You've got a lot to learn...

And Here's a question for you since you like questions....What do you think rightly dividing the word means?
It means the total of the sum must equal the equation.

My take on this is that God is not the author of confusion so anything that is not bringing glory to God that parallels with Bible teaching of sharing and spreading the gospel.... is usually a duck quacking... If it talks like a duck walks like a duck it usually is one.

So if you apply this here you have said to everything
you will never be deceived.
Is this true?

It is in there. You have to look harder. You have to look where it is at.
No, i don't need too look. I know it is not there! So this drunk in the spirit is not a Christian way to expierience the Holy Spirit, even when the defender of this false teaching useing to explain it with acts 2. I don't know which Spirit you have invitet for that, it is not God the Holy Spirit!

The experience being called "drunk in the spirit" is not found in the NT, therefore it becomes necessary for those who claim that it is a move of God, to explain why they are willing to accept something, that the NT does not define as being from God. The mark of a true Christian has always been to believe that the NT is the final word from God and a sure way to know what is of God and what is not of God. If drunk in the spirit cannot be found in the NT, or has to be pretended to be found by dishonest manipulation, then the only obvious answer is that it is demonic spirits. There have been mighty angels that fell away to Satan that can be extremely attractive. Look at the angel that showed John the Revelation(a good angel) John fell down at his feet to worship him. Those who did all the idol worshipping were having experiences with attractive spirit beings. Pentecostalism was founded on uneducated people yielding themselves to spiritual powers. It is very dangerous to yield yourself to any spirit that does not fit the examples given in the NT.

There are valid manifestations of the spirit when it comes in contact with human flesh??? That is typical Pentecostal speech and it does not make scriptural sense. Christians have the constant presence of the Holy Spirit in their physical bodies...so where does this idea of the "spirit coming in contact with human flesh" come from?
Folks, I am not putting down a real experience with the Lord, I have been there. However a real experience with the Lord should have an example in the bible so that we know that it is a real experience with the Lord and not something else.
Oh... maybe from God. After all it did descend from Heaven and fall upon Jesus.

But you are right if you have it within you
then why would you feel it when the manifestation takes place all around you? I knew from what you had previously stated to me that you had never experienced being drunk on the manifestation of the Holy Ghost. Neither have most people...they just believe they had.

The manifestation of the Holy Ghost is very rare these days. Satan has counterfeited it.
That is why you have all these people like you believing you have experienced the Spirit of the Lord.
The Manifestation you are talking about is spiritism, but not the acting of the Holy Spirit which is given to all who believe in Jesus Christ and are borne again!
I know from what you have stated to me that you have never experienced being drunk on the manifestation of the Holy Ghost. Neither have most people...they just believe they had.
I never want expierience spiritism!!
Well...you experience it everyday all day long.
I guess you are just not aware of it. Anytime you converse with another human being you are conversing with a spirit.
So it seems to me you dont know what is spiritism!
So tell me what is a spirit?
Well, I did not spoke about spirit, but about spiritsm. So I give you an defination from wikipedia:

Spiritism is a spiritualistic philosophy codified in the 19th century by the French educator Hippolyte Léon Denizard Rivail, under the codename Allan Kardec; it proposed the study of "the nature, origin, and destiny of spirits, and their relation with the corporeal world".[1] Spiritism soon spread to other countries, having today 35 countries represented in the International Spiritist Council.[2]

Spiritism postulates that humans are essentially immortal spirits that temporarily inhabit physical bodies for several necessary incarnations to attain moral and intellectual improvement. It also asserts that spirits, through passive or active mediumship, may have beneficent or maleficent influence on the physical world.[3] " from wikipedia

This has absolutly nothing to do with the Holy Spirit! And what you are describing reminds me things which you can find in spiritism.
Yeah...but I have been drunk on the Holy Ghost many times. You haven't at all.
I do not believe that this was God the Holy Spirit! So in your case I would be careful for what Spirit you are open yourself!
How many times in your life have you believed one thing
to find out later on what you believed was not true?

I will tell you...way to many times for me to put any trust in you.
Of course you should not put your trust in me! I am a stranger for you! But it seems me you trust every Spirit! I know for shure that it was not God the Holy Spirit you was drunk with! You should not believe every Spirit says the word of God!
How many times in your life have you known for shure that it was not God the Holy Spirit
or it was God the Holy Spirit to find out later on that you were deceived by the devil?

How many?
Well ...
add this time to that long long long list of times
you were deceived by the devil.
Till now? So far i can remember. Zero!

Hi 1ofthem, of course has everybody the right to worship the Lord in the way he/she wants! But this was BigJa was talking about has nothing to do with worshipping. Drunk in the Spirit sounds me something what the Spirit is doing with someone. And I cant find in the bible that the Holy Spirit is directing ore manipulating someone in this way!
It is in there. You have to look harder. You have to look where it is at.

1 Samuel
Chapter 19

19 And it was told Saul, saying, Behold, David is at Naioth in Ramah.

20 And Saul sent messengers to take David: and when they saw the company of the prophets prophesying, and Samuel standing as appointed over them, the Spirit of God was upon the messengers of Saul, and they also prophesied.

21 And when it was told Saul, he sent other messengers, and they prophesied likewise. And Saul sent messengers again the third time, and they prophesied also.

22 Then went he also to Ramah, and came to a great well that is in Sechu: and he asked and said, Where are Samuel and David? And one said, Behold, they be at Naioth in Ramah.

23 And he went thither to Naioth in Ramah: and the Spirit of God was upon him also, and he went on, and prophesied, until he came to Naioth in Ramah.

24 And he stripped off his clothes also, and prophesied before Samuel in like manner, and lay down naked all that day and all that night.
Wherefore they say, Is Saul also among the prophets?

A Pentecostal practice is to manipulate the bible in order to make it appear that what they are doing is correct. Is 1 Samuel 19 suppose to be a justification for drunk in the spirit? Saul went to Naioth in order to murder David, he was on a mission of murder with murder in his heart, this was a way that God used to stop a murderer. So if you want to get drunk in the spirit then plan a murder and along the way you will encounter God who will make you drunk in the spirit, OK.

Hallo rtbornagain, I dont think that 1. Samuel 19 has to do with that what we find as drunk in the Spirit since the " toronto blessings" in 1994. And also this is not taught in the scripture for us as believers in Jesus Christ. But you can find this in other religions and in sects!

To get drunk you have to drink. I drink the blood of Jesus Christ.

Here it is in the text.

John 6:56
He that eateth my flesh, and drinketh my blood, dwelleth in me, and I in him.

You will not be able to understand. You have a carnal mind.

And you have never drunk the blood of Jesus Christ.

First, that was the OT not the church. Second, everybody that Saul sent to arrest David prophesied. Nobody was drunk in the spirit they prophesied. This did not happened to nice church folks at a church meeting, it happened to men who were trying to murder David, it was obviously a way that God used to protect David.

drunk is the worst wrong word - renewed, refreshed, rewarded.........................................

The reason that the word drunk is used is because the people actually act as if they are drunk. They do not look, renewed, refreshed, or rewarded, they look drunk.
