Hey my name is Mike and I need some serious feedback on something. I have been heavily demonizied by the devil and am always attacked through my ego. Its as if my ego be being tortured alive within my mind when attacked by the devil.looked into the bible and its NOTHING of ego... only our sin nature. The sin nature is our old self not our ego... the bible doesnt even mention ego. I asked a few christians about ego and they advised me it was a sin and to look into some DAVE HUNT videos. Dave Hunt is a pastor who teaches about seducing spirits and doctrines of devils. He did research and found out ALL of the teachings of psychology come from demons. The 3 founders of psychology .. Carl Rodgers, Sigmund Freud, and Carl Jung all came up with their theroies from a demonic source. Carl Rodgers came up with the theory of 'ego" and self love... and he came up with the theories by making contact with dead spirits through a weidgy board and other methods. Sigmund Frued came up with the theory of ego, id, superego and aslo the subconsious and unconsious. Sigmund Freud recieved his theories through his patients that he put under hypnosis. Carl Jung came up with the theory of the collective unconsious and the theory of using imagination and visualization. Carl Jung would channel spirit beings and recieved his theories while channeling his spirit guide known as philemon. We christians know by channeling, usign hypnosis, or using weidgy boards we are opening our minds to the demonic realm. These 3 founders came up with all the theories of psychoilogy from DEMONS. As i said im attacked through ego.. ego is what Sigmund Freud came up with through hypnosis(recieving this information from demons). So the ENTIRE threory of ego is a teaching that came from devils and seducing spirits. And this is exactly what im struggling with. When im attacked by the devil it is in the way of all the psychology principals... it doesnt feel spiritual but VERY VERY psychological. As i said its the ego that is being destroyed in me. Like i said the bible doesnt even mention ego only the old self. So im wondering if this ego im dealing with is a normal thing or actually a demonic thing like Dave Hunt has taught. Is the ego normal? Or is it truly something demonic ... and does the devil attack me using some type of demonic teaching. What do you all think of ego since its not found in the bible. Do you think Dave Hunt is right and the whole theory of ego is a lie that came from demons and seducing spirits. I NEED feedback

The old self IS ego. Get rid of your old self, get rid of the ego. Trust in the bible, not David Hunt.

The word ego as you know doesn't appear in the bible... however the word pride does, do a study starting with everywhere the word pride appears in the bible and you begin to see, and your right about the true nature of psychology, however better understanding of the mind and how it really works is always good as well, there are many councilers who understand how to listen and are guided by the Holy Spirit, not science so called or demonic influence.
My council to you is deep prayer and study of the word... and seek the Father for your answers He's waiting....

Uhm, well, for one, Ego is simply a word that means I or self.
Sure it has been used in psychology, but that's probably just because they need a term to use.

I don't know who the guy you refer to is, but how can he be so sure about the "demonic sources" unless he was there when the theory was made? To me it sounds more like someone bible bashing something they either disagrees with or doesn't understand.

The bible tells is that our nature is to be sinful. Our flesh is sinful.
...and that the spirit of God is in us, and that the two are at war.
This happens to all humans, whether you call it "me" , "ego" , "nature" or any other word

The Bible speaks of our soul, spirit and body, we are spirits, we live in a body, we have souls (personality, brain, emotions) there is also the world, the flesh and satan.

One might eqaute the soul with ego, the super ego with spirit but these are manmade labels not as accurate as a description by the Creator.

It sounds like you are dealing with condemnation-Jesus THE answer to that.

Your profile indicates you're a Christian and yet Jesus Christ isn't mentioned once in your post. :confused:

You give acknowledgement to the devil, demons, your "ego" (carnal mind/pride/own understanding), Carl Rogers, Sigmund Freud, Carl Jung, Dave Hunt... everyone except the Lord Jesus.

Why would you "NEED" feedback from strangers? Your post sounds more like an introduction to a debate on the "evils of psychology" and a promotional for Dave Hunt's ministries. :rolleyes:

If you want God's wisdom on a matter, I advise you to ask God directly as he promises to give it. (James 1:5)

There is plenty of information regarding the concious, subconcious minds. How the subconcious is programmable through many means: repetition, psychotropic drugs, blunt force trauma to split it into compartments. The nazis moved these demonic led techniques to a great extent. The pineal gland can be manipulated by the same techniques to turn a person inside out. You can spend a lot of time being fascinated how these forces do so, but seeing that you are a professing believer in Jesus Christ, and no one knows how much time they have it might be better spent communing with the Holy Spirit. He will take your focus off what you call "ego" and heal the damage done and optimize your walk. He'll teach you how to leggo your ego. Enjoy the ride.

Psychology isn't demonic and you can find some Christians who are psychologist.

You need to calm your mind and let go what you think you know and read the Bible with a humble heart.

Stop listening to what the demons are telling you. Most doctors are trying to help you, but if you don't trust doctors..then trust God ., Read the Bible pray.

Ego is just the psychological term for a person's soul or spirit/body connection. Their source of identity.

If you are born again, let go of who you were, who you think you are and learn who God is making you to become.

Are you born again?

Do you believe that Jesus died for your sins on the cross?

Can you discern good from evil, truth from lies?

Do you know and truly believe the depth of God's love for you?

Ego would be a sin,if it is done in a way to exalt oneself,which the Bible says pride comes before a fall,and God resists the proud,but gives grace unto the humble,and a person should not think higher of them self than what they are,and Paul was given a thorn in the flesh,so that he would not exalt himself above measure,because of all the revelations God showed him.

That is the problem in the world is that they exalt themselves,and think they are something special apart from God,which the Bible says cast down all imaginations that exalt themselves above the knowledge of God.

In other words do not live in fantasy land,for anything that is not of God,that is truth,and reality,is a fantasy of people's imaginations,which God said why boast yourself in mischief,for the goodness of God endures continually.

Sin is people exalting themselves in their own way,ignoring the truth,and reality,of God,for sin is a temporary fantasy that will pass away one day,but the goodness of God,and His ways,will go on forever.

I would not say the ego is demonic,for that is the way of the world to exalt them self,and they will do it,some more than others,and some worse than others,for not everybody wants to act like Hitler,but some might boast of something lesser,but they will exalt them self apart from God,someway,somehow.
