Proverbs 29:25 The fear of man brings a snare, but whoso puts his trust in the Lord shall be safe.

In other words, Listening and obeying man's twisted version of scripture brings a snare. Whoever puts his trust in the Lord and His word and truth shall be blessed.

I have been kicked out of many a church because of the anointing on my life and ministry. In the way of a 'cold shoulder'. Basically what it is, is that the top man (single unscriptural pastor) has failed to obtain the blessing of God on what he is doing because what he is doing is not sanctioned by the word of God (see all my threads), so it scares him witless when some one comes into his 'cornered market' that is truly an uncompromising believer, so jealousy is the default emotion that consumes him.

Im just offering testimonial support to the fact that you must, if you ever are going to enter the abundant life, you must break free from all the religious bonds and delusion and start laying hold of the word of truth in Christ which is the only thing that will set you free.

To obey and cling to the distorted interpretations of mere men that have a self interest in what they are doing, an agenda, will leave you impotent spiritually and in some cases, pennyless. Wake up.

First, let’s review what Scripture teaches about Satan
“the Devil and Satan, who deceives the whole world” (Revelation 12:9)
“there is no truth in him ... he is a liar and the father of it” (John 8:44)
“the whole world lies in the power of the evil one” (1 John 5:19)
“the god of this world” (2 Corinthians 4:4)
“the ruler of this world” (John 12:31)
“Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil walks
about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour” (1 Peter 5:8)

Satan has convinced the church that many Scriptures are NOT true!
Here are Scripture rebuttals to some of Satan’s lies …

Satan’s lie: You do NOT need to overcome your sinning
• “For the wages of sin is death” (Romans 6:23)
• “For if you live according to the flesh you will die” (Romans 8:13)
• “He who overcomes shall inherit all things, and I will be his God and he will be
My son. But (… examples of sinners …) and all liars shall have their part in the lake
that burns with fire and brimstone, which is the second death.” (Revelation 21:7-8)
“For he who sows to his flesh will of the flesh reap corruption,
but he who sows to the Spirit will of the Spirit reap everlasting life.” (Galatians 6:8)
For to be carnally-minded is death, but to be spiritually-minded is life and peace.”
(Romans 8:6)

Then, when desire has conceived, it gives birth to sin; and sin when it is full-grown
brings forth death. Do not be deceived, my beloved brethren.” (James 1:15-16)
reserved for fire until the day of judgment and perdition of ungodly men” (2 Peter 3:7)
Is “ungodly” the right term for believers who sin regularly, or shall we call them “godly”?

Satan’s lie: You do NOT need to continually repent of your sins
• “The Lord is not slack concerning His promise, as some count slackness,
but is longsuffering toward us (Christians), not willing that any (of us) should perish
but that all (of us) should come to repentance.” (2 Peter 3:9)
• “I am not sorry that I sent that severe letter to you … because the pain caused you to
repent and change your ways. It was the kind of sorrow God wants his people to have,
so you were not harmed by us in any way. For the kind of sorrow God wants us to
experience leads us away from sin and results in salvation. There’s no regret for
that kind of sorrow.” (2 Corinthians 7:8-10, NLT)
• “But IF we walk in the light as He is in the light … the blood of Jesus Christ His Son
cleanses us from all sin … IF we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us
of our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.” (1 John 1:7-9)

Satan’s lie: You do NOT need to prove that you love Jesus by obeying His commandments
• “If you love Me, keep My commandments.” (John 14:15)
• “He who has My commandments and keeps them, it is he who loves Me.” (John 14:21)
• “If anyone loves Me, he will keep My word; and My Father will love him,
and We will come to him and make Our home with him.” (John 14:23)
• “He who does not love Me does not keep My words …” (John 14:24)
• “He became the author of eternal salvation to all who obey Him.” (Hebrews 5:9)
• “And to whom did He swear that they would not enter His rest,
but to those who did not obey?

So we see that they could not enter in because of unbelief.” (Hebrews 3:18-19)
Yes, “to not obey is to not believe” -- see the examples of not obeying: sinning (3:17), rebelling (3:16),
hardening of the heart (3:15), not remaining faithful (3:14), sinning (3:13), evil heart of unbelief (3:12).

Satan’s lie: You do NOT need to maintain your righteousness (i.e. practice righteousness)
• “And they (Zach and Liz) were both righteous before God,
walking in all the commandments and ordinances of the Lord blameless.” (Luke 1:6)
Notice above that even people who are NOT born-again can live righteously.
• “… let no one deceive you. He who practices righteousness is righteous” (1 John 3:7)
• “… you know that everyone who practices righteousness is born of Him.” (1 John 2:29)
• “… whoever fears Him and works righteousness is accepted by Him” (Acts 10:35)
• “… (slaves) of obedience leading to righteousness” (Romans 6:16)
• “In this the children of God and the children of the devil are manifest:
whoever does NOT practice righteousness is NOT of God” (1 John 3:10)
Notice above that “the children of the devil” do NOT practice righteousness!

Satan’s lie: You do NOT need to prepare for going through the great tribulation
I have an article with 25 verses proving the pre-tribulation rapture doctrine is false.

Satan’s lie: You do NOT need to be progressively sanctified unto holiness
• “… holiness, without which no one will see the Lord" (Hebrews 12:14)
• “… so now present your members as slaves of righteousness for holiness” (Romans 6:19)
• “… beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit,
perfecting holiness in the fear of God.” (2 Corinthians 7:1)

Satan’s lie: You do NOT need to have a personal relationship with Father God and Jesus
• “Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ shall enter the kingdom of heaven,
but he who does the will of My Father in heaven. Many will say to Me in that day,
‘Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name, cast out demons in Your name,
and done many wonders in Your name?’ And then I will declare to them,
‘I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness!’ (Matthew 7:21-23)
• “My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow me.
And I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish …” (John 10:27-28)
• “I know My sheep, and am known by My own.” (John 10:14)
• “And this is eternal life, that they may know You, the only true God,
and Jesus Christ, whom You have sent.” (John 17:3)

Satan’s lie: The spiritual power gifts were not needed after the Canon was available
1 Corinthians 13:8-10 does NOT refer to the time when the Bible is available.
IMO, almost all of the older denominations have now retracted from their long-held position.
And the newer Bible translations have corrected the long-held misunderstanding of the KJV.
1 Corinthians 13:10
KJV • “But when that which is perfect is come, then that which is in part shall be done away.”
NASB • “but when the perfect comes, the partial will be done away.”
NIV • “but when completeness comes, what is in part disappears.”
NLT • “But when the time of perfection comes, these partial things will become useless.”
NCV • “But when perfection comes, the things that are not perfect will end.”
TLB • “But when we have been made perfect and complete, then the need for
these inadequate special gifts will come to an end, and they will disappear.”

I am being too gracious, if I give Satan all the credit for the condition of the churches!
For those in charge of the churches have been extremely lax in shepherding God’s sheep.
The reasons for their many failures might be obvious to you.
What is there to argue with here? Is scripture not to be trusted? The enemy is as real as apple pie, twice as tasty and never rots yer teeth, Oops, little lie there.

This is why we do have to keep a short account with God, live constantly in prayer and bring all these thoughts captive to Jesus feet. Lifting my cross and carrying it daily means just that, not once for all, that is what Jesus did. I, we now, have to live the rest of our lives within what Jesus has done.

I have written on another post, that what we do effects our relationship with Jesus. We live righteous lives when we live with Jesus every minuet of every day. An example of this is walking down the street on a warm day, young people of all nationalities and genders are there too, but on a warm day there is little to distinguish from nakedness or clothed.

How do we cope with what we see. We cant close our eyes or we will be in the street and run over, or walk into something. We cant ignore the flesh calling to us from within because until we stand in the kingdom this is where we are. I say "thank you Lord for producing these beautiful young people". Bringing Jesus in, brings our minds into subjection for God and lays lust where it should be, anywhere but in us.

This simple example can be used in most situations to bring glory to God and to make captive the flesh, and bring it into line with the Spirit that resides within us. Some do not drink alcohol, but giving thanks to Jesus for a long cooling drink when we are thirsty brings our minds into subjection with the Spirit. Everything God has created in this world we live in is good. God said so, the heart of men is evil, God said so, evil continually. Most of what God has made which God said is good, man has taken and perverted for evil, but not on his own.

Without God, man falls under the authority of satan, and if you will excuse the pun, 'all hell, breaks loose'. The living word of God, Jesus the Christ who died for you and me, wrote the written word we have in scripture, Jesus dictated it through the writers who wrote it. Don't be fooled in thinking we can do what we want, or nothing we say or do matters (I have been here before) because of grace. Old nick watches us as closely as the angels do, it is what they were made to do in the first place before they fell from grace, if he thinks we are usurping his authority in this world he will fight nasty and without honour.

The op has given us the written word to show what satan is, why deny what Jesus dictated?

The OP has demonstrated a distinct bias against the security of the believer. What we have here is an effort to further that bias.

Examine your own heart and ask if any of his allegations are present in your heart. Saved by grace does not produce the evidences it is accused of producing.

Ask yourself does a person saved by grace seek out sin? Does a person in whom the Holy Spirit resides sin without conscience? Does a born again believer delight in sin?

Jesus said His burden was light and His yoke was easy. We do not labor to serve Christ. We have Him to share the yoke and make our path straight.

The Christ that saved me is not a cruel master nor is He going to punish me with eternal condemnation if I stumble in my walk with Him. The God of my salvation is love and His love is bestowed upon me even though I an unworthy of the least of His favor.

Arguing scripture against scripture itself is counter productive.

Those who possess the pure, undefiled grace of God in their hearts know the goodness of God and will not strive against it.

For the cause of Christ

2 Peter 2:21
For it had been better for them not to have known the way of righteousness, than, after they have known it (Jesus=the way), to turn from the holy commandment delivered unto them.

Matthew 22:37-40
Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself. On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets.

1 John 5:2-3
By this we know that we love the children of God, when we love God, and keep his commandments. For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments: and his commandments are not grievous.

My interpretation:
2 Peter 2:21 It would be better for people to have not known Jesus than to have known Jesus and turned from the holy commandment, which means it would be better to have not known salvation than to have known salvation and lost salvation because you didn't personally do that which Jesus commands us all to do.

Now what do we all have to do?

Matthew 22:37-40 We have to love God, and similarly we have to love our neighbor as ourself.

Certainly if we don't do these two things, then it would have been better had we never learned of Jesus. How do we love God and our neighbor?

1 John 5:2-3 To love God and our neighbor we have to keep his commandments.

If don't keep God's commandments, then we do not love God or our neighbor. If we don't love God, then it would have been better had we never known the truth and the way.

If this doesn't click in your brain, then I suggest you read 1 John chapter 5 with prayer until God reveals it to you. Then I would suggest reading the gospels a few times over in prayer until God opens your Bible back to the Old Testament.

May God bless you all in the name of Jesus Christ. The path gets pretty narrow when you follow the light.

It's not the written word anyone disagrees with. It's the interpretation and conclusions being drawn from the written word by the OP that is being disagreed with.

Even reducing the commandments to two does not help me. It still drives me to my knees in recognition that I can't and only God can. It just confirms for me that my only hope is Jesus.

I disagree.

I see it this way, It is better to not have known The WAY TO SALVATION, then to know the way, and reject it, and end up lost.

In hell. it will be worse for those who knew the truth and rejected it, than for those who never knew the truth, because they never even tried..

Those are saved by God do his commands, There is no question of if.

Those who are not saved may act like they do his commands, But it is a false hope. because their do Gods commands from self, not from God.

The snare satan used on Eve:

Yea, hath God said ... ? (Gen 3:1).

Resulting in Eve's participating in a discussion.

Then the lie:

Ye shall not surely die (Gen 3:4).

The snare satan used on Jesus:

If thou be the Son of God ... (Matt 4:3) after Jesus had heard the voice from heaven This is my beloved Son (Matt 3:17). satan even used words it is written but, of course, with his "spin" on it (just as he tries to do to us and as he did to Eve back in the garden).

Jesus reply? It is written (Matt 4:7) with correct interpretation of Scripture. And satan left Jesus after his attempts to entice Him.

As we are faced with the snares of satan, we are to resist all of satan's attempts by drawing near to God and He draws near to us. satan will leave us for a time and then come back to try to snare us again. We need to follow the example laid out for us by our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and not follow the example of Eve. We are given instruction to be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might (Eph 6:10) and use His armor to protect us and pray always (Eph 6:11-18).

Just when i thought i heard it all!

So we are NOT to 'study to show ourselves approved unto God, RIGHTLY dividing the word of TRUTH'?

Nor are we to 'sesrch the scriptures to see if these things be so', as the Bereans?

Satan's biggest lie is to tell christians to keep their bibles closed and just listen to the pulpit.
Honestly? (And from YOU?) Notice what this is all about. 10,001 different things about whatever, and none of it is about what we should be focused on -- God.

Set our face like flint to God and know what happens? He becomes the center of our focus. He is our purpose. He is our joy. He is our love.

Satan? Already defeated. And being defeated by God, not us.

IMO, Christians like to blame everything that goes wrong on Satan, too afraid to admit that WE are the ones who screw up. WE are the ones who sin. WE are the ones who lose our focus. So we blame away and forget who the focus is truly about.

-- You by blaming the church for your failures.
-- Zach is dying for someone to ask about his article with 25 verse disproving pre-trib rapture.
-- Quite a few others are already using this post to point out others' failures (like you and your I'm-better-than-Berean reference.)

Focus on God/set our face like flint, and this is doesn't happen.

I have been called to mediate disputes in plenty of churches that were deceived.

The moment you state the absolute that you are not of something....is usually when you are or have become that something.

I agree that there are plenty of disputes in local churches. I think Paul means the church as a whole... what do you think?

Too many words can really confuse the person who is living out what truth that God gives to them:

To the person who was raised in a legalistic type church and who feels guilty at everything they do that isn't perfectly in line with perfect, God makes real the message of grace and tells them to rest a bit and walk in the righteousness that Christ gives them. To try to understand that Christ obeyed the Father perfectly on their behalf. To enjoy the relationship with Christ that is offered to them freely. For the first time, they feel loved unconditionally. They really need that.

To the person who feels grace covers all and wants to live the way they choose, God makes real the message that their lives really don't belong to them - they have a responsibility to allow Christ to be revealed in them through their actions. He tells them that they can be a place where they are not protected by their choices and can open doors for Satan to begin his influence upon his lives. And even blessings can elude them. They begin to feel the devotion to Christ's teachings and for the first time surrender to only His will.

Yet to the person who keeps loving/trusting Jesus, and remains in His word, the balance between the two will happen and they will discover that both are true.

It is only the enemy that makes us feel that there is a problem with one or the other, and causes dissension between the two viewpoints. As I see happening here much of the time.

I agree that there are plenty of disputes in local churches. I think Paul means the church as a whole... what do you think?
I think we need the whole verse above and below to set possible proper context:

1 Tim 3.14-16

[SUP]14 [/SUP]I am writing these things to you, hoping to come to you before long;
[SUP]15 [/SUP]but in case I am delayed, I write so that you will know how one ought to conduct himself in the household of God, which is the church of the living God, the pillar and support of the truth. [SUP]16 [/SUP]By common confession, great is the mystery of godliness:He who was revealed in the flesh,
Was vindicated in the Spirit,
Seen by angels,
Proclaimed among the nations,
Believed on in the world,
Taken up in glory.

I am not sure we will agree on the context of the verse that you are using to support your statement. In my interpretation, This verse has zero to do with the church being deceived or in deception. The very fact that Paul used adjectives to describe Timothy's Church compels us to infer that there must have also been false churches, John shows us this in his 1 Epistle.

Your mileage may vary and it's perfectly fine if we disagree.

I was asked to go into a church and find out what the issues were and attended the Sunday morning Worship service.
After the service the Pastor asked me what I thought and how we were going to get the Board of Elders to see things his way.

I asked him and his Board of Elders if they knew about the Black Magic Occultist couple that were in their congregation....they had no clue....I picked them out quickly and when they picked me out they got up and walked out of service....2 months later the church , Pastor and Board of elders were working together and there was no more strife or division and the church was fulfilling their call....Black Magic Occultist practitioners are routinely assigned to infiltrate certain churches and fellowships that are deemed a threat to the powers of Darkness.

I would rethink the position that the church cannot deceived or bound in deep deception. There are reasons why Jesus, Paul and John taught so much about false doctrines and False teachers. There is one instance in the Gospel of Mark that Jesus took authority over a unclean spirit in Church[Synagogue]

Which Righteousness are you trying to promote?

Romans 10:1-13
Brethren, my heart’s desire and my prayer to God for them is for their salvation. [SUP]2 [/SUP]For I testify about them that they have a zeal for God, but not in accordance with knowledge. [SUP]3 [/SUP]For not knowing about God’s righteousness and seeking to establish their own, they did not subject themselves to the righteousness of God. [SUP]4 [/SUP]For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to everyone who believes. [SUP]5 [/SUP]For Moses writes that the man who practices the righteousness which is based on law shall live by that righteousness. [SUP]6[/SUP]But the righteousness based on faith speaks as follows: “Do not say in your heart, ‘Who will ascend into heaven?’ (that is, to bring Christ down), [SUP]7 [/SUP]or ‘Who will descend into the abyss?’ (that is, to bring Christ up from the dead).” [SUP]8 [/SUP]But what does it say? “The word is near you, in your mouth and in your heart”—that is, the word of faith which we are preaching, [SUP]9 [/SUP]that if you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved; [SUP]10 [/SUP]for with the heart a person believes, resulting in righteousness, and with the mouth he confesses, resulting in salvation. [SUP]11 [/SUP]For the Scripture says, “Whoever believes in Him will not be disappointed.” [SUP]12 [/SUP]For there is no distinction between Jew and Greek; for the same Lord is Lord of all, abounding in riches for all who call on Him; [SUP]13 [/SUP]for “Whoever will call on the name of the Lord will be saved.”

Righteousness is received when a person believes that Jesus is Lord. So how can we maintain our Righteousness if we have received it by Believing that Jesus is our Lord????

The ONLY way to lose Righteousness in by UN-believing that Jesus is our Lord and Savior!

We do not work to maintain our Righteousness because our Righteousness is from God!

Satan has deceived you. Christians are supposed to teach each other God's Word. I may be a rookie preacher but that's irrelevant. I operate in the power and anointing of the Holy Ghost. God anointed my mouth with the Word of God. So when I speak I'm not making up things. Everything I say is back up by the Bible. Satan has deceived many Christians by believing that there is no rapture. The Rapture is real and I can prove it to you. If you don't believe me you're rejecting God. The Bible is God's Word and the final authority. 1Thess4:16-17 For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first. Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And thus we shall always be with the Lord. A lot of Christians don't have the gift of discernment and they are easily deceived. the Holy Ghost is here to help Christians. The Holy Ghost gives us the power to obey God's commands and strengthens us in time of temptation.Acts1:8 But you shall receive power when the Holy Ghost comes upon you. 1Timothy4:1 Now the Spirit expressly says that in latter times some will depart from the faith, giving heed to deceiving spirits and doctrines of demons. The Body of Christ needs to stop letting Satan sneak into church. That preacher Rick Warren is a false prophet! He's telling people that Muslims &Christians worship the same God. Ifhe doesn't repent of his evil ways he's gonna burn in hell. That goes for all false religions. Roman Catholic Church, Muslims&Nation of Islam(Black Muslims), Masons,Mormons, Jehovah's Witnesses, 7Th Day Adventists, Scientology, Buddhism, Hinduism, and all forms of witchcraft. (Wicca and Santeria). Satan hates to be exposed. The Kardashians are part of the Illuminati andJennifer Lopez practices witchcraft. P Diddy is gay. He's in the Illuminati. Wake up people the Illuminati is behind the gay Agenda. Ephesians 5:11 And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather expose them. I don't know where you go to church, but if you're in a church that practices legalism and preaches false doctrine you need to leave. Did you receive the Baptism of the Holy Ghost? The KingJames Version is one of the most biblically accurate bibles. I have a New King James Study Bible. May these scriptures encourage your faith and teach you the truth from God's Word. To God be the glory. Preacha24-7

Even Satan teaches God's word.
