Holy Ghost takes over...It's no longer my thoughts or me...but it's the power of God.

I believe in a true genuine power of God, but I have also seen many fake spirits. You can take this new Charismatic movement for example. What I've seen of it has not jived with me so far. I'm not saying they are all fakers but what I've seen hasn't looked holy in the least. People up bouncing off of each other, dancing like they were at a bar, running into walls, women falling out on the ground with their skirts flipped almost over their heads....etc.

When it is of God it is holy and decent...when it's not well then you see things like I just mentioned.

“And thou shalt eat it as barley cakes,
and thou shalt bake it with dung that cometh out of man, in their sight.”

This is pretty silly folks. Everyone has the right to worship God the way they feel like is right. It is a one on one relationship with God and everyone is different. So I’m sure God knows what we all need spiritually and comes to each of us as individuals.

So what bothers me is how people call others evil or say they have evil spirits for how they choose to worship God. It is between them and God.

God knows the hearts of everyone and he will not let any be deceived or misled if they put their trust and faith in him.

My faith is in God so I can worship him with anyone without being afraid because I know God will not allow me to be misled or deceived.

He gives us discernment and if we feel uncomfortable with something it is best to walk away from it and shake the dust off your feet.
Hi 1ofthem, of course has everybody the right to worship the Lord in the way he/she wants! But this was BigJa was talking about has nothing to do with worshipping. Drunk in the Spirit sounds me something what the Spirit is doing with someone. And I cant find in the bible that the Holy Spirit is directing ore manipulating someone in this way!

It is in there. You have to look harder. You have to look where it is at.

Hello Wolfwint...I think were most people get the saying drunk in the Spirit or what I've heard most people say is drunk off the new wine is from Pentecost in Acts 2
Others mocked them saying, ‘They are filled with new wine'” (2:13). Even Peter would later respond to this accusation by saying “These people are not drunk, as you suppose, since it is only the third hour of the day” (2:15).

If people do things like that of their ownselves to try and get praise from men or for whatever reason...I would personally consider it more offensive than dung.

But you can find something in the Bible that tells us that the Holy Spirit would not direct any one in that way.

Proverbs 25:[SUP]26[/SUP]A righteous man falling down before the wicked is as a troubled fountain, and a corrupt spring.[SUP]27 [/SUP]It is not good to eat much honey: so for men to search their own glory is not glory.[SUP]28 [/SUP]He that hath no rule over his own spirit is like a city that is broken down, and without walls.

I quoted it to you from the Book of Ezekiel.

Yeah well, I guess I didn't truly understand what your relation to it was here. But where in Ezekiel did you quote it from. I don't like just reading one verse. I like to read the whole thing so I can get it in context.

Do you have to eat the whole pie to know what it is?

If one verse is not the truth then the whole chapter is not the truth.

You have to take and eat the whole word of God, don't you? Can't just take what we like and spit out the rest, can we?

Things have to be taken in context. It's called rightly dividing the word of God. You can't just take one verse out and apply it anywhere else you want in the rest of the Bible. It has to make sense and be in context.

You can take the truth and apply it to everything and anywhere. It is never out of context.

I don't need you to tell me anything...and I think I said this to you before but here it goes again...if you've got something to say then say it, cause I'm not into your game of 21 questions and guessing games.

You've got a lot to learn...

And Here's a question for you since you like questions....What do you think rightly dividing the word means?
