But I thought things like that. So that means im condemned.
Sins can be in actions, things we do that we shouldn't ;
inactions, things we don't do that we should ;
words, spoken that we shouldn't, or not said that we should ;
and
thoughts, things we think that we shouldn't,
and maybe even not thinking the things we should, like when the bible says, 'think on these things', and we don't.
But the point is, all these are ways we sin.
Now, what you need to do is
settle it once and for all,
Did Jesus shed His blood for, die for, pay the penalty for, your sins?
If so, how many, some of them? Or all of them?
Did He pay for only the sins you spoke, or acted on, or thought?
Or did He pay for ALL your sins, past present and future, in thought word and deed?
On the cross He said It is Finished. The penalty has been paid. In full.
If God was not satisfied with the sacrifice, Jesus would still be on the cross paying for it, or He would still be in the grave, and He'd be waiting for another sacrifice acceptable.
But Jesus DID pay it all, the tomb is empty, He rose from the grave, God's justice is satisfied, salvation is ours as a gift by His grace through faith in Jesus.
His love endures forever, and His mercies are new every morning, and if Jesus is your Savior now, there is no condemnation for you, and nothing can separate you from Him or His love for you. Hallelujah!
Just remember, as others have said, there's a slick enemy that wants you to doubt God's love for you, or that Jesus sacrifice wasn't for you, or good enough.
The devil's a liar.
Remember, too, that he had the nerve to actually think he could beat Jesus with His Own Word, in the wilderness after Jesus fasted forty days. Ha, fat chance!
But if he's got the nerve to try that with Jesus, our Good Shepherd, he won't hesitate to try it with us, His oft-bumbling sheep (no offense to anyone). And so don't let it surprise you that he'd take parts of God's Word and try to use them to condemn you.
Something that's just coming to me, is, it kind of makes sense, but also should be an encouragement.
The enemy knows how much we believe God's Word...We believe in Jesus and take His Word to heart.
So if the devil can take that Word and cause us to see something like 'we've committed the unpardonable sin', or 'there remains no more sacrifice for us', because we sinned again,
welllll,
of course he knows we're going to believe it, because it's God's Word, and we know His Word is Truth, right?
So we allow ourselves to be condemned by the very Word God gave us to save us! Yeesh!
Buggers, that insideous little b_*t#rd will stop at nothing to try to bring us down to his pit.
But listen, the fact that you believe God's Word so seriously as the Truth, is the very thing that should assure you that you belong to Jesus! If you didn't believe it and want to love His Word, you wouldn't care what it says about you anyway.
So the fact that you care is your confirmation in your spirit, and what you need to do, having settled the FACT that Jesus is your Lord and Savior, is to start believing in the everlasting love He has for you, and rejecting the lies the enemy tries to use against you from our Savior's Word.
Remember...OUR SAVIOR! Not our condemner. The One who SAVED us FROM condemnation.
Start praising Him and thanking Him for the wonderful salvation He won for you and gives to you freely, and the enemy will have to flee.
Don't listen to thoughts or feelings of condemnation. Jesus is our Lord and Savior, you can settle it and thank Him today. God bless you.
