Can you not admit that an investigator or interrogator HAS to view and assume every incoming immigrant is a possible terrorist? If he/she did not, they would not be doing their job, and even you would be among those screaming for their heads if they ignored a possible threat, and the one that they thought was "nice", and just let come on in, blew up your child's school.

I have been involved with Law Enforcement most of my life, and I have learned that many of them just get sick and tired of the criminal element of ANY population. They will not survive if they take the attitude that every man is innocent until proven guilty. That luxury is reserved for the courts where the defendants are unarmed and present no threat to the judges.

I'll be more than happy to "let it go" if he refuses to read the post where he blanketed "all Muslims". I've done my part and brought it to his attention, he's refused it, and I can wash my hands knowing I did my best to show the truth as well as show I "don't just hear what I want to hear" and that I "don't make stuff up."
Speaking of the presumption of innocence, it's what separates our country from many parts of the world. If a law enforcement officer is fed up with that concept, they are in the wrong profession.

Do you think even one soldier or marine considers not squeezing the trigger on a total stranger 100 yards away because of some rhetoric that "our great nation" is above slaughtering whole populations in the name of 'oil' or 'territory'? Don't kid yourself with all that propaganda you hear. We condemn our enemies to being GUILTY, so we can claim INNOCENSE. Trump nailed it the other night with Bill O'Riley......... We have more INNOCENT blood on our collective national hands than many of those little countries involved in dust-ups all around the world.

You might be right. It took 4 or 5 posts of my saying the same thing for them to realize I wasn't talking about any type of ban but instead responding to an ignorant blanketed statement made about "all Muslims" (including the ones who died in the service of the US).
I mean, I have emotions as well... but just because I can contain my emotions, actually READ what people are saying, respond to substance rather than attack them personally doesn't mean I'm some sort of liberal sociopath. I've seen more objective people willing to discuss substantively on reddit.

I don't know every Muslim in the military... for this reason I refuse to make such a blanketed statement. It only "seems" like I'm making a blanketed statement to you when I object to "all Muslims" being evil cowards who are patient warriors. It's kind of sad really.

This is exactly what cowards do who dont' want to actually progress or move forward in their lives. Just want to constantly harp thru the poor visibility of the muddy waters they like to swim in. The fact is that I don't really care how smart or cultured you think you are. I'd just like to leave a country worth leaving for my kid that isn't overrun with stupidity. Might be too late.....sad.
