Here's the King James Version of Satan's fall.

Ezekiel Chapter 28

[SUP]13[/SUP] Thou hast been in Eden the garden of God; every precious stone [was] thy covering, the sardius, topaz, and the diamond, the beryl, the onyx, and the jasper, the sapphire, the emerald, and the carbuncle, and gold: the workmanship of thy tabrets and of thy pipes was prepared in thee in the day that thou wast created.
[SUP]14[/SUP] Thou [art] the anointed cherub that covereth; and I have set thee [so]: thou wast upon the holy mountain of God; thou hast walked up and down in the midst of the stones of fire.
[SUP]15[/SUP] Thou [wast] perfect in thy ways from the day that thou wast created, till iniquity was found in thee.
[SUP]16[/SUP] By the multitude of thy merchandise they have filled the midst of thee with violence, and thou hast sinned: therefore I will cast thee as profane out of the mountain of God: and I will destroy thee, O covering cherub, from the midst of the stones of fire.
[SUP]17[/SUP] Thine heart was lifted up because of thy beauty, thou hast corrupted thy wisdom by reason of thy brightness: I will cast thee to the ground, I will lay thee before kings, that they may behold thee.
[SUP]18[/SUP] Thou hast defiled thy sanctuaries by the multitude of thine iniquities, by the iniquity of thy traffick; therefore will I bring forth a fire from the midst of thee, it shall devour thee, and I will bring thee to ashes upon the earth in the sight of all them that behold thee.
[SUP]19[/SUP] All they that know thee among the people shall be astonished at thee: thou shalt be a terror, and never [shalt] thou [be] any more.
I dont really understand what is happening there. Its a bit confusing.

I agree that love is powerful but why would god let evil be in the world? Also if he knew satan was going to be evil why even create him in the first place? Thanks

What it says is that Satan was adorned with many precious jewels and was quite beautiful...however extremely vain. His heart was bitter because he felt he should have more. Greed. Encounters with this devil can be trod down with one word... Jesus. For Jesus died on the cross, went to hell, satan's domain and took care of it all...once and for all time. "At the name of Jesus, every knee shall bow". Satan in the world can be expelled by use of the Ever-Powerful name of Jesus.

If you read Job, you will find Satan asking God, "Have you considered your servant Job?"
Job was offering prayers for his sons, just in case they were sinning on the evenings they were out galavanting. He feared. As he feared, it came upon him when satan asked to 'sift him like wheat'. In other words...dig at him and hurt him emotionally, spiritually, physically in an attempt to separate him from God. God allowed satan to do this because when Adam sinned, adam gave away his rights to satan. If you read Genesis, you will see this as well. Adam had dominion over Eden and was told to go forth and take dominion over all things. Adam was with God. When he was created, God told Adam, not Eve, about the fruit of good and evil. Adam could have corrected Eve and we would still be in God's grace in that respect, however, as Adam was tempted to be 'more' as well, he fell and started the chaos turning. When Satan gained the dominion, God, who does not lie, had to allow it...for a time.

Jesus is the second Adam...he regained dominion and has given it to us to complete the process. He said, "You will see even greater things than these", concerning miracles we are able to perform because of our faith in Him.

God desires those who worship Him in Spirit and in Truth. If all of God's creation had no choice but to worship Him, how would that glorify Him? We are not bots, and neither are the angels. It is His great pleasure to have us choose for ourselves whom we shall follow out of authentic love for Him. No one can serve two masters: Either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will be devoted to the one and despise the other.

That is God telling Lucifer who he is, and what is about to happen to him. That's when Lucifer was cast out of heaven and became satan..

I dont really understand what is happening there. Its a bit confusing.

Oh that is interesting. All part of the plan to have good and evil. Cant have one without the other.
What you purport is to say that God has evil within Himself. Some people think of this world and universe as being polarized in such a way that it is impossible for one to exist without the other but... the world is the way it is because man chose to follow self will instead of the will of God, being led away by the pride of life and the lusts of the flesh, and their desire to be more wise, which caused the fall of all of creation.

I actually was not thinking that at all ,but that is an interesting way of looking at it. Im sure you are right though it just makes sense that god would in a way be both good and evil.

Speaking of Satan what is his story. Why was he asked to leave?
Satan got proud and wanted God's place.

Isaiah 14:13"But you said in your heart, 'I will ascend to heaven; I will raise my throne above the stars of God, And I will sit on the mount of assembly In the recesses of the north. 14I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will make myself like the Most High.'

Revelation 12:7-12New King James Version (NKJV)[h=3]Satan Thrown Out of Heaven[/h][SUP]7 [/SUP]And war broke out in heaven: Michael and his angels fought with the dragon; and the dragon and his angels fought, [SUP]8 [/SUP]but they did not prevail, nor was a place found for them[SUP][a][/SUP] in heaven any longer. [SUP]9 [/SUP]So the great dragon was cast out, that serpent of old, called the Devil and Satan, who deceives the whole world; he was cast to the earth, and his angels were cast out with him.

This is a description of Lucifer before he became Satan. He was created as one of God's most beautiful angels and had covering of precious stones. Was a covering cherub meaning next to God and his pipes meant he was made to sing beautifully.

Satan has challenged the character of God thinking he could do a better job after becoming proud because he was so beautiful and had a high position in heaven but that wasn't good enough for him he wanted all the power and to be equal with God.

When Adam and Eve fell that basically gave Satan free reign on the earth and we can now see when he is in charge what his world would be like. Everyone out for themselves, hatred, violence, selfishness....pain and suffering because of being so power hungry.

Satan hates us because God has given the humans a bridge in Jesus to be able to get back into harmony with God and he wants to destroy us.

You have said you cannot have good without evil. Do you know that Jesus rejected being called good, and said only God was good? So you saying good cannot exist without evil would mean you are saying that God has evil within Himself. That is definitely not what Scripture would lead anyone to believe.

"God is light, and in Him there is no darkness at all."
(1 John 1:5)

"God is not the author of confusion." (1 Corinthians 14:33)

I was agreeing with what you said in an earlier post. I must have read that wrong, but yes I do think that gods plan was to introduce evil at some point in time. Otherwise why create Satan in the first place.

I was not the one who said that good could not exist without evil, so you were not agreeing with me, but misunderstanding what I said; possibly the word purport threw you? And now you purport that it was part of God's plan to have evil be part and parcel of His good creation, to deliberately introduce evil into that which He saw as good, and ask why have Satan if not? While I have actually already answered this question, I shall draw your attention to it once again, and maybe add a bit to it:

God desires those who worship Him in Spirit and in Truth. If all of God's creation had no choice but to worship Him, how would that glorify Him? We are not bots, and neither are the angels. It is His great pleasure to have us choose for ourselves whom we shall follow out of authentic love for Him. No one can serve two masters: Either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will be devoted to the one and despise the other. He has given us a choice, and placed it well within our grasp: do we wish for good, or do we wish for evil? Do we want life, or do we want death? Will we follow Him, or will we follow anything else, making idols of any number of things after the fashion of the world. Choose this day whom you will serve...

#72 <~ I answered another question of yours concerning demons there :)

When I was younger I was told there was a god and I just accepted that. I never asked any questions. Over the years I have started questioning a lot of things. Mainly my own political and religious views. Ive noticed I feel so much better depending on myself instead of just praying for things to happen in my life. Things also actually get done. I wont say the fact prayer does not work for me is proof that god does not exist but it makes a feller think about things differently. My life has really improved since I stopped believing in god. I personally have nothing against religion other than when it is used to inflict pain on others. Like what is going on in the United States. I truly believe the world would be a better place without religion. Look at how many wars have been fought over differing ideas. How many people have died because of this. I look forward to chatting with you folks, thanks for having me.
