Walking to school at 6 in the morning when it's 30° sure wakes you up
I remember one time, back when I lived in Calgary, I was walking to the bus stop and it was SO cold, it was apparently colder than Antarctica that day. There were warnings that people shouldn't go outside if they can help it. I felt like my eyes were frozen and my face felt like it would fall right off.
Ohh how I hate the cold D:

Speaking of rep, how many of you guys feel weird about repping someone with more rep power than you?

I mean like, it only adds to their rep power if you have more than them, right? So sometimes Ill like love a post and wanna rep them, but Ill see they have more rep power than me, so Ill just skip over them : p Not like all the time, Ill still do it occasionally just to let them know I appreciated what they said, but most of the time Ill just skip it cuz it wont raise their rep power at all : p

I dunno how others feel about it, but with the way the system is set up, it can make the whole rep thing feel kinda pointless : p

I have no problem with of giving someone rep who has more rep power than I do. You are awarded one rep power for each multiple of 100 so while your giving someone rep who is higher in rep than you are may not immediately increase their rep it does count towards the next higher rep power.

I really suck at making friends. My Little Pony makes it look so easy. Like hey, you also enjoy eating apples and busting out into random song as a means to express your feelings? That's so great. Let's be forever friends and fend off our enemies with our magical friendship powers.

Yeah, not so charming when I try it.
I would find that charming! But maybe I'm not normal. And I also suck at making friends. I thought it would be easier once my daughter was in school. But honestly, that just made it worse. It made me realize why I don't have a ton of friends here. They're all dramatic and crazy. Why are adult friendships so hard? And still like high school? I've been graduated for awhile. I wish I could make friends too. As an introvert, that's hard stuff.

Right?! Like, it was hard enough trying to make friends back in school, but now that we're not forced to be around hundreds of people our own age six hours a day, it's darn near impossible.
I want more friends, but I also don't want to socialize.
The struggle is incredibly real.

I don't care how many rep points people have, but as a general rule, I won't give rep to a person who has been trolling, even if they make a really good post I'd otherwise rep

So they are irreputable ( I would have used disreputable but the web says disreputable is "outdated/obsolete" lol)

Lol what a jealous repper you are! Is that how you rep yourself on the street as the gangsters say? Oh he's got 100 rep points I've only got 90 screw that guy lol I'm not giving you rep hahaha.....

jk bro! But I sometimes hide my rep points so I can lull people into giving me free rep points thinking that I have none muhahahha...it's a great rep point grabbing scheme....just hide that green bar in settings and wala you have a way to get free rep points from people who don't see your rep bar and think oh he needs some rep points.....

That is so me. Being near a lot of strangers or trying to make friends, makes me want to lock myself in my house with a book and no one near me. But I want a close friend. I get your struggle.

To me it's just better than a like. So if I want to give it I give it. I never pay attention to their rep.

Aww. You have a pleasant personality and disposition, so I would think you'd have an easier time making friends than some of the rest of us.

The whole like and reputation system makes no sense to me. I don't see that it serves any really useful purpose. Okay, so somebody liked something I posted...and...so what? Somebody added to my reputation...and...so what? Some members have greater than a 1:1 ration of likes versus posts...and this means what exactly?

Maybe they're well liked and have a good reputation.

To which I would counter with "well liked by whom?" and "a good reputation of...what?"

The system here is like the Karma system I've seen on other forums. It goes by a bunch of different names depending on the forums software, but it essentially all does the same thing. It just doesn't make any sense to me, and I know that is my issue to confront, but when something confuses me, I have to either figure out why I didn't understand it, or I have to just leave it alone and give it no more thought. I generally ask a couple of questions and when I can't get a satisfactory answer, I drop it like a hot rock and move on to other things. There is so much in the world I don't understand, and I need to figure a bit of it out eventually.
