Then all you are saying is exactly what I am saying you believe.
Of course we believe in Christ and His washing us clean, but we have to walk in this or we are in unbelief.
How clean is that?

It would seem not washed clean enough to fit your works in respect to your own self-righteousness theology. What do you do when you do sin; crucify Christ over each time? Either we crucify Him over and over or he washes us over and over.

No man can serve two masters.

We either serve Christ who worked to secure our salvation by a"work" of His faith a labor of His love, or you work according to your human faith (the imaginations of one’s heart).

Can’t serve Christ and be self-serving as those who think they will be found with a righteousness of themselves..

Christ did all of the work by which we are saved .It is called redemption. The better thing that does accompany salvation. And not a kick start placing one where Adam and Eve were before they violated one law.

Remember the grace of Christ which comes from Christ’s work of faith by which any man is saved is all that is required.
If we do, and all men do deny Him in unbelief. He will turn us as new creatures towards Himself so that we then can do the work of repenting. He cannot deny himself that he has washed us and continue to to the very end

The grace (truth and mercy) of God teaches us to say no to ungodliness. Subjecting oneself to bondage by following the letter of the law is the recipe of the man in Mathew 7.He offered wonderful works Christ, called Him a worker of iniquity.

There is a clue in that?

Again it would seem you would agree that he does cleanse us. Just no over and over every time time we sin in unbelief. If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. if we confess our sins as he turn us towards him he is faithful as the just and justifier of our salvation.

whether you like to hear it or not mate all this doctrin does is mock good works... thats why so many are offended,,, and how long are you going to keep on doing that ?
Mock whose good works of faith? Christ's work of faith or that of your own self? ha he begun that good work in you and he is not able to finish it??

Scripture informs us His good works is enough. What your living Hope?

Philippians 1:6 Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ:

Galatians 3:3 Are ye so foolish? having begun in the Spirit, are ye now made perfect by the flesh?

Imagine a different way of putting this. In Christ through faith we become one.
We are God holy temple on earth, Christ working to bring blessing and faith to
the world.

So once you are in Christ, ones behaviour is that of Christ. So if you sin, you
are either saying Christ is sinning or you are not yet truly walking as you should.

So it is no long self righteousness, but Christs righteousness at work in your
body.

Oh my...
Okay, let's see...
The foolish galatians, Paul said, were bewitched, were trying to finish in the flesh what began by the Spirit. They were trying very hard to help in their being made holy. But it is from start to finish, through trust in Christ. Salvation is by faith alone. It came to you in no other way than by trusting Jesus for it. You didn't earn it. Now begins your growing sanctification, which is increasing in holiness, increasing in virtues. This sanctification is ALSO by faith alone.

There is a picture of this in the OT with Abraham. God promised a child. They tried to help bring that promised child about. But God refused to bless that child as the heir. He made Abraham send the child of his own works away because only the child of Gods' work would be blessed and receive the inheritance.

There is a phase of growth that I went through and I think almost everyone does, but I could be wrong on that. Some may not. It's where you begin to try to make the child that will be blessed and receive the inheritance. You try by the work of your own hands to bring the promised child. You want the child of your own effort and working to be the one that receives the blessing. But God won't allow it. The child of our own effort must be sent away. That child will not share in the blessing and the inheritance.

When we are in that phase of trying to be good and be holy, we are deluded. We think we are doing pretty good. When He shows us just how deep our sickness goes, we reach a point where we say, I can't be good. I can't do. I seem to go along pretty well but then someone cuts me off in traffic and I murder them in my heart. Or my mom tries to manipulate me and I murder her in my heart. Or someone here in forum says something nasty to me and I murder them. So then I realize I can't do it and I return to Him in faith (trust) that He will somehow do what He has said He will do. And then I begin to see great victories over my heart and my tongue and my pride.

Really? I'm pretty sure the Bible calls it a fruit of the spirit. So in your world it's a works...in biblical terms it's a status of a heart. Are you trying to be unbiblical today? Lol

And it's really funny that you use a word like "pal" so passive aggressively. The darkness in your heart is invisible to you.

Paul use to hate christians with avengence,,, he use to lock them up and all sorts...then he decides to impute scripture without explaining the meaning very good.... unlike Jesus who was straight to the point,,and the only guy who truly warned us about demons..

Yeah mate thats right im calling some of pauls teaching not Good enough for missing meanings out..:D

If ya cant handle this truth then ill pray for your diserment on this matter and hope we can accept that not all words spoken in the bible has one meaning..
