Ok, without starting something mean or contentious.....I learned the other day that there are those who believe the earth is flat. I do not mock them nor discount them offhand but having been a commercial fisherman I have my doubts. If we could keep it civil I would love to debate this topic with any who hold that belief.
Well, how are they going to explain Isaiah 40:21-22, "It is He who sits above the vault of the earth, And its inhabitants are like grasshoppers, Who stretches out the heavens like a curtain, And spreads them out like a tent to dwell in." That word "vault" is translated as "circle."
And then there is Job 26:10, "He has inscribed a circle on the surface of the waters, At the boundry of light and darkness." And as a side note as I was reading this verse I just happend to look down and read Job 26:7, "He stretches out the north over empty space, and hangs the earth on nothing." In my mind I am picturing a round Christmas tree bulb hanging there instead of something flat haging there. Just my two cents worth.
IN GOD THE SON,
