I will talk about what ever you want. Lets just agree to a intellectual exchange of what ever knowledge and wisdom we possess knowing that your not going to come to the same conclusion I did about Jesus, and I am not going to denounce him.

If you don't mind me using the OT and NT terminology. I know you don't subscribe to that.

The story of Joseph is in the OT.
I am very very welcome your question “Why do you think that way about Joseph?”

Only seemingly to you that I do not wish to share the glory of god with others. I agreed to talk about the bible and the lessons but we have to talk about the bible.
Example; let’s talk about the story of Adam and Eve, do you want to do that? Can you do that without connecting the story to Jesus?
Why would you wish to talk about Scripture but leave out the purpose of Scripture?

He disrespected his brothers although they worked to put a roof over his head and food on the table. He told them that he dreamed that they will bow to him and you should understand that anyone will be upset about that. Also Jacob favored him because he was Rachel’s son and that is not a good way to raise kids. Can you see the problems he created for himself?

Yes I can.
Why are you asking me this? Is it because of how things ended up with his dream coming to be reality? And the 2 split tribes coming from him?
Do you have issue with that?

I believe scripture is essentially Gods love letters to us.
A broader answer is that scripture enables us to know God and His connection to the world and us and his plan for his people and the world.

But all three patriarch families were dysfunctional in some ways.
It did not start with Joseph.
Look what Abraham did in Egypt with his lying about his wife.

His dream only looks like it became a reality it is Joseph that actually bow to the man that sold him to slavery. I am glad you notice that 2 tribes came out of him but no tribe name after him. of course I don’t have issue with that.

What is the purpose of Scripture?
Scripture points to God and God's plan for humanity through Jesus Christ. To talk of Adam and Eve and leave out the purpose of being told of Adam and Eve in the first place, and the lesson... what would be the point? All are born into Adam and are in need of Spiritual rebirth in order to be reconciled back to God through the covering of blood provided by Jesus Christ Who WILLINGLY gave His life out of His great love for you.

But eventually his brothers did bow down to Joseph, no?
