of them are being indoctrinated by big pharma and their higher ups to pooh pooh supplements. Not because they are dangerous, but because they take money from their pockets.
Did you know that if they had ot there way they would make supplements the same as drugs; you would need a prescription. They have tried to legislate this more then once, and will again.
One day they may succeed.
Again more control, more money in their pockets.
If the do, God help us.

It is said if you want to know who controls you, then look to them who silence you or seek to silence you and take away your rights.

the doctor told me to never take supplements again . He also said that in the "western world" there is no need for them.
This jumped out at me as one of the most deceptive notions society has bought. Do you realize the damage caused by pharmaceuticals as prescribed by these doctors? Are you aware that people are dying at a rate of knots as a result of taking them? The western world should be far less reliant on drugs and much more tolerant of the natural way of life including the best supplements available to combat the poisons and
conditions commonly experienced in society today.

Those doctors are paid to shoot forth those poisonous pills, that's who they work for. If society attended professionals who were holistic and were taught about prevention and health, rather than just disease in insolation, many people would be so much better off. I wrote a piece about it explaining it in further detail here:

A great thing to remind readers is about the notion of sublingual and liquid vitamins. I personally take a liquid vitamin d d3 from invitehealth as it's excellent for the brain. To prevent various forms of cancer, I take glutathione each day and it's sublingual, meaning it dissolves under the tongue. These will help solve any choking concerns for those interested in learning more about the natural route of health over modern western medicine which has a plethora of its own negative side effects.

Best Foods for Every Vitamin and Mineral - Health.com

There are many things in this post that need correction. Education and awareness is severely lacking. While healthy food is one of the best medicines available to any person, the world we live in, the environment that we are part of daily, the vulnerabilities our body, especially gender based, can be susceptible too as a result of these factors are severely misunderstood in that post's claims.

I take glutathione and detoxified iodine everyday to prevent many cancers, primary breast. I have no disorder that I can think of to claim justification for taking these supplements, but i'm all too aware of how dangerously easy it is for a women to get breast cancer, despite healthy eating, especially when it's in the family and when they're exposed to all kinds of toxins in their environment. These supplements are certainly not 'peed out' as a 'waste of money'. They do their job within my system, that is to clear out a build up of toxins and maintain the immune system which in turns fights any cancer development.

Another point: Red meat and fish are one of the leading causes of cancer. The growth hormones and antibiotics in meat. What is injected in fish as soon as it hits the shores and is sold on them or in the markets are all varying different shades of pink that is a chemical in order to make sell them off to the ignorant buyers who know no better.

To suggest that vitamins are a waste of time and money and needless after a good healthy diet inclusive of red meat is ironic at best and painfully ignorant at worst. There’s the issue of our soil being depleted,
the issue of pesticides. The loss of energy and vibrancy the longer the fruit or veggie is off the vine or branch. The total omission of all the chemicals in plant and animal foods that deplete the nutrition. By the op’s extreme and lacking statement I would conclude that they all have 100% assimilation of digestion of everything they eat and that they are living in areas where there are zero environmental issues. I guess their linage is such there was no degradation of DNA in their family or that they have no stress or anxiety in their lives at all.

When considering claims such as the OP’s I’d encourage the audience to do their own critique with further reading before taking at face value an understanding that fails to consider many factors and omits so much at the same time.

The body has three phases of incorporation of toxins.
The first phase, the ideal phase, is elimination. Regrettably, very few people are in this stage.
The second is accommodation, a state which many people are in.
The worst of these is assimilation. This is the phase leading up to, or in, disease. The majority of Americans are in this phase.
It is a testament to the design of the body that people live for decades in this sad and declining stage of un-health.

What does this have to do with supplements? A lot.
Since the majority of Americans can't, or won't, eat well, then the next best alternative is to take supplements as a sort of safety valve.
This by no means replaces or makes it unnecessary to eat a diet that our designer blueprinted for us; still it does provide a margin of error that would be unavailable without them.

Off the top of my head, in not specific order, these are maybe the most essential, in a general sense. People that have a fixed set of family medical conditions or a particular local environmental concern should tailor there plan accordingly.

1) Probiotis. Progurt brand is probably the best.

--Pricey, as unfortunately most of the supplements on this list are.
--But when measured capsule to capsule, or mg to mg, the supplements on this list actually turn out to be cheaper then the conventional brands.

2) Systemic enzymes. Vida Defense is maybe, probably, the best.
3) Miror EPF
4) Bio Super food micro algae F3 capsules
5) E3Live blue green algae liquid.
6) Essential oils (which ones can be very specialized to the individual, although there are some probably everyone should use).
7) Maybe MMS, nut I am not sure if this one belongs on the must have list. Maybe.

And of course the more well known minerals, vitamins, amino acids, flowers, herbs and other supplements.
