For those that know that there is no second baptism of the Holy Ghost or any more filling of Him when we are filled as promised at our salvation for coming to & believing in Jesus Christ....

Those that err will try to fit the second baptism or extra filling in the Book of Acts while ignoring that no such seeking is exhorted in any of the epistles.

Acts 4:[SUP]7 [/SUP]And when they had set them in the midst, they asked, By what power, or by what name, have ye done this?[SUP]8 [/SUP]Then Peter, filled with the Holy Ghost, said unto them, Ye rulers of the people, and elders of Israel,

Peter was not being supernaturally filled with the Holy Ghost, but coming off of the question put to Paul, the Holy Spirit was speaking through Paul.

Peter was not falling backward, flopping all over the ground like a fish out of water, nor was he babbling nonsense in front of the people that was asking him a question; believe me, there is no need for the Holy Spirit to use another language in speaking to them. That is what is meant that Peter was filled with the Holy Ghost in HOW he was answering those questions so as to leave no doubt that Peter was acting on his own authority nor speaking his own words to speak to them.

Backing up a bit:

Acts 4:1And as they spake unto the people, the priests, and the captain of the temple, and the Sadducees, came upon them,[SUP]2 [/SUP]Being grieved that they taught the people, and preached through Jesus the resurrection from the dead.[SUP]3 [/SUP]And they laid hands on them, and put them in hold unto the next day: for it was now eventide.[SUP]4 [/SUP]Howbeit many of them which heard the word believed; and the number of the men was about five thousand.

So many believed them but the two got arrested. It is this company of prospective believers that Peter & John went to after their release. These were new believers before they had received the promise of the Holy Ghost when they had prayed that they would be able to preach with boldness as Peter & John had done as it is then when they were saved.

Acts 4:[SUP]23 [/SUP]And being let go, they went to their own company, and reported all that the chief priests and elders had said unto them.[SUP]24 [/SUP]And when they heard that, they lifted up their voice to God with one accord, and said, Lord, thou art God, which hast made heaven, and earth, and the sea, and all that in them is:[SUP]25 [/SUP]Who by the mouth of thy servant David hast said, Why did the heathen rage, and the people imagine vain things?[SUP]26 [/SUP]The kings of the earth stood up, and the rulers were gathered together against the Lord, and against his Christ.[SUP]27 [/SUP]For of a truth against thy holy child Jesus, whom thou hast anointed, both Herod, and Pontius Pilate, with the Gentiles, and the people of Israel, were gathered together, [SUP]28 [/SUP]For to do whatsoever thy hand and thy counsel determined before to be done.29And now, Lord, behold their threatenings: and grant unto thy servants, that with all boldness they may speak thy word,[SUP]30 [/SUP]By stretching forth thine hand to heal; and that signs and wonders may be done by the name of thy holy child Jesus.[SUP]31 [/SUP]And when they had prayed, the place was shaken where they were assembled together; and they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and they spake the word of God with boldness.[SUP]32 [/SUP]And the multitude of them that believed were of one heart and of one soul: neither said any of them that ought of the things which he possessed was his own; but they had all things common.[SUP]33 [/SUP]And with great power gave the apostles witness of the resurrection of the Lord Jesus: and great grace was upon them all.[SUP]34 [/SUP]Neither was there any among them that lacked: for as many as were possessors of lands or houses sold them, and brought the prices of the things that were sold,[SUP]35 [/SUP]And laid them down at the apostles' feet: and distribution was made unto every man according as he had need.[SUP]36 [/SUP]And Joses, who by the apostles was surnamed Barnabas, (which is, being interpreted, The son of consolation,) a Levite, and of the country of Cyprus,[SUP]37 [/SUP]Having land, sold it, and brought the money, and laid it at the apostles' feet.

Notice the other reactions of the new believers in how they had come together as new believers in sharing all that they have as a community of new believers. So this was the "they" that had prayed and received the promise.

No one can say that Peter & John were filled again for they prayed that they would speak in the same boldness as Peter & John, and the pivotal point was these new company of believers got saved at that moment.

So may the Lord help you to see that today's wayward believers try to fit their extra supernatural experience apart from salvation into scripture without actually reading the text for why it was written in the way that it was written.

You will not find any exhortations for the church to give to new believers to seek after an extra filling.

Ephesians 5:18 And be not drunk with wine, wherein is excess; but be filled with the Spirit;

Do not be drunk with wine is past tense. So that means remain sober; not seeking to be filled with the Spirit but remain filled with the Spirit; past tense, thus having the fruit of the Spirit which is temperance which means self control. Remain in self control. Hence remain sober.

1 Thessalonians 5:6Therefore let us not sleep, as do others; but let us watch and be sober. [SUP]7 [/SUP]For they that sleep sleep in the night; and they that be drunken are drunken in the night. [SUP]8 [/SUP]But let us, who are of the day, be sober, putting on the breastplate of faith and love; and for an helmet, the hope of salvation.

You see any call to be filled with the Spirit supernaturally again to be or remain sober here? No. Because there isn't any.

Titus 2:12Teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world;

1 Peter 4:7But the end of all things is at hand: be ye therefore sober, and watch unto prayer.

So do not let any body seduce you into chasing after the "Holy Spirit" to receive after a sign, even the sign of tongues which never comes with interpretation, when He is already within you by faith in Jesus Christ as promised at your salvation.

Galatians 3:[SUP]14 [/SUP]That the blessing of Abraham might come on the Gentiles through Jesus Christ; that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith.........[SUP]26 [/SUP]For ye are all the children of God by faith in Christ Jesus.[SUP]27 [/SUP]For as many of you as have been baptized into Christ have put on Christ.[SUP]28 [/SUP]There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus.[SUP]29 [/SUP]And if ye be Christ's, then are ye Abraham's seed, and heirs according to the promise.

This other calling of this other baptism of the "Holy Spirit" after a sign or these extra supernatural fillings of the Spirit moves away from the testimony above & below because it preaches an extra baptism & an extra filling that other believers does not have when they were saved by faith in Jesus Christ. This changed our testimony above and below.

1 Corinthians 12:[SUP]13 [/SUP]For by one Spirit are we all baptized into one body, whether we be Jews or Gentiles, whether we be bond or free; and have been all made to drink into one Spirit.

Ephesians 1:[SUP]11 [/SUP]In whom also we have obtained an inheritance, being predestinated according to the purpose of him who worketh all things after the counsel of his own will:[SUP]12 [/SUP]That we should be to the praise of his glory, who first trusted in Christ.[SUP]13 [/SUP]In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise,[SUP]14 [/SUP]Which is the earnest of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession, unto the praise of his glory.[SUP]15 [/SUP]Wherefore I also, after I heard of your faith in the Lord Jesus, and love unto all the saints,

Romans 8:[SUP]9 [/SUP]But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his.

I know that what they are experiencing is real, but that is the spirit of the antichrist we were warned about that would take our eyes off of the Bridegroom and chase after them in the market place, seeking to be filled again & again & again.

So may Christ continue to help us rest in Him to wait for the Bridegroom while praying normally to give the Father thanks in Jesus's name for answers to known prayers as the testimony of us being filled with the Spirit is the testimony that we are saved by faith in Jesus Christ after hearing the gospel. That is the only baptism of the Spirit that is given by the Father as promised that glorifies the Lord Jesus Christ at our salvation and at no other time. Amen.

Matthew 9:17Neither do men put new wine into old bottles: else the bottles break, and the wine runneth out, and the bottles perish: but they put new wine into new bottles, and both are preserved.

It is because we are saved is why we are no longer leaky vessels that hunger nor thirst any more to be filled.

John 6:
[SUP]35 [/SUP]And Jesus said unto them, I am the bread of life: he that cometh to me shall never hunger; and he that believeth on me shall never thirst.

I agree, once you receive the Holy Spirit you have the Holy Spirit. How we walk on a daily basis determines whether or not we are filled with the Spirit.

You know I don't know about being baptized the holy spirit twice as I don't see why he would need to do that once he has already branded you with his spirit but he does fill us again and for some quite often. I can't even begin to count how many times I was suddenly out of nowhere filled with this immense feeling of love a kind of love that just cannot be explained or how many times I felt like there was rushing water flowing inside me I felt refreshed I felt clean I felt like there was life in me as if i was thirsty for so long and then suddenly I get the most amazing water or how many times I suddenly felt a kind wind blow through me inside or at least that is how it felt I felt peace and joy I could somehow feel that I was intimately closer to God.

these kinds of fillings I believe he does but I have never heard of a second baptism of the holy spirit

Seems like you have your minds made up..... It's not my business what you choose, I just ask that you don't push that jargon off on others. I know what I have, & you've come waay too late to tell me otherwise.

It is crazy when one tries to tell another who, and what they are in our Lord Jesus. its almost like if i stick my hand in cold water knowing it felt cold, and someone tried convincing me the water is hot, and not cold.

I agree, once you receive the Holy Spirit you have the Holy Spirit. How we walk on a daily basis determines whether or not we are filled with the Spirit.
That is why we are accountable to what we sow towards all the time as filled with the Spirit since we are still in this corruptible flesh. If we sow to the works of the flesh, we shall reap corruption; if we sow to the fruits of the Spirit, life everlasting. So there is no more supernaturally filling because we ae always filled with the Spirit so we can live as His by His grace & by His help as we trust Jesus Christ as our Good Shepherd to help us to follow Him since He is in us always as promised.

That is why there is no more supernatural filling of the Holy Ghost as we need Him in us to take the fruits of righteousness from the Son Whom is finishing His work in us.

Philippians 1:[SUP]6 [/SUP]Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ:..........[SUP]11 [/SUP]Being filled with the fruits of righteousness, which are by Jesus Christ, unto the glory and praise of God.

To seek to receive the Holy Spirit when He is already within us, is to deny we are filled with Him as promised at our salvation to no longer seek to be filled by Him.
