yes, the left has branded anything that is not democrat-approved news as " fake news " , and want it banned. it is not about sharing information, it is about controlling information.

One question, how is this news?? Something tells me this has been going on for years and years, the only difference is someone who holds a form of leadership is calling them out on it

They will never receive the new that will be true through all the ages. The gospel is the news they need but will never allow themselves to receive.

Jesus came was crucified and died then Jesus rose again from the dead. There is the news.

Leaving Clinton out of it, I agree that fake news should be dealt with.
Im not talking about real news which people don't want to get out, that
would be censorship.

Im talking of news which is deliberately made up to look as if it is real. Usually it gets
posted on social media sites face book etc. Also some newspapers don't seem to have
any morals in this respect.

Most fake news is eventually exposed but in the meantime it can cause a lot of
damage.

Im surprised there are not more legal cases and law suits over it. I suppose this will
be the next step.

The problem is; who decides what news is fake? This is an attempt to get another government bureaucracy to control the proliferation of accurate news that may be politically damaging.

Well if someone made up an article that your house was being used as a drug den,
you would know that was fake, so would the news writer. Two people know it's fake
and the truth would come out but in the meantime you could find yourself in
prison and homeless.

In the meantime a real story about a drug den might not get printed or would
be ignored. It's like the boy who cried wolf.

Fake news causes real problems.

Of course people shouldnt just make up lies about someone else, yeah : p

But the censorship of news, and deciding whats "real" and whats "fake" is clearly a political tool. I mean, the democrats laughed at Trump when he brought up worries that the polls could have been rigged, but now that hes won, there are people demanding a recount. Both sides have facts, and both sides make up facts to put down the other.

So, how do we decide which group gets to choose whats "real" news and what isnt? This is clearly not a good thing.

I wasnt really referring to Clinton especially, the fake news thingy is a real problem though.
When the news can no longer be trusted, not just because it gets exaggerated or twisted although
that is wrong as well, but because it's just plain fairy stories. Then the world is heading for big problems.

Its called dictatorship, many people live in countries where news is censored but it's
also made much worse by fake news.

Censorship and fake news go hand in hand.

Pretty simple really; if a liberal says it, it's fake.

A few huge damage awards will go a long way in removing false news stories.
