A black man's perspective

Division... division.... division.... I REFUSE to play the division game.

There are the saved, and the unsaved. I'd like there to be more saved. I'll preach the Gospel and love people. That's the ONLY healing I've EVER seen to be effective.
Very Interesting article. After listening to It,I realized that the problem Is much more complex and deep rooted from a longgg time of retarding and oppressing the truth. You shall know the truth and the truth will set you free Is not only beneficial for salvation of the spirit of man,Its also beneficial for our souls/minds..IMO,the only way for this to be fixed Is to not hold on to the anger of the past and man can't do that, only GOD can fix It.

So then I like what PennEd posted.

Those who want friends must first show themselves to be approachable,THIS IMO goes both ways.Somebody might ask,how would I know that can trust them by outward display.

We walk by faith and not by sight.

I choose my "friends" very carefully. I've let my guard down for enough snakes in the past. And your religious piety coupled with your left wing drivel makes me run very far from you. I remember your history here going all the way back to the start of the election and how you presented yourself. Very deceitful in my opinion. Then you publicly took credit for something you did not do and got caught. Then when you got caught you justified and excused it. Ya....I choose my friends very carefully.

I would love to try to cast myself is some sort of 'righteous' light by saying I am not prejudiced. But I know that I am.

I am prejudiced racially, economically, societally, and industriously. Even religiously and politically.

But, I find some small satisfaction in a glimmer of redemption in my personality through the fact that I do fairly consistently attempt to overcome its complete take-over of my perceptions.

Would that I could do more, but for now, I shall be satisfied with what degree of civility that I can muster.

No Willie. You are good guy and you want the best for people. Unfortunately, what that looks like for people who would rather justify their circumstance and bad attitudes is that you hate them. It makes it easier for them to stay stuck when they have someone to blame.

I pretty firmly believe we all are.... about one thing or another. The person who tells you they are not influenced by biases and prejudices, will probably lie about other things, as well.

I agree with you indeed. I think it is fairly evident, and I think it is amazing the mental gymnastics displayed in people trying to convince themselves that they are not which if you think about it only proves all the moreso that they are.

But, is that, in and of itself, a bad thing? Probably not.

If you feel it is right and honorable to work for your living, you are very naturally going to view someone who scoffs at a working man as a fool, with some prejudice about their integrity and uprightness. Do you just smile at the woman who just paid for two carts full of groceries that included steaks, wine and snacks with a Welfare Card..... things you resist buying because of your income limit.... as she climbs into this year's Cadillac? I seriously doubt any of us do. I know I sure don't.

Some people more than others tho. And some biases and prejudices are good and can save your life. We have a brain and a nervous system that has built in systems to protect us and even keep us alive. It's the mental midgets that wield theirs without good will or love. Most people spend their lives only building roads to the hypo-campus.

****without goodwill, love or rational thought. Such is the nature of fallen man. Roads to the emotional part of the brain are automatically built if roads to the prefrontal cortex aren't intentionally built.

Well I kinda think it is a bad thing, if you are meaning lying to yourself and the mental gymnastics. If you are meaning if it is a bad thing to have intrinsic bias, I guess it depends what that bias makes you do. For me it just makes me curious, I'll usually just ask, I've always been pretty upfront.

If you're asking me these questions, personally I smile at the lady on welfare just as much as the hardest carnal worker. I really have no regard for their personage or job titles or how much money they make. For me it is much more about how you will treat me rather than how you treat yourself. I don't really care about the cars they drive or the money they spend. When you walk everywhere all cars look same to you, but it does make me think a lot of them welfare queens in their fabulous cars have offered me rides despite not knowing me at all or only very briefly, but never a single rich man has done the same.

As for living outside your means, well for me personally I don't really resist buying anything, I never been big on shopping, when I go out to the store I all ready know what I want. I see a lot of people do live outside their means though, but it's their name and their credit or debt to take. I don't have much by way of worldly riches, but at the same time I don't really need much either. So for me that subject is kind of a moot point.

Is the Bible biased? Is God biased? Is justice itself biased? Do people who love evil and injustice as equally biased as those who love love justice and good?

I could see where it might not affect you if you aren't one of the people whose money she is spending..... while you can't afford the same luxuries you are forced to be providing for her.

How do you figure that? If you pay taxes that places that money at her disposal, that is. In my book, if you or your family didn't earn it, it isn't yours.

Well way I figure the government decided well before I was born they were going to give money to the poor or disabled or whatever. We as a People made a promise via the government. So when they hand that money to the welfare recipient that money is then the welfare recipient's money. The only strings attached is the qualification to receive the money, ain't no strings attached to how they want to spend it. Ain't my place to tell them what to do with their money. At the most I could offer advice, but ultimately the choice is theirs.

Its nasas money. Who are you to judge them for spending it to deceive you?
Exactly, let them do their job of spreading nationalist propaganda and anti-Biblical heresies. Ain't my job to believe it.

well then to be consistent you need to be quiet about it. Don't you think? Or is siience the same as consent?
