why are you even posting in my thread if your making things personal. iasked it to be a good thread.. not a crap one.
You can't ask it to be a good thread.
It either is or it isn't.

And using nasty expressions tells it to be a bad one.

befor the spirit came down are you saying no one was saved in the old testement ?.

You cant assume your own salvation it hasnt happend yet not until the day of redemption.
You can give up your faith tomorrow walk away from God and marry a gay. so could i but im not going too its just a point.
Here is a link that explains how people without Christ will be judged: How can God fairly judge those who do not get a chance to hear about Jesus? | Questions & Answers

You are in no place to tell me that I can't have confidence about thevresult of my judgement. I have much confidence for I know that in this world I was like Him (1 John 4:17)

I know Christ is in the Father, I am in Him, and He is in me. (John 14:20)

So what were you saying? I will have boldness on that great day of judgement, thank you.

Can I just try a completely different way again? I, forever, seem unable to answer your polls. And quite often, I don't even get your polls. So, how about I just tell you what I think, and if it happens to be either choice for your poll let me know, and I'll chose that answer. Seem fair?.
No because its the same as when Jesus cast out demons they can come back.. and in the case of being drowned.. you could get drowed again..

Saved. It's both a verb and a noun. I save you from drowning, and after I do that you remained saved. Seem about right?

So, here's my dilema. Jesus saved (verb) us, therefore we are saved (noun).

What did he save us from? Well, we're sinners, and God can't look at sinful people, so he had to separate himself from us. And, he is a just God, so he has to judge us and execute the punishment. We're guilty. We sinned. And the execution is set -- we die for our sins, and then spend eternity in Hell. So, when Jesus took on that punishment for us, (because Just God gave that as part of the Law. The Scapegoat Clause, which is if someone is willing to take on the punishment of the guilty party, he/she can as long as he/she never did that same sin. And since we've managed to do every sin in the Law, only one who is sinless could take on that punishment, and he did. His name is Jesus. He was 100% Man and also always is 100% God), we are no longer up for trial. He did that for us.

So, Jesus saved us from separation from God, death, and Hell.

He saved (verb) us from death, and therefore we are saved (noun).

I do get, at the end, there will be Judgement Day, but God didn't keep the judgement a secret. Those that he saved, (past tense, because Jesus did that close to 2000 years ago), are saved, (present tense because we're still saved), and will be saved, (future tense because of Judgement Day.)

That's what I believe.

Does that fit under either of your choices? Because I find myself truly unable to determine what your choices meant, so only you will know IF you get what I'm saying.
I dont want anyone to fit under what my beliefs and poll i simply want to understand people beliefs. whats so diffucult about that. ?
So you believe in once saved allways saved.. good for you if you know your not going to abandon your faith.. but like i said earlier i could marry a gay tomorrow and get ran over by a bus the next day..

... have you totally forgotten that you asked me the question about how people were saved in the old testament AND rudely told me that I can't "assume my salvation"..... post 41..

You are absolutely wrong about that last part too. That was a foolish and dark thing to say to someone you don't even know jimbo.

Jimbo,
No apology necessary since you weren't speaking to me.

However, I would like to say this, and I don't mean to derail this thread but I feel this is important.

YOU say that buffoon means to act silly.
We're not allowed to make up our own definitions of words. If we do that, we would not be able to understand each other anymore!! Maybe this expression should b e removed from your vocabulary since you honestly do not know what it means.

Here is the meaning. It's not pleasant!:

2. A person given to clowning and joking.
3. A ludicrous or bumbling person; a fool.

Salvation is being born of the spirit...as in a spiritual birth......
Being born of the spirit can happen when your baptised.. (and would you agree).

Baptism as you know is being saved if the person being baptised is truly seeking God with all his heart and all his mind.
Now this is not salvation my friend this is start of your walk,,

You know that when you keep the faith your also rewarded,,, maybe even a mirracle my friend.. love you bro :D

Ohhhh! It worked. Now I know what you're asking. :D

OSAS? Yes, I do believe that, but with an add on: "but be sure you were once saved."

In my denomination that's the P in TULIP. "Perseverance of the Saints." Yes, God saves but once. But it takes quite a bit to come under the realization it is saved. The realization doesn't come until a lot of perseverance happens.

(And if I saved you from drowning, and you drowned the next day? I still saved you from drowning... once. lol)

If I can't know I have it
How could I be joyful?
You can have the spirit and abandon your faith thats it mate end of.

can you see the diffrence. bewteen once saved and always saved now.

Or maybe many people think there saved but havent actually recieved the spirit yet.

In other words i generaly belief that anyone can be baptised and recieve the spirit. and i mean anyone. the enlightenment is your not anyone and as you know anyone can abandon there faith and become a radicalist....

I have to say im quite shocked of the poll result here.

I dont want to take anyones hope of salvation away but i would like for people to hope for salvation.

(Matthew 24:13) "But he who shall endure to the end, the same shall be saved."

(my interpratation of this we can be saved until the end but salvation comes at the end..

(Mark 16:16 RPT) "He who believed and was baptised shall be saved;"(Ahain it speaks of being saved untill the end but doesnt include salvation.

(Acts 15:11) "But we believe that through the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ we shall be saved, even as they."

Again this saying you are saved your on the right path so to speak..

(Romans 13:11) "for now is our salvation nearer than when we believed.

"Of course it is because youve excepted Jesus but please note this mentions nearer meaning your salvation hasnt been declared yet..

(you are to hope and pray for it.)

(Philippians 2:12) "work out your own salvation with fear and trembling."

(keep the faith).

(1 Peter 1:5 RPT) "Who are being kept by the power of God through faith for salvation ready to be revealed in the last time.".

(this scipture well and truly points out you can be saved until the end but salvation isnt for us to decide rather we are to work out are own salvation without fear or trembling.. and for me there is only one way to work this out and that is as long as you keep the faith and dont abandon it then your salvation is nearer to the end..
