So when I sin and mess up I am his enemy but when I am obedient I am his child then? Seems pretty fickle to me, either I am his child or I am his enemy who I am to him cannot be based on my own works.

Ive sinned means you havent sinned in a while then...

Only one thing wrong with this statement..........ISSSSSSSSSS joyce mayers who has dedicated her life to the lord believes she sins daily... and so do i because i will never honor my earthly father... end of............ if this makes me a sinner i have an advocate with the father........NOT AN ADCOVATE WITH YOU...

The Lord gave us the commandments for a good reason. When you disobey them, you cause trouble.

No that isn't what it means it just means he admits he is not perfect and has sinned in his life, maybe I don't know resurrection as well as you do but I think it unwise to assume what a person is saying like that

True but to say that when we sin we are his enemy defeats the entire purpose of salvation, I mean I don't know if you have had children but let me put it this way. I f a child of yours disobeys you when you look at them do you see them as an enemy or or they still your child?

They can only be one or the other every parent either loves or hates their children their children are either their child or they are en enemy there is no in between. And is a parents love for their child decided on how well they obey them? Does a mother call her son her son only as long as he obeys her? does a father call his daughter his daughter depending on how well she listens to him?

To understand how God sees us and feels about us we cannot look at him and think of him as simply an all powerful being, to truly see and understand how he sees and feels about us we have to look at him as a father- a loving parent.

If your child is purposely causing trouble, he needs to be disciplined.

I agree. if a child isn't disciplined then they turn into spoiled brats, I agree with much of what you said except the enemy part I think enemy is perhaps the wrong word to use
