This headline, and story, are just sensationalized non-issues by the left.
1. This article is from Daily Kos, an extremely left-wing website that hate's Trump's very existence.
No surprise if they dislike everything he does, and everything he doesn't do.
2. The word "botched" is just ridiculous, inflammatory, and inaccurate.
The mission achieved it's objective.
During the process people got hurt on both sides.
This is what happens in war.
People die.
This is why we should avoid war as much as possible.
Did everything go perfectly?
No.
That's why war is bad.
We should avoid war as much as we can,
because people get hurt.
3. Trump being outside the situation room is a complete non-issue.
This military action had been planned for months, by experts, and it was carried out by experts.
There were multiple levels of military experts, on top of other military experts, all watching in command over other military experts.
Regardless of which room Trump is sitting in getting live updates,
all he's going to do is let the military experts run the military raid...
which is exactly what he SHOULD be doing.
Seriously, does anyone want a civilian on the radio telling operatives in the field how to change their minute-to-minute field tactics which he isn't trained to know anything about?
Of course not.
The president puts military experts in charge of military actions.
Then he lets them do their job, while he receives updates.
This whole deal is just a non-issue brought up by the left.
(The left makes a mountain out of non-issues every week.)
4.Civilians got hurt: this is always a bad thing, but I don't even form opinions on civilian casualties till I see multiple reports come in from all sides.
This is the type of issue that is almost always propagandized, and altered, during military actions.
Civilian casualties do occur, for all manner of different reasons - however, it's also a common statistic for people to INFLATE, or even FABRICATE in order to PROPAGANDIZE. This happens in many military actions.
I have no opinion on this till multiple reports come in from all sides.
FYI: there are countless instances of civilian casualties being inflated, deflated, or even wholly fabricated, by BOTH sides, during many military actions. You can find video footage proving this. It's extremely hard for us to know what really happens in a nighttime raid across the globe on another continent... at least for a while.
